[Mechanics Mastery - Intermediate]

|Rarity: Uncommon|

You are as skilled as the average trained mechanic in terms of your ability to maintain, fix and even create general appliances and machines.

I blinked at the notification I got and rolled the ticket instantly. I don't know how this is different from passing the villain test but I won't complain about a relative freebie, no sir I won't. Besides, being able to fix my phone and stuff when it breaks sounds decent, even if did disorientate me with years of mechanical experience.

Putting aside the quirky system(heh) I looked around and whistled in appreciation. UA sure was something else, I almost couldn't believe this was a Japanese school. It was bigger than most colleges I have seen.

Toga already ran ahead of me in anticipation while I was taking a look around the place trying to memorize the places of importance because I for sure knew our impending hobo teacher sure wouldn't let us learn about our school.

Walking toward Class 1-A after getting some guidance from a fellow student about where I was I walked there while admiring the view of the ocean from the windows.

As I was right by the huge ass door that was at least 4 times my height(excessive accessibility?) I heard shouting coming from inside. A rough but feminine voice arguing with the engine guy? I don't remember this happening but then again I got the remix curse so I do not have much room for complaint.

Without dwelling much on it, I opened the door to get inside and saw my new class.

"Hey! Don't put your feet on the desk! It's disrespectful and unladylike! What would the people who made the desk think about you dirtying it like this!?" The four-eyed living exhaust pipe rambled on as my eyes were drawn to the person he was berating... or well, was trying to berate.

A young woman wearing the UA Academy uniform minus the blazer that was ditched, she had a rather pleasing athletic figure with a sizable bust that was slightly less than Mina's I think. The most striking part was her long spiky creamy blonde hair tied in a ponytail and her crimson eyes, her face held a sneering expression as stared at the boy in front of her. Her legs covered in black thigh highs still on the desk.

"Hah? The fuck you say you four-eyed extra? Why don't you mind your own damn business." She sneered at the boy who grew even more agitated while I stood still staring at her trying to decipher what this meant.

She obviously was Bakugou but gender-bent if that piece of shit condescending attitude had anything to say. Well, I don't think this would impact canon that much right? At least, the curse said minor changes, so it probably won't. I can't remember any love interest for him so no problems should arise.

Unfortunately, it seems I was caught with my hand in the cookie jar as she turned her raging teen angst and superiority complex toward me.

"And you, what the hell are you looking at you gloomy bastard?" I raised my eyebrow at her challenging tone.

Let it be said, Hakari Kotaro was never one to take bullshit standing down.

And she was precisely the type of person I very much disliked. The type that thought they had to right to treat other people like worms because they hype themselves up and see themselves as their betters.

"Oh, you must be Bakugou, the one who scored second place on the exam. The names Hakari, nice to meet ya." I also smirked and did a little heh which seemed to do extra damage to her fragile little ego after I called her second place as she shot up from her desk at alarming speeds and slammed her crackling hands down on it.

"Are you looking down on me huh!? you bastard? Who cares if you are number one for now!? Just because you lucked out on the exam doesn't mean shit you hear me?" She glared holes into my skull as I knew the best way to make her angrier.

I shrugged and smirked, putting my smuggest expression on.

"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night second place." She glowered even harder, her hands crackling with mini explosions as she strode toward me while I silently primed Phase Shift and Celular Overdrive, my eyes starting to glow a pale yellow light. She may be strong but in such a close range I could tear off her jaw before she could raise her arms.

"I'll show you second place right now you fucking basta- what the-!?" Bakugou suddenly stopped in place and looked at her hands in confusion which had stopped crackling and I also noticed my Phase Shift was also turned off. So it does affect me. I didn't expect that, I thought my abilities came from a completely different source than quirks? Maybe since the system can bend reality it also equalizes my abilities with quirks.

Cutting off my thought I turned around to come face to face with three familiar faces.

A moss-headed timid boy who was cowering in the corner while glancing between the apoleptic Bakugou and our homeless teacher who had risen from his caterpillar-like sleeping bag with his eyes red and his hair floating, glaring at me in particular for some reason, and a bubbly looking girl with chestnut brown hair in a long bob and a permanent blush who also looked somewhat worried. They seemed to be unchanged, that was a relief.

The man stepped inside the classroom after everyone quieted down and looked around with an unimpressed expression, but I could feel his gaze still on me even as I held an unreadable smile.

Finally, he spoke.

"All of you took 10 seconds to calm down, and a fight on the first day? You kids are not rational enough. This isn't middle school." He surveyed the entire class as the rest of the kids felt cold sweat trickle down their backs, at the same time I was also surveying the class for any abnormalities but found none other than Bakubitch.

"I'm your Homeroom Teacher, Shota Aizawa." He ruffled around the inside of his sleeping bag before pulling out the Gym Clothes for UA High and showing it to the class. "This is a bit sudden but put these on and head to the field." As the students were rushing out hearing his words he singled me out in particular, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"And you, stop picking fights, this is not a game." I looked into his irritated eyes.

Was this asshole for real? What's up his ass now?

"I don't know what you're talking 'bout sensei but as you can see I was the last to get violent. Now I have to catch up with everyone so 'scuse me." Brushing off his words as he tsked in irritation I caught up with the rest of the class who were heading to the locker rooms.

As I was going along with everyone another hand landed on my shoulder, as I was already irritated I turned to see who was trying to pick a fight I was Ida with a sincere expression.

"You are Hakari-kun right? I wanted to apologize to you for my actions in the exam briefing. If I had known that you were so capable I would have never spoken like that. It hurts me to admit but you are my better." He spoke while making exaggerated robot motions, I just sighed and put my hands on his shoulder.

At least he could see his faults, plus I had the foreknowledge that he was a pretty decent guy so he was fine.

"Water under the bridge, Engine. Just try not to be so uptight next time alright? You won't get any ladies if you are so strung up all the time." I chuckled as he looked taken aback, adjusting his glasses he started walking beside me.

"I... will keep that in mind next time, yes. Also, I wanted to formally introduce myself. I am Tenya Ida from Somei Private Academy." I nodded as we walked together.

"You are alright Engine. The 'names Hakari Kotaro, just call me however you'd like I don't mind, no need to be so formal." I lightly punched his shoulder as he smiled lightly.

"I see, I will stick to Hakari-kun then. Now then, let us not keep the teacher waiting any longer Hakari-kun." I followed the tall boy while raising my eyebrows.

Why did everyone call me Hakari anyway? Even Toga did and we were fucking. My first name is Kotaro, not Hakari, maybe Hakari just rolls off the tongue better?

Sigh.

Whatever.

After everyone had changed to their gym outfits prepared for them beforehand in their personal lockers we all came down to the field. Thankfully I knew this and wore a compression shirt underneath my uniform so that I did not have to show skin.

Not because I was embarrassed mind you, but because I did not want to have to explain why I looked like the survivor of three separate bear attacks.

We were in front of Aizawa while I appraised my fellow students around me, I also saw Toga sneaking uncertain glances at me from being under the gaze of a pro hero but she seemed to find a friend group already with Mina and the invisible girl as they chatted away before Aizawa announced.

A quirk assessment test.

"What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" Uraraka asked worried as the other students made vague noises of agreement while Aizawa still looked like he didn't give a shit.

"If you are going to be a hero you won't have the time for such leisurely events."

I shook my head.

What a fucking idiot.

This is what happens when you get a veteran with blood-tainted glasses to teach school lessons.

'You won't have the time for such leisurely events' But he apparently does have the leisurely time to teach kids, your peers have time to advertise products, and even Allmight, the hero workaholic had his own brand image and participated in advertisements, interviews and such in his prime.

I know he has trauma from getting his friend splattered or something but that precisely is why they shouldn't let a traumatized man teach high schoolers about a job where his duty is a massive outlier.

As he continued talking about how depriving the students of getting to know their school was tradition or something he continued rambling.

"Up until now, you all have been subjected to basic fitness tests without getting to use your quirks, it's not rational. This time, you all will perform the same tests with your quirks." Then his gaze landed on my irritated one as he threw the ball toward me which I caught.

"Hakari, you scored first, right? What was your maximum distance in high school?" I just shrugged. "I don't know. Probably 40-something." He furrowed his eyebrows in irritation.

"So you came to this school without even knowing your own limits? Damn, problem child. Whatever, just throw it as far as you can without leaving the circle you can use anything."

My eyes twitched in irritation.

This guy was really getting on my nerves.

A/N: Aizawa is a terrible teacher, a very good hero and overall person but probably the worst not evil-inclined character for teaching heroism. You have to remember that the job of Hero is not being a soldier, it's closer to a mix of police officer and celebrity unlike how he treats it.

And Hakari is quickly getting fed up with his shit. Also, I gender-bent Bakugou, because goddamit I will not be denied a potential Oyakodon opportunity and hatefucking. As you might have also noticed Aizawa really doesn't like him for some reason, I wonder why that is.

Day one and Hakari is already stirring the pot with all his might.
