HINA AND SKYE PT-1

[Emma Frost's Penthouse] [3rd person POV]

Emma used her power to go deep into Alex's conscience. But the deeper she went, the stronger the resistance became. It's as if someone or some unknown force is preventing her from going further.

"What's this energy?!" Emma Frost mumbled to herself. She found a black and red cluster of energy swirling within Alex's conscience. It gave her the vibe of danger Jean Grey usually emits during battle.

Emma Frost knew Alex was a special case after she heard Professor X praising him, but she wasn't expecting similar power to Phoenix Force.

"No! This power is even more destructive than Phoenix Force. Just who are you, Alex Wilson? How did you come in possession of such dark power? And why did someone put up a mental barrier around your memories?" Emma Frost mumbled to herself with a curious expression.

Emma Frost had experience with things like this, but this was the first time she faced such enormous resistance. It's as if someone is preventing Alex from remembering something.

Emma Frost wondered-

'Why would anyone do that?'

'What's is hidden within his memories?'

...

"Huh! Wha..." Emma Frost opened her eyes. She was lying in front of a glowing gate. A vibrant green light was glowing on that gate with occasional flickers of green lightning. However, the light wasn't illuminating the darkness around it.

'What is this place?' Emma Frost wondered. In that pitch-black world, she could see countless red veins-like things glowing and pulsating around her.

'I can't feel my body?!' She was stunned as a glimpse of fear appeared on her face, 'The connection... Severed!!!'

Emma Frost's connection with her body has been severed. No matter what she tried, her powers weren't working anymore. She is like a regular human being without any abilities. She stood up from the ground and walked toward the glowing gate. She hasn't got many choices other than to explore further.

As soon as she touched the gate, she was pulled inside and thrown inside a narrow tunnel sparkling with red and purple energies. Her world started spinning like a pinwheel, making her unable to tell which direction she was going. She doesn't know if she is falling down or floating above.

'A place that dulls the sense of direction!'

Emma closed her eyes. This was the only way she could think of to prevent herself from blacking out. Keeping her eyes open inside that spinning tunnel nearly made her blackout. She is scared yet excited. She wants to discover the secrets at the end of this journey.

The thrill of discovering the unknown...

The danger...

It's been years since Emma felt such a rush...

While Emma was waiting for the spinning to end, a sudden hard yank threw her on the solid ground.

"Fuck! Arggg!" Emma cursed with a painful groan. Her head was spinning, and her muscles were aching crazily. It's as if she was in that world physically instead of her mental/Astral projection.

The pain was real.

It took a few minutes for her to recover.

Emma stood up slowly and looked. She is standing on a vast field under a giant tree.

The sunny sky stretched above her head, and fresh morning air brushed past her face. The chirpings of the birds and squirrels were like music to her ears. A massive flower field lies before her. She has never seen such species of flowers on Earth.

Emma was astonished by the view. She has been to the countryside many times before, but this view is nothing compared to those she has seen in her lifetime. No pollution, no skyscrapers, no vehicles... nothing that causes unnecessary noise. No machinery...

So peaceful... She thought.

"Chat would have liked it here," Emma mumbled, thinking about Chat and her little friends.

Her eyes fell on the big house, surrounded by five small houses, at the end of the field on her right. She also heard the chattering of people on the field.

"Workers!"

"Maybe, I will get some answers there..."

Emma made her way toward the big house. After getting near the house, she noticed that those houses were made of wood, just like those from ancient times.

The people working on the field didn't even notice her as she walked past them. But surprisingly, she could feel the muddy ground under her naked feet.

"It's so real. What is this place?" Emma mumbled quietly to herself.

"Mommy... Found you! Hehehe," A familiar yet unknown voice came from her back as two little arms grabbed her legs, "Daddy is looking for you."

'What the...? Mommy!?' Emma turned back and saw a little girl, maybe 5-6 years old, grabbing her legs. Her short pink hair is swaying along with the wind. Her bright smile made Emma's heartache for some reason. She was relieved to see that little girl unharmed.

"These emotions!" The emotions Emma was feeling didn't belong to her.

Emma instinctively went on her knees and hugged the little girl, and her name came to Emma's mouth naturally, "Hina! I told you not to loiter around alone when mommy is at work."

'What's happening to me? Everything was fine a moment ago, but now I can't control my body anymore!!!' Emma thought.

"Hehe. Don't worry, Mommy, Daddy is here with me," said Hina with a bright and innocent smile as she held her fist before Emma.

"Did he... Did Alex give it to you?" asked Emma, seeing the red crystal ring on her finger.

"Yes. Daddy made it for me. He said it will keep baddies and nightmares away from me," said Hina, puffing her chest, "Daddy said there are only two magic crystals ring like this in the world. One is for me, and one for Mommy."

"For me!" Emma stuttered as she felt a weird feeling in her belly. She felt her heart beating faster upon hearing Hina's words, "A-Alex said that...?!"

"Yes. Daddy will give you the purple crystal ring. He finally agreed to marry you," replied Hina cheerfully.

"Wha-What are you talking about? D-Don't you joke with me, little girl," Emma stuttered.

"Hehehe... I am telling the truth. There he is, ask Daddy," Hina pointed toward the big house.

Emma turned around and saw a man sitting near the big house, splitting wood.

A familiar face!

'Alex! But how?'

Emma was confused. That man before her eyes is definitely Alex Wilson, and there is no doubt about that. But the thing is, he looks grown up, and more muscular, and his body is riddled with scars.

Alex turned toward Emma. She was surprised to see a nasty scar on his right cheek down to his neck. It looks like a blade wound. His face looks rougher than the Alex she knows.

It's like an alternate version of Alex.

Emma was about to rush to him, but...

[Booom!] A massive explosion swept over the world. The heat was so treacherous that everything became a sea of flames in an instant.

"Nooo!!!" Before the heat could kill them, Alex blinked before them and created a faint black energy barrier.

After that, another chain explosion occurred. It's as if someone launched nuclear missiles at their location. The peaceful world turned to flames and ashes.

Alex pulled them closer to his chest and crouched down on the ground, taking the blunt force of the explosion. The thin energy shield cracked, and flames washed over them. But Alex summoned every ounce of his energy and shielded the two lives in his arms.

'This amount of destruction! Hina!'

Emma's eyes fell on the innocent little girl. She... She isn't moving. Emma wanted to use her power. She wanted to save the little life before her eyes. But she couldn't do anything. The restrictions won't allow her to act. She screamed and tried her best to break free...

"Hina!!! Come on... Why the fuck can't I use my power? Alex, forget about me... focus on saving her. Please... Don't let her die," Emma yelled, but no words came out of her mouth.

Her struggles were useless...

Hours later, the bombardment stopped.

"Hina... Skye..."

Alex's voice trembled. Blood was dripping from all over his body, but his wounds were healing at a rapid rate. However, the ones in his arms weren't replying...

Alex called their names over and over again...

"Al...Alex!" A painful voice came from Emma's mouth.

"Hey, hey, hey... It's going to be alright. I will save you. Please hold on," said Alex, cupping Emma's cheeks as tears started to flow out from his eyes.

"...Haha... Cough..." Emma's eyes fell on Hina. Her red ring was glowing. She saw a red energy shield around Hina, "She..."

"She is alright. The ring protected her," replied Alex.

He was pressing on the wound on Skye's chest. It's an iron rod. It flew through the crack on Alex's shield and pierced through his back to Skye's chest, rupturing her organs.

"Good... I am so relieved... I can finally rest in peace..." replied Skye. [Skye is the name of the body Emma was seeing the events through]

"Al-Alex... Will you... marry me?" Skye asked with great difficulty. Blood was oozing out from her chest and mouth. She doesn't have much time.
