Money Can't Buy Happiness

Over at Nannu, Sam was also immersed in his work. As a designer, once an idea came to his mind, he couldn't stop or he'd lose the flow. So, even though he knew it was home time and his colleagues were beginning to leave, he refused to move from his desk until he sketched out all the ideas in his head.

Just as he finished one of his sketches and leaned back to take a breath, a plastic takeaway cup suddenly appeared in front of him. He glanced up in surprise and saw a smiling face looking down on him.

"Veronica!" he exclaimed in surprise. Veronica was one of the other fashion designers at Nannu. Although they had never worked directly together, he remembered her name because she was one of the only foreigners working in the company. Veronica joined the company as an intern around the same time as him, and when she first joined, she didn't know a single word of Cantonese. Fortunately, Sam had good English and he had helped her out a lot.
