Reunion
"Haah…What am I doing…" Rune let out a heavy sigh and spread his arms out along the rim of the bath while looking up at the ceiling.
He and the rest of the Crimson Bulls had returned to the capital and were staying at Mako's estate once again. She and all the others had managed to make it back safely. The success of their recent operation should have been a call for celebration, but instead, a tense atmosphere had settled over everyone.
Half a day had passed, and yet, Rune had not spoken to any of the girls a single time. The steaming water washed over his weary muscles as he soaked in the bath. It should have felt comforting, but instead, his body felt stiff.
