I opened my mouth, about to respond to Edward's question, but-
"He did it because he had to."
Edward turned to Nathan and gave a small bow.
"May I know the reason? I still do not understand."
Nathan took a deep breath.
"The kinds of people there are not good. If you just let them push you around, then more and more of them will come to take advantage of you."
His frown deepened as he walked up to Edward, looking up at him.
"You are still too focused on what's in front of you. Did you really believe that someone attempting to rob a random passerby would be a good person? If anything, losing one of his hands would be a good thing. Not to mention, he wasn't even killed."
A short moment of silence lingered, as Edward put one hand on the back of his neck. He took off his mask, showing a rather clear frown. His eyes appeared lost, clearly still seeing the things in the past instead of what was in front of him.
