My Family's Wanwan Is A Top Star Director

~Excerpt~ She looked at him. Her gaze was resolute. "Let's date, Tinghao." The office was quiet. A cold breeze blew into the room and it sent shivers down Fu Tinghao's spine. He reached out to button the top buttons back. He couldn't believe his ears. For a moment, he feared he had heard the wrong thing. He lifted his head and he looked at her. She was looking at him quietly as though waiting for him to speak. He couldn't help but shake his head and laughed dryly. But, there was a lack of humor in his voice.  "Tang Wan, it's not April Fools Day. Can you stop pulling my leg?"[1] Tang Wan was speechless. She looked carefully at him and realized that he didn't seem to be kidding. He really didn't believe her words.  She pursed her lips and repeated, "I mean it. Let's date." Then, she stressed, as though to make her words more believable. "I love you." Fu Tinghao was stunned. He stared at her in a daze. It was then he felt the urgency in her words. He could sense the sincerity in those words. She said she loved him. He was unable to react, trying to comprehend her words. He felt a surge of happiness invade him. It was as though he was in the clouds. But on the surface, he was calm and his head was lowered. After some time, he looked up at her and gave a small chuckle, "Tang Wan, why do you like playing around like this? Just yesterday, you said you couldn't love anyone. I already accepted my fate that my love will forever be one-sided. But now, you are telling me you love me?" Tang Wan lowered her head as embarrassment sunk in. He was right. She had been unresponsive to his advances for a long time. And suddenly, she confessed to him. Anyone would feel doubtful. She opened her mouth to talk but he didn't let her… He cut in. "I don't love you anymore though." Tang Wan looked at him. He was staring at her seriously. His eyes were fixated on her and he seemed to be deadly serious. Of course, she had no idea he was only playing hard to get. Her heart skipped a beat. As his words sunk in, she felt a surge of panic. Her chest tightened as though there was a hand squeezing it. It was extremely uncomfortable.  Was this how he felt all this while? No, she could not accept this outcome. "Fu Tinghao…" He looked at her. "I can't accept your love." Then, he picked up the light switch remote and clicked on it. The light immediately came on and the surroundings brightened.  He then turned to the documents on the desk. He picked the blue fountain pen in the pen holder and stated, "I got to work." He lowered his head and began to write seriously. He didn't look at her anymore. Tang Wan was unable to move as she looked at that handsome face. She felt a strong sense of panic she had not felt in a long time. She didn't know what suddenly got into her. But, she rushed towards him and grabbed him by the collar. Then, she grabbed his chin and lifted his face up to look at her. She could vaguely see traces of emotions in his eyes too. But, she couldn't dwell on that anymore. She lowered her lips to his. She kissed him.  *** Tang Wan, the beautiful daughter of the Tang family suddenly went insane after her parents deaths. It's Alright To Cry

He shook his head. "No, I was not scared."

Tang Wan smiled, feeling slightly relieved. She would feel bad if she had scared him. But she thought of something and her mood instantly went down again.

She asked, looking up at him with somber eyes. "Do you think I'll ever get well again? Look at what happened that day? What if I hurt someone?"

Her head was lowered and her eyelids drooped, revealing her curly eyelashes. Her beautiful face was in his view but from her furrowed brows and low mood, he could see that she was very sad.

He smiled comfortingly. "You'll be fine." His hands fell beside her hand that she placed on the swing beside her. He glanced at it for a moment but he didn't take it. He looked at her. "You're brave, Tang Wan. There are countless manic patients all over the world. Some take medications. Some resign themselves to fate. Some take drugs to suppress the symptoms and don't dare to get themselves treated."

He paused for a moment, letting the words sink in before saying, "You're brave enough. You didn't resign yourself to fate like others. You could have refused my help when I gave you the chance to. But you didn't. You grabbed your chance and let yourself be treated. That's already halfway into recovering. You already took the first step so everything else won't be hard."

Tang Wan sniffed. She wasn't saying anything but she felt warm all over. She nodded and looked at him and said, her voice riddled with certainty. "I'll be fine."

Fu Tinghao nodded. He pursed his lips and said looking at her seriously. "Actually, your situation is not that bad. It wasn't meant to be like this assuming you were not immediately taken to a mental hospital. All you needed was therapy and everything would have been fine. You know, assumptions affect people a lot. Your situation worsened because of the environment you were in. You understand what I mean?"

Tang Wan nodded. She understood that she would have been fine by now. If Feng Jun hadn't thrown her in a mental hospital to rot.

She bit her lips and looked at him. "Do you think I'm exaggerative? Most people won't be like this just because their parents died. It's because I'm useless."

Hearing her words, Fu Tinghao immediately furrowed her brows and berated her. "Don't ever say that again. You're not useless. The moment you start to have such misconceptions about yourself, you won't know when you'll truly become useless."

Tang Wan nodded in understanding after being scolded and promised not to think that way again.

Fu Tinghao sighed when he saw how obedient she was and couldn't bear to blame her anymore. He shifted in his seat, facing her and told her gently. "In this life, everyone has their own priorities and what they adore. What you consider precious might not be even worth mentioning to others. What makes you happy might not make me happy and vice versa. It's because you love your parents a lot that you feel so burdened by their death.

So, don't feel useless because of that. If you complain about your ability to feel sorrow because you lost something precious to you, what should people that suffer from Alexithymia do? They can't even express or identity any emotions. So, be grateful of what you have.

Just because you're at your lowest end right now, doesn't mean you'll never stand up again. You just need the right determination and will to survive."

Tang Wan couldn't say a word. She reflected on herself and was gratified. She couldn't fathom how she was going to survive if she couldn't even express any emotions. Would she be an ice block then?

"You're human. You have the right to feel sad if you're hurt. So, it's alright to cry. It's alright to feel sad." Fu Tinghao continued.

The moment he said that, Tang Wan stiffened. She clenched her fists and her eyes watered. She couldn't express how she felt but she felt lighter than ever. It was as though a heavy weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

She was very close with her parents when they were still alive. They were living and treated her very well. She was the only child so she was very pampered. Even when she had already married, she was still her parents' precious child.

They didn't want to stress at all and always let her have her way. So even though she was the only heir to the business, she wasn't trained to take over. It was also why Feng Jun and her uncle had managed to infiltrate the company and take it for themselves.

She was very sad. At the thought, her parents were really gone and she wouldn't see them again, she felt really stuffed.

They sat in silence for sometime before she suddenly looked at him and said, "I want to visit my parents graves."

"Huh?"

Tang Wan repeated, "I haven't been there since the burial."

Fu Tinghao looked at her for one moment before saying, "Okay. I'll take you there tomorrow."

"Thank you."

"Hm. It's my pleasure."

The duo sat like that for sometime before he stood up and dusted his clothes. He looked at her and said, "We should go in."

"Yes." She also stood up.

"I'll accompany you to your ward."

"Okay. Thank you."

Then, they walked side by side and left the garden.

Everyone has the right to feel sad regardless of the reason whether big or small. You feel uncomfortable as though your heart is being squeezed?

Cry out. Don't keep it in.

Remember that it's alright for you to cry.
