Adonis's POV

I got inside my car and slammed the door, and I can see my mom running from my sister's house, but I am tired of being manipulated by her. I start the car and leave without even a second glance. My phone keeps on ringing from my mother's contact number and Ferlyn. I never walked away from our mom, and this is the first time I did something like this. I love and respect my mother, but she has been controlling my life ever since I can remember. I am just glad Cassandra didn't wait for me because she will be my other nightmare. The last thing I heard about her, she is married to a European businessman.

"Hello! Adonis! Why did you leave me at the reception?" I can hear the angry voice of Ferlyn as I answer her call.

"Where are you, Ferlyn? I need to talk to you." I said.
