"I am not here to argue with you but you've gotta tell me where you went for hours without even informing or seeking my permission." I demanded and she broke into a derisive laughter.
"And why do I have to seek your permission? Why do you need to be informed? Why do you suddenly care?" She yelled standing up immediately.
Why is she acting up simply because I asked her a simple question?
"I just asked you a question Cynthia, don't try to ignore my question."
"I have no answer to give to you, my going out and coming in is none of your business." She snapped and continued drying her hair while facing the mirror.
I closed up the space between us and forcefully made her look at me.
"What has come over you Cynthia?"
"You! You're not treating me like your wife, you don't care if I am okay or not, you act like I don't exist. You just married me so the pack won't stop pestering you. Since we got married, we have never had sex, you starved me for weeks. Do you think I would be happy?" She yelled and I sighed heavily.
If she only knows what I am passing through emotionally,
"Fine, I will make it up to you, you should answer my question first." I persisted and she smirked.
"I can see I just yelled for nothing, I wasted my words and energy. You should also tell me where you go most times without your Beta, I am not the only one at fault."
"I went for a night walk,"
"Night walk indeed! Why can't we go for the night walk together? Stop trying to fool me and just leave my room, I am not in the mood to talk to you." She snapped and continued with what she was doing.
I pulled her by the hands and she slapped my hands immediately,
"You expect me to stay in my room all day doing nothing? I actually went to see a friend, I hope I have satisfied your curiosity!"
A friend? That sounds like a lie,
"If you don't believe me, you should just get out." She yelled.
I gulped and glanced at her before leaving her room. I decided not to argue or quarrel with her anymore.
Even though we act like strangers, she is still my wife and I won't allow her to mess things up.
I went straight to meet Collins.
He was busy trying to put some things in order.
"Hey, that face shows you guys quarrel," he said walking up to me and I sighed.
"I need you to start monitoring every one of Cynthia's moves, I smell something fishy about her."
