Quirks and their Types

Quirk Types

-type

Have the ability to either release certain substances, or alter materials around them in certain ways.

Emitter-type Quirks usually require a conscious effort to activate (such as Electrification, Explosion, and Half-Cold Half-Hot).

Some even require large amounts of concentration in order for them to remain active (such as Erasure).

Transformation-type

These Quirks allow the user to temporarily "transform" their body in a variety of manners.

Sometimes enhancing existing features (Hardening, Gigantification) or perhaps adding new features to the body altogether (Tool Arms).

These Quirks generally affect the user exclusively, the only known exceptions being the Meatball Quirk.

It's also known as the Hybrid Type due to possessing aspects of both Emitter and Mutant Types.

Mutant

These Quirks can have a wide variety of features and abilities depending on the individual.

The common similarity seems to be that these Quirks are a part of the user's physicality.

Causing the user to exhibit irregular bodily features that generally have some sort of purpose to them.

As a result, Mutant Quirks are passively active and, at a glance, are the most identifiable.

One For All, Type: Emitter

Transferable Quirk that each user cultivates before passes it onto the next.

As each new user gains the Quirk it becomes stronger than it was for the previous bearer.

It was originally two seperate Quirks.

One a Quirk that stockpiles power

two a Quirk that could be transferred to others.

The Quirk must be given freely by the current bearer by ingesting some of their DNA (Hair for example).

Mysterious Quirk, Type: Emitter

Time-based Quirk that caused Izuku to come back to the day he found out he would be "Quirk-less" for life.

It appears to activate unconsciously for the time being, bringing the user back in time.

It has been observed that his eyes glow Silver after activation.

Explosion, Type: Emitter

Secretes sweat similar to nitroglycerin from palms and ignite to create various explosions.

These explosions get more powerful the more sweat there is.

However, if it's cold it takes longer to ignite the explosions.

Erasure, Type: Emitter

Temporarily erases another person's quirk, with some limitations. This Quirk has various different activation factors.

Common activation factors include looking at the person or touching them.

This Quirk causes the user's hair to stand up and for their eyes to glow red.

Engine, Type: Mutant

Engine-like protrusions that allow you to move at extraordinary speeds.

Engine requires fuel to function, juice is other healthy drinks are recommended to prevent stalling.

As with actual engines there are various gears as you go faster.

Zero Gravity, Type: Emitter

The ability to make objects float through touching them with the small pads on the tips of their fingers.

This makes them effectively weightless and in order to cancel it, you need to touch the pads of your fingers together.

There is a weight limit to the nullification of gravity though.

Half-Hot / Half-Cold, Type: Emitter

Allows the user to generate Ice from one side of their body and Fire from the other.

For the User to not freeze or overheat it's important for the user to alternate between Fire and Ice.
