Chapter : 55 Original

The time for the next event came in what appears to be a split second. All the 16 remaining participants were gathered on the arena.

Midnight came on stage and said, "Now we will announce who will fight whom!!"

She point towards the big screen, " Your match up will appear on the screen."

The screen lit up and the people were finally able to see the match ups. Some rejoiced and some gasp in horror.

The matchups were like this.

1.Kaminari vs Shiozaki

2.Todoroki vs Sero

3.Ida vs Toru

4.Momo vs Kendo

5.Midoriya vs Shinso

6.Kirishma vs Tetsutetsu

7.Aoyama vs Ochako

8.Bakugo vs Monoma

The basic rule was, make your opponent unable to fight or push them off the platform.

Bakugo looked towards 'his to be' opponent. Expecting to see him scared and nervous but he saw the boy turning his head to meet him as well.

The boy had yellow hair and his face was pinched together in a wide smile. He looked...confident.

Bakugo was not suprised, nor angry. But he was not very fond of the expression 'his to be' opponent had. He wanted to blow away his unsettling smile.

He tilted his head up to look at the screen again. Now he was observing who he would have to fight after defeating Monoma and all the other possible opponents.

Ochako or Aoyama. Next probably Midoriya and at the finals Todoroki.

He smiled widely at that. Fate was in his favor. He was not sure whether he would fight Ochako or Aoyama but he was sure Midoriya and Todoroki would not lose to other students.

The only downside to this arrangement is the possibility of fighting Ochako. He was not amused with the idea of hurting her, but if he had to fight her, he would not go easy on her either.

Hopefully she losses.

"Now!! Except for the first fight, the other may leave the arena." Midnight announced and the crowd cheered, excited.

They all leave the huge arena except Kaminari and Shiozaki. The class A students went to the back stadium to watch the battle while the two students who would battle next - Todoroki and Sero - went to the waiting room.

Bakugo took a seat, on his left was Midoriya and on his right side sat Toru, Ochako and Momo respectively. They talk about the the one more likely to win.

Especially Momo and Midoriya began analysing their quirks in detail.

In the end they feel like Kaminari was more likely to win.

"I am saying Kaminari is more likely to win. We know that Kaminari is able to discharge more than 1000000 volts!! Even if it's just a one trick thing I think it's too much. And the green vines contain water and we all know water is a good conductor of electricity - " Momo continued.

Discussion like these took place, with Midoriya arguing that the versility of Shiozaki quirk may be able to turn the battle so it's not certain.

"And she's a pretty girl." Bakugo commented, backing up his bro Midoriya in his stand that Kaminari's win was not certain.

Three heads snap at his direction. The six eyes on those head squinted at Bakugo, making him feel weird.

"Kaminari is a simp, he may hesitate and he is obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed." He explained with a shrug, thinking that the reason they were looking at him was because they were confused.

The girl slowly retracted their gaze and Momo pondered on the thought, catching on the flaw of her thinking. People were not logical, a fight does not depend only on quirks. Instead mentality and physicality were also an important factor.

They had small talks like this until Present Mic's voice boomed through the stadium, "Everyone get READY!!!"

Midnight swing her whip "The battle between Denki Kaminari of class A and Ibara Shiozaki of class B. Start!!!"

The battle began.

And it brought humiliation to the Class A students.

The moment the battle started, Kaminari get down on one knee and preach his love for his opponent, as if he was Romeo.

When Shiozaki rejected him and urge him to fight, he said, "How cruel fate can be. To pin us against each other. Nevertheless, I would do as you wish. But promise me you would go out with me if I win." He flashed a smile and even wink at the end.

Urggh, he did not know that these kind of stuff only works for handsome protagonist in fanfiction or cultivations.

The battle started, and lasted 8 seconds.

Kaminari was suspended in the air with a dumb expression on his face. The crowd laughed at the scene.

"Hahaha!!" An overly exaggerated laugh echoed in the area where Class B are seated "Class A students really are stupid, they should really even stop themselves from showing their face on TV. They make us look bad."

The Class A students, Midoriya and others frowned as they were just a level above the platform.

Bakugo got up and look down from the edge of their level and said, "Better shut your lound mouth extra, you are extra annoying."

The boy who was laughing Monoma looked up and with a disgusted smile, "What will you do? Ask me out too."

Bakugo did not like that, "Be careful with your words, don't make me come down there."

Monoma was gonna reply but a huge hand grab him and silent him. It was Kendo, she looked at Bakugo with a helpless smile and apologized.

Bakugo went back in his seat, finding another reason to completely blow away the guy.

[MC POV]

The match continued, it was now a battle between Sero and Todoroki. Sero was visibly nervous while Todoroki had a straight face.

The match began like normal, and indeed there was a battle between them. But that is, only for around half a second.

"Sorry." Todoroki whispered an apology before his left side caught on fire and gigantic ice erupted from the ground.

The air was bone chilling and the sound of everything freezing could be heard, tickling one's spine.

*foosh~*

It was cold and white, the ice overflows, a shield was erected to protect the audience and huge ice spikes overflow from the stadium itself.

It was cold, unnecessary and awesome. The crowd was silent. The attack was overwhelming and crazy.

Such attack at such little time. It was impressive. 'So that's what he can do. when he go all out.' I mused.

The reign of silence was short. For a ear splitting sound of cheers and applause resounded, shaking the stadium.

Todoroki then turn his head and look at me. His eyes shining with a challenging glint that made me incline from my seat.

A crazed smile split my face as I return his gaze like a mirror.

"How exciting."

Midnight came out of her stupor and finally declared him victor. Todoroki went to the traumatized Sero and apologize again while evaporating the ice.

The next fight was Ida and Toru. I honestly expected Ida to breeze through Toru. I trained her and I knew that she was clearly at a disadvantage.

But she surprised me. Just as she did in the second event where she was the rider and she made her headband disappear.

It seems that the others were still not aware of the fact that Toru could make objects near her disappear.

The fight was close. Toru made herself completely disappear and completely beat down Ida. But being much more physically stronger, he could endure it.

There are times when Toru nearly managed to push down Ida from the platform, but it ultimately failed.

It must not be easy to fight an invisible enemy. Ida struggled until at last he found a stategy.

Producing smoke from his engine. And in doing so he could know the rough location of Toru. And the fight did not stretch long after that, and Toru lost.

She was sad but satisfied with herself. Especially after I commended her and gave her headpats - which for whatever reason she really enjoyed.

The next fight was Momo vs Kendo.

It was a little one sided, with Momo being the winner. She kept her distance during the whole fight, using a gun with rubber bullets.

Kendo was persistent and they had a brief close combat where Momo uses a steel staff. Then she made a flashbang and while Kendo was blinded, she created a canon.

Momo fired and Kendo blocked it but the force sent her flying out of the platform. But the creation of such big object caused Momo's back to be heavily exposed. Her dainty back was revealed.

It was not even an exciting fight but the crowd was unusually excited during the fight. The roar of males as the two fought was a sound to behold.

It truly was a sight that could ignite passion in the hearts of men. Kendo's tight and torn clothes as she moved around and the visible skin of Momo that made men desperate to reveal just a little more.

It really put into perspective how disgusting and horny men really are, I was really disappointed.

"You're too loud Kacchan."

"Shut up Deku."

The next fight was between Midoriya and Shinso. The fight went just as cannon with Shinso admitting defeat the moment Midoriya broke out of his control.

He was nowhere to be seen after that, possibly talking with All Might about his experience.

The crowd was also underwhelmed.

As if to make up for the boring fight, the next match was a fight that made everyone unconsciously move towards the edge of their seat.

The fight between Kirishima and Tetsutetsu can only be described as a brawl of gladiators.

They did not even think about defending, they exchanged blows after blows, eat blows after blows.

The sound of their clash was like the sound of steel clashing steel. Pretty sure just watching them fight increase one's testerone.

It was hard to even try to root for the other. Victory has a cost, something most cannot afford. But they both payed for victory with blood.

It was a competition between who could endure longer, who was more stubborn. Who wanted victory more.

And at the end, only by a thread did Kirishima claim victory.

He too fell unconscious with a smile the moment he was announced as a winner.

Truth be told, I was proud. Really proud. As a classmate and as his friend.

Next was the fight between Aoyama and Ochako. It was...really underwhelming. Even more so after watching such an epic battle.

Ochako, dodge and dodge and dodge all the laser attacks from Aoyam and when he experience some backlash, Ochako grab him, make him weightless and throws him out.

That's it..

Now, finally it was my turn. My opponent was a yellow haired extra. The one I plan to defeat extra hard.

"A student and a rising star from Class A, Katsuki Bakugo!!!"

*Wahhhhhhh!!!!?!!*

The crowd was at their loudest. Their shouts were deafeaning and thunderous. Excitement and adrenaline hit it's peak as I walk through the hall and into the open arena.

A welcoming I deserved.

I can't help my eye from changing its shape and my lips from splitting. I might scare someone but I can't help it.

[3rd POV]

Bakugo and Monoma stare down at each other, the only thing restraing them was the start of the match.

"Fight!" Midnight announced, prompting Bakugo to lower his center of gravity and ready to pounce.

"Wait a minute."Monoma raise both his hands, confusing Bakugo and the audience.

"I apologize for what happened before. I hope there are no hard feelings." He said and approach Bakugo, stretching out his hand for a handshake. He stopped in front of Bakugo and they both pause.

Bakugo saw through the act but entertain it. "Sure, I guess." He shook Monomo's hand.

As if a devil who just finished signing a contract with a human, Monoma displayed a devilish grin.

"Yeah..." His voice was high pitched and euphoric, "I'm sorry you guys are so stupid!!" He dramatically put the palm of his hands on Bakugo's chest and then...

..

..

.

nothing.

Absolutely nothing happened. Leaving Monoma and the audience confused.

'What? But I can feel his quirk inside me!!'

"Hahahahahah." Bakugo let out a maniac laugh. "Don't worry, you are forgiven." Bakugo said and a thunderous explosion erupted, blowing away Monoma.

*Boom*

Monoma's form was covered in smoke as it flew away. But surprisingly, his body moved mid air and plant itself on the ground. The smoke dispersed after he stopped, it revealed Monoma with silver like skin. It was the quirk of Tetsutetsu.

The crowd erupted in confusion and excitement.

"A copy quirk huh? Do you think you can copy my quirk as well?" Bakugo said, answering the people's question. They gasp at the revelation.

"You are not worthy!!?" He propel himself forward at breakneck speed.

Monoma's skin returned normal and he quickly put his hands on the ground. The cement ground moved as if it was alive and five huge wall of concentrated cement was erected between Bakugo and him.

Bakugo simply blast through them but it slowed him enough for Monoma to retreat.

Then the cement ground came alive again, following the orders and will of Monoma, multiple hands formed and rush at Bakugo. Trying to crush him.

Bakugo simply blast them away.

*Boom*

It was fast and destructive.

The the ground opened up beneath Bakugo. Like the maw of some nightmarish abomination, the ground swallowed him.

*BOOOM!!*

It explodes, derbis dispersed all over, and a shield protected the audience.

A sonic boom and Bakugo was already in front of Monoma, blasting at him. Monoma manage to harden his skin but he was sent flying away.

Mid air his skin returned to normal and the cement came and caught him, preventing him from falling on the ground.

Then Moonoma roared, "Die!!" the cement, not only from the arena but from the stadium as well jump out. They were cubic in nature and they rush at Bakugo with heavy momentum.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

From all direction, he was attacked until he was completely buried under it.

"What happened?"

There was no sound, but then there was explosion.

*KABOOM!!!*

Bakugo was revealed, not a scratch on his visage. He was smiling, the cement around him was reduced to lava, everything was golden.

Cement was just that, cement. Not enough to trap him, not worthy to harm him. He was just too much to be contained.

"Let me show you how to do it." Bakugo said.

Then a golden ball formed in his palm. Everything burns, everything was golden, it was blinding.

Monoma yelled and put his hand on the ground, his hand looked like cement at this point. The ground rush in front of him, to save and protect him from the unstoppable.

The air hummed as Bakugo point his palm at Monoma.

He roared. His roar was not a copy, his was natural and it held unfathomable weight.

It was the original.

"DIE!!!"

*Phoo~*

*BOOOOM!!!*
