"Will the Hero and his companions be eating in the dining area or shall I have food delivered to your rooms?" He asked staring at me but I saw him glance over at Ella with a slight look of terror.
"Send it up to our rooms" Ella answered before I could with a cold voice that made the short old man shiver and quickly nod.
"Y~yes yes! I'll have it ready as soon as possible!" He bowed toward us and almost ran off in the direction of the kitchen.
"What's wrong with him?" I raised an eyebrow as I looked toward Ella who only walked toward the stairs while shrugging her shoulders.
"How would I know?" I watched her leave or technically I watched her wide hips and prominent buttocks sway before she disappeared.
After the brief interaction with the innkeeper, I followed Ella up the stairs, Nessa still clinging to my arm. The inn was modest but comfortable, a perfect place to rest and unwind after our recent battle.
"I'm going to clean up first" As we reached the second floor I gently disentangled myself from Nessa's grasp who instantly poured at me.
"Fine" She grumbled under her breath but before I could react she got on her tippy toes and I felt her supple lips press against my cheek.
"Hurry up" Nessa had a teasing look on her face but she couldn't the shyness that crept through.
She didn't hesitate quickly turning around and almost running off toward her room leaving me speechless, I tried to calm myself down feeling my heated cheeks as I looked at where Nessa disappeared before heading to the washroom.
'That girl is going to kill me' I thought rubbing my cheek where her soft lips touched.
The washroom was simple, with basic wooden floors and a small window that let in the afternoon light. A basin filled with water and a cloth lay ready on a small table. Compared to the Duchesses Estate It wasn't anything special but for me who had grown up in a small rural village it actually wasn't half bad.
I splashed water on my face, the coolness refreshing after the heat of battle. As I cleaned off the dirt and grime, my mind wandered back to the journey that had brought us here. The responsibility of being the Hero weighed heavily on my shoulders, but having my companions with me made it bearable.
Ella's unwavering support and determination, Nessa's innocent charm and positivity, and the Duchess's guidance and strength had all been crucial. Each of them brought something unique to the party, and I was grateful for their presence.
'What would I do without them' I thought with as my lips curved upward.
Once I felt sufficiently clean, I changed into a fresh set of clothes. The comfort of clean garments was a small but welcome relief. I stepped out of the washroom to find Ella and Nessa talking quietly by the window.
"Feel better?" Ella glanced at me, her expression softening slightly.
"Much better thank you," I replied with a smile.
"The washroom's free if you want to clean up." I said to them as I walked closer shaking my head slightly to dry my wet hair.
"I'll go next," Nessa said with a smile standing up.
Her heavy chest swayed as she moved drawing my eye making me wonder how such an innocent looking elf could have such massive breasts, her long white hair trailing behind her. She gave me a shy smile before disappearing into the washroom and closing the door leaving just me and Ella in the silent hallway.
"You know, I've been thinking," Ella moved to leaning against the wall beside me.
"About our journey and everything we've faced."Her presence comforting as she began to speak with her voice soft.
"What's on your mind?" I looked at her noting the seriousness in her eyes.
"I'm worried about what comes next. The demons are getting stronger, and our battles are only going to get harder." She hesitated for a moment before continuing.
"I know," I admitted understanding where she was coming from after all I had the same doubts everyday.
"But we have to keep pushing forward. We can't give up now." I smiled gently at her before Ella nodded, a determined look in her eyes.
"You're right I just want to get stronger not only to beat the demon king but also for…you" Ella said with a slightly embarrassed face making my heart turn warm.
