Before Alan could finish his sentence, he was pushed off balance by lucy.
Before any of them could react, lucy had put herself in Alan's place.

The spider had used all of its remaining strength to shoot out a sharp spike made of web and poison.
Alan's eyes widened in disbelief.
The spider's poisonous spike drilled through lucy's back and came out the other side.
Alan could see her blood flying in the air in slow motion, not just the blood everything around him seemed to be in a state of pause.
Alan took back his balance and grabbed lucy before she fell to the ground.
The girls were frozen by its sudden attack, but soon took hold of themselves and came to lucy's rescue.
Alan held Lucy in his arms, as his hands drowned in her blood.
