Chapter 34

"Why would someone do an assassination attempt with seven people? It makes no sense." Izuku, Ezra, Bleitz, and Roger are in the Homage's office. "I would have liked to keep one alive, but Ezra had a fever and I couldn't risk it." Izuku states. "Yeah, because I'm pregnant." She objects. Everyone looks at her, then at Izuku. "What?" Roger yells. "I'm only a couple of days in. Five days to be exact." She responds. She holds Izuku's hand. "Well, congrats Lord First, and you too your highness." Bleitz looks at Izuku. "Well, looks like we'll have a little one in our presence. No blood, swearing, or something that will make Lord First kill us." Roger orders. "Oh, have either of you found any more people for your units?" Izuku asks. Roger nods. "We now have three squads of fifteen people." Izuku looks at Bleitz. "And what about you?" He asks him. "Two squads of twenty." Bleitz responds. "Good. Teach them what you know." Izuku looks out the window. "I have a feeling we're going to need them."

As the day ends and the sun sets, people enter their homes. They greet their children and their life partner and start making dinner, except for two people. Izuku and Ezra walk around and look at the beautiful sky, and some of the lights in the buildings. They walk until dark and go back to their home. Izuku puts his cloak on a coat rack by the front door and Ezra goes to the kitchen. "Let me cook. I have a recipe I want to try." Ezra nods and sits down at the table. He cooks the Ramen and makes the broth. Once he's finished, he serves the Ramen and starts thinking about his mother. "What's wrong?" Izuku looks at her. "I never told you my real age. I was what, fourteen?

"Well, I'm really two hundred sixty-six years old.

My mother was killed around when I was cryogenically frozen for two hundred years. I want to take you. If that's all right." She nods and hugs him after finishing her ramen. "Yes. What brought it up?" she asks. "My mom loved ramen." He grabs onto her shoulder and teleports. He lands at the vault entrance. He pushes a button on top of the vault door, sending it down. As they enter, they walk through a radiation detector. Izuku activates a memory quirk and two blue people walk in front of him. They look like a fourteen-year-old and his mother. Izuku follows them as well as Ezra. They enter the cryo pod room. The blue people stand in front of two different pods. The fourteen-year-old enters Izuku's old pod and the mother enters her pod, then they disappear. "That was me and my mother entering this place." He looks around the room and sees cameras in the corners. "It's data...code repeating until this place runs out of power. That means there is something to tell me when it happened.

Wait...security cameras? That must mean there is a security office!" Izuku grabs Ezra's shoulder and teleports to the office. They land in front of a terminal and Izuku looks around. He sees nothing of interest and turns the terminal on. He sees the latest security and opens it. It shows multiple empty cryo pods, except one. His mother was sitting in one, when three of the same people walk towards her. "Three more of them? I thought I destroyed them all." They take her body and leave. "Well, now I know how she got quirks. But this isn't what I'm looking for." He exits out and scrolls to the other one that had detected movement, dating 202 years ago. "This is the one. It has to be." He opens it. He sees three people walking down and stop in front of a cryo pod. "Look, grab the kid and leave the mother." a person says in a hazmat suit. The cameras switch, showing a different view. "What if she doesn't have the baby?" kellogg asks. "We'll take the mothers DNA. You work for the Institute, you should know everything about this mission." Kellogg pulls the revolver.

"I did, and if she fights back, kill her." Izuku turns off the terminal. "That's enough." he says.
