Always Double Check

The battle between the girls and the Barrier Crusher was heating up. Luna and Fleur were feeling considerably worn down, but the Crusher showed no sign of tiring. Every time they inflicted wounds on it, it performed the same trick and forced them close before continuing its rampage. They needed to find some way to deal more significant damage to it, but they knew they could not do it here.

The building was showing signs of weakening, and if they continued to fight where they were, then they risked bringing was remained of the palace crashing to the ground. This could not be allowed to happen. Rune was being guarded by Carin on the basement level, but it would not hold up if the rest of the palace came crashing down on top of it. They needed to find a way to move the beast before it did any more damage to the palace.
