Interlude: A Secret Talk

In an isolated part of the manor, two individuals, a man, and a woman, were talking in private, away from prying eyes.

Another day had gone by, leaving Rune with only one more to break Rienn's curse. A messenger had arrived this morning to inform the party that they would soon be getting details on their next operation. The council's most trusted information gatherers had gotten word of a location where many suspicious individuals had been coming and going over the past month. They most likely planned to raid this location, but a few more things needed to be done before this could happen.

"What do you think of him? Rune, I mean. You got to speak with him a bit, right?" Serac asked. The woman in front of him was Neria, the trusted head maid of the household. Her true identity was that of Rienn's mother, yet she acted out her role without complaint.
