Chapter Thirteen: Back to Reality

Nick walked out of the bathroom to see Jonah still laying in bed, passed out on his thin, cost-effective mattress with his legs hanging off the end of the bed.

Nick moved quietly around the dorm, continuously glancing at Jonah to see if he had awoken. His face was getting increasingly more red each time he glanced at Jonah’s unconscious body. Nick looked at his watch and saw he still had about a good half hour before class. He paced in front of his bed for a moment before finally deciding to just wake up Jonah. He moved over and kicked Jonah’s leg, startling him into consciousness.

Jonah leaned up on his elbows and rubbed the sleep from his eyes before looking around the room to see Nick standing above him.

“Hey, man, what’s up?” Jonah slowly forced himself into a seated position and continued to slowly rub his eyes.
