WHO ARE YOU?

Djane convinced Lauren to come live with her at her house after that one night in the club, she was pretty worried that the person who she threw off that night would come back and hurt her or the person who was watching would do something evil, so she thought the best idea was for her to keep an eye on Lauren by having her in her side every day. she accompanies her to work, to the gym, at her favorite shop to get coffee sometimes and never let her out of sight. Lauren was actually enjoying that, there's nothing more comfortable or more romantic for her than having the one she loves with her. sharing moments even if it's the meaningless one. the only thing she wants more is to spend more time with Djane and maybe one day become her girlfriend and Djane felt the same way.

Elise

Djane is smiling more, she's glowing each day I see her, and I know all that is because of Lauren. me and Marine was right she's the right one for our big sister I'm glad they have each other now. I have a feeling that love will be even stronger than the one she had for Sarah.

Elise standing in her room balcony looking down at Djane and Lauren sitting on the bench near the garden of roses behind the house laughing at each other and talking. suddenly someone knock on her door.

''it's open'' says Elise still looking down and smiling at her big sister happiness

''Hey how are you doing? I just came here to check up on you since you weren't at the library this evening.''

''Oh, I'm good actually. Marine it's wonderful even I was here all day looking at those love birds in the garden''

she says and make Marine pretty curious that she ran to the balcony to see what's happening down in the garden

''Omg they are so cute'' she says after seeing Djane and Lauren playing ''you should have called me Elise this is so beautiful I need to take a picture of that.''

she puts out her phone and take a picture ''click'' the sound of the phone when the picture was captured

''I got it'' she yelled happy and excited while Elise looks at the phone to see the picture, Djane look up at them at the garden and give them a knowing look Marine squats down laughing and surprised about getting caught and pull Elise down who didn't see what just happened.

''what? what? what just happened?'' she asked trying to figure out

''Djane saw us I'm pretty sure she knows I took a picture she heard the sound and that look tells me she knows''

she's laughing hard Elise realized it she stared to laugh too hand on her mouth trying let her voice gets too loud.

'' I don't care you need to send me that picture right now I need to have it too.''

she says to Marine still laughing

''Be quiet Elise she's going to heard you idiot.''

she puts her hand on her mouth they are still squatting down behind the bar of the balcony.

'' I swear to God in times like that I hate the fact that she's a vampire because I can't do anything secretly.''

these girls sometimes really forgot I am a vampire just like I heard things from far away either I like it or not. that click sound was definitely a picture. here I am with Lauren in my favorite garden she have a white dress on and her hair flying back because of the wind these weeks were pretty amusing we spend them together and everywhere I'm starting to know her better and her favorite places I'm learning what she likes the most and dislike I know she will leave as soon as a take care and found out who Is trying to hurt her, but I actually don't mind that my detective taking his time with this case after all she's with me in my house people must be out of their mind to think they could her hurt here under my roof and my protection.

she seats on the bench looking at Lauren smelling the roses and talking while Lauren is coming near Djane she fell. Djane run to her and pick her up sits her down the bench to look at the cut but there was blood when she sees and smell the blood, she swallows her saliva and lick her lip trying to control her thirst. she turns her head to the opposite direction.

''It's okay I'm fine Is just a little cut nothing much.'' says Lauren slide her finger on her knee to wipe the blood while Djane kept her head at the opposite direction because her eyes are already turning red.

''You should go see Elise, she's better than me at this she will put a bandage on it for you hurry.'' says Djane trying to keep her calm

''Are you alright Djane you're acting like you're the one who's cut.'' laughing Lauren and trying to get Djane to turn her face

''Yeah, I'm fine go on now Lauren before it gets infected.''

''No, it's not that bad no need to make such a fuss about it, come one you're acting like you're afraid of blood, hey look at me is just blood nothing more.''

trying to get Djane's attention she holds Djane's face with the hand she wipes the blood with by mistake and turn her head towards her. unfortunately, the blood gets on Djane's face and a little bit on her mouth she licks her lips and taste it her eyes become redder while Lauren turns her face towards her. she got shocked and scared she flinched hard when she sees her eyes Djane realize what happened she closed her eyes rapidly stand up and turn away. Lauren still stunned she stood up and started to walk slowly to her.

''Don't come near me Lauren.'' yelled Djane out of control but then she takes a deep breath and more calmly say

'' Please don't come near me, just go take care of your cut okay I'm begging you, Lauren go.''

Lauren didn't know what was happening, but she knew she saw something weird but clueless she stood up walking towards Djane slowly when she got near enough, she put her hand on her shoulder and wanted to turn her around.

''Lauren '' yell Elise calm and smiling she runs towards her hold her hand and started to walk and guide her to the house to distract her.

'' oh, love you are hurt aren't you come I'll take care of that for you.'' she's saying still walking fast away from Djane

'' No, it's fine It's no biggie you don't have to...'' she is saying while getting away from Djane put still looking back to figure out what happened

''No, I insist honey let's take care of that for you okay.'' she manages to enter the house with Lauren to get to her little clinic Marine going out smile at them entering the house to get to Djane

'' Are you okay Djane.''

'' Yes, I'm fine I just almost lose control.'' she says head done trying to cool off.

'' OH Yeah ?no shit I saw that. what I mean is this is not like you at all I know you crave her and everything, but you don't lose control that easily what the hell happened .'' says Marine trying to think how did that happen.

''Actually, I think I might know why, I didn't feed in weeks because I was with Lauren all the time I... I forgot.'' she stuttered.

''Djane what? How could you forget something so important? what the fuck. are you trying to make her your dinner or something. did she saw your eyes?'' yell Marine unable to believe what she just heard.

''I know, I know no needs to cause a scene Marine, she might she looked pretty scared she flinched so hard it's probably because she saw it. I don't know I'm not sure if she saw it but she might have.'' she started to panic.

''I'm not causing a scene I just can't believe you almost hurt the woman you love, and we both know if you did it would have hurt you more than me. now let's cam down okay no need to panic we need get you inside and drink something to fill that thirst.''

They got inside and went to the secret basement where they keep all their blood supplies. Djane get herself some blood and felt much better. Elise took care of Lauren's little cut and gave her some water at the clinic.

Lauren

''I told you Elise I'm fine it's nothing ''

''Maybe but you better be cautious then sorry.'' smiling Elise

''Thank you anyway.''

''My pleasure. um Lauren?''

''Yes ''

'' Did you see anything unpleasant?'' Asked Elise head down.

''Unpleasant? like what? '' she responds acting stupid.

''Oh nothing. if so, I just wanted to tell you there's nothing to be afraid she does care for you, and it might be scary but deep down I think you know that doesn't define who she is.'' then Elise left

Lauren sits in the clinic thinking about what happened outside worried.

I'm not scared of Djane, I love her, but I know what I saw, and I know one thing it wasn't human. her eyes turn red and dark it was evil but how? was it the blood? if so how come? I admit she turns her head away from me maybe trying to hide and when I turn her head with my hand that was when I saw her eyes, I need to know what the hell happened outside. And I'm sure if I stay here i won't find the answers I need was that the secret she was so afraid of me knowing when she said if I knew who she really was? who are you Djane? or what are you?

She gets out of the clinic get upstairs to her room, take her coat and leave the house. Djane and her sisters starts talking about what happened Elise said Lauren said she didn't see anything, but she thinks she might have anyway. Djane thinks she might have to talk about it with Lauren, but she was not ready to tell her the truth yet. Like she's allergic to blood or something. her sisters think it might not work but they had to do something. when she gets upstairs at Lauren's room she knocks.

''Lauren?'' Keep knocking '' Lauren can we talk please? '' kept knocking '' please open up I just want to talk.'' but still no answer '' it's fine we will talk whenever you're ready okay.''

She thought Lauren was scared and terrified that's why she didn't want to talk with her, so she left disappointed and sad not knowing what awaiting next. she head straight to the living room and server herself a shot of whiskey on the table. she stood there already over thinking about millions of worst case scenarios. Marine run to the living room out of breath look at her sister worried.

''What's wrong Marine'' asks Djane standing on the wall with the glass of whiskey.

'' It's Lauren'' she said to Djane shaking her head disappointed she look up to her sister surprise at first, clench the glass of whiskey on her hand frustrated then gave a knowing look like she's not going to like what she's about to hear. Elise run to the living room when she also realize it, they both didn't know how to tell her without being hurt the silence was loud, but Elise decided to break the ice and said it.

''Lauren left, she left with your car.'' both sister looked at each other sad after giving this hurtful news.

sad and angry Djane broke the glass with her bare hand when she heard that news her eyes watering, she closes her eyes and bend her head up backwards heartbroken.
