"With this margin of increase of our recent products I believe we can make it go higher by placing a limited edition for consumers and other companies that will boost sales by 76%." The worker droned on and on about the sales pitch but Darian wasn't focused on the meeting at all he kept thinking about the kiss he shared with Akira in his home office. He kept thinking about how she melted into him and how well they fit each other. He wanted to feel what he felt for the first time in years. it was a spark. "What are you doing to me?" he grumbled. "Are you okay Mr. Stone-Michaels?" The worker asked having all eyes look at him in concern. "Yes I'm fine. Carry on." A mod went through as the man continued to speak about whatever he was talking about. After some time of putting his thoughts on his soon to be wife, he then decided to let his thoughts go and focus on the meeting that he was never focused on to begin with. "And that concludes this whole idea any questions?"
Everyone looked to Darian as he was the one who could approve or dismiss the project idea altogether. "I'll take a look at it in my office and let you know what I think." he then got up with the notes in hand to head straight to his office. "Sweet mother Mary. what's wrong with me?" Darian put his head in hands as he sat down and began to read the file. "Sir a woman is here to see you." The man at the front desk said through the phone speaker. "Who is it?" He asked hoping to avoid Akira just for a few hours so he could figure out his emotions.
"Rebecca Neymar is the name sir she is demanding that she see you right now." he groaned at the name. "I feel like you're playing with me now universe." he said pulling at his hair annoyed. "tell her I'm busy today and I can't see her." The man at the front desk told her and just like that you could hear the shouting of the woman and the man who was trying to keep his job go after her shouting back and Darian hung up the phone and went on to begin looking at the project idea in front of him as his door burst open just a second later.
"So we're ignoring people now?!" Rebecca's high pitched voice resonated in the office. "What do you want? Ms. Neymar?" he said sounding so calm. "I'm sorry sir. She told me she'd sue me for rape if I touched her once." the worker said as he held tears in his eyes. "You should know by now what I want by now." Rebecca stood up with her slightly heavy chest bouncing with each step she took. "I just want to get back together Darian." she kissed his ear. which made him go still. "I can't do that Ms. Neymar." He said as he began to push himself into his work.
"Why the formality Darian you know we have the best love-making. I can see you're in the mood too." She said pulling his chair back just to sit on his lap. "STOP!?" he then proceeded to grab her by the hand and take her off his lap and slammed her into a wall. "When are you going to understand that I don't want you anymore I don't want you at all so please." He said as the door opened and low behold Akira stood there in shock. "Shit!" he said as he saw her face show like so many emotions at one point and then go stoic.
"I came to bring this to you but I see you're 'busy' with work. as usual." Akira said with a harsh time that Darian didn't like at all. "You don't need her Darian you have me now." She said making Darian's eyes go dark in hatred and anger towards her. "You're to leave my company and never come back or else I will have you blacklisted from every place you can imagine." Rebecca looked at him surprised at his reaction after that lady came in. " She's not gonna stay with you for long Darian you know that just as well as I do. " She said as she felt a sting to left cheek only to realize that Darian smacked her. " When i come back you better be gone." Darian said removing his hold on her hands and leaving the office to find Akira.
"Where'd you go?" he said to himself as he went floor to floor looking for her and still not seeing her. "Damn it" He said as he attempted to call her phone number again for 23rd time. "The number you have dialed is no longer available please hang up and try again." the phone immediately went to voicemail making him frustrated at her and himself. Because She found him in a compromising position with another woman, then not only that she didn't let him explain it either. "wait if she's not here she must've headed back to. Oh no." He said running to the elevator to head his mother's house, where she was most likely headed to if she wasn't already there.
He drove panicking about how to address this whole thing if she already told his mom about everything. As he approached the house he parked in the driveway and ran into the house and heard nothing. "Mom? Dad? Sis?!" he screams waiting for an answer only to get dead silence I'm return. "Damn it." he grunted looking on both floors only to hear crying behind one of the doors. "It's gonna be okay Akira he probably has a reason for doing what he did and it probably wasn't what you think he was doing." He heard Akira's friend Norah tell her. "I-I told him that I liked him and he goes and makes me hate him." Akira cried out. "Oh babes don't say that you don't mean that." Norah spoke only for there to be shuffling around to be heard.
"I'm going to end this engagement now I don't want to be married to someone who can't keep it in his pants." Akira said mad. " It's men like him. who make you really think if marriage is really an option." Akira threw something at the wall the landed with a slight thud. "You know what? No I am going to give him a piece of my mind and tell him how I don't want this or him anymore." She said as she got up and fixed her face. " I'm going to tell him how I was fine without him and how I don't need him for any reason."
Akira walked out of the bathroom and changed into a stretchy dress along with a light jacket and some flip flops. " Okay here we go." Akira left her room only to see the man she was just going to see. "Akira, can I explain everything please?" Darian looked at her feeling things he normally doesn't feel for anyone who isn't his family. He felt remorseful and it shocked him. "What is there to explain Mr. Stone-michaels? the fact that I told you how I felt about you or the fact you still want to be a bachelor after thread me to gain full custody of my child?" she gave him a death glare.
"Mae it wasn't what you think happened." he said truthfully. "She came up on me and I grabbed her and told her not to do it again or else I'd do horrible things for her future." Darian said looking at her waiting for her to say something. Yet Akira just stood there silent as ever looking at him hoping to see some fakeness in him but finding none. "I don't ever want to find you in that position with another woman ever again because I will leave you if you do that ever again." he breathed out a sigh of relief as he realizes that she has given him a chance. "I was wanting to know something about today from you, " Darian said making Akira look at her in confusion." Why were you coming to see me in the first place?" he said making her blush slightly. "To get confirmation about something." She said trying to hide her face from him. "About what? tell me." She could hear the smirk in his tone. "I needed to know if you like me since you were the one who kissed me." Akira said very lowly that no one could hear. "Well this has been fun I'm going to head back to my store now Akira." Norah spoke heading out feeling like she should before tension rose.
"Try this nonsense again with my girl and I promise you that I will not hesitate to castrate you in your sleep." she said to Darian as she left. "You got some real good people who care about you." he said with a chuckle. "You didn't answer my question Darian." she said trying to his response. "I couldn't hear you since you were speaking so low. So please remind me what was your question?" he said making her flustered and her face tint a shade of pink. "why'd you kiss me if you don't like me?" she said it closing her eyes waiting for something to happen.
Darian looked at her confused. " I never said that I didn't like you Akira Mae, " he started talking, " I'm not sure if what I feel with you is but I know it's something that I haven't felt in a long time." Akira opened her eyes in shock. "And the reason I kissed you is because you are mine." He said kissing her lightly. " There is no man who can make you feel how you feel with me. You and I both know that it's true." He kissed her again before standing up and smirking at her. "Whatever." she says going to change. "You can go now." Darian gave a nod heading out of the room.
She hated how he was right because she wanted to let herself like anyone except the monster that put her in this situation. She wanted to have a way of life that didn't need her depending on him to provide. She wanted to be her own person. Without him.
