Ethan stood in front of a large tactical display inside the Ark's briefing room, a cup of coffee in hand, as the crew gathered around. The atmosphere was tense, but that wasn't anything new. Ever since the Vrak invasion and the aftermath of the battle, the crew had been on edge, constantly preparing for the next threat to show itself. But this time, it wasn't the Shadow Council or a massive alien fleet that had drawn their attention. It was something far more subtle, and, in some ways, far more dangerous.
Prella leaned against the wall, her arms crossed, her sharp eyes scanning the data streaming across the screen. Vala sat casually in one of the chairs, her blaster resting on her lap, though her expression betrayed a hint of curiosity. Nova stood beside Ethan, her fingers flickering as she processed the data faster than any human could.
