CHAPTER81:SLEEPLESS NIGHT

After arriving from the their disrupted dinner Paul and Ivana sat outside by the swimming pool gazing into nothing. No one talked to the other, Ivana's gaze was in sky as she looked at the galaxy of stars and moon. 

The moon was shining brightly, when it was around midnight Paul suggested that they go inside.He didn't want her to catch a cold. They went inside and just like the poolside they slept without kissing each other goodnight

Ivana was feeling bad by doing that,she wanted to talk to him. But she didn't know where to start. 'He is such a mamas boy, now he is not kidding me goodnight,?' she thought as she turned on her side to sleep. 'She us such a spoilt brat, l wouldn't have continued with dinner and hear those silly remarks about my mother. Now that l forced her to come home with me, she is angry' Paul turned to other side and laid on the bed. Now tgey laid on the bed with their backs against each other.

Although Paul wanted to talk to his mother before going to bed. But his mother was no where to be seen.

After thirty minutes Mrs Wechuli arrived, she sighed when she saw no light in the sitting room. She tiptoed to her bedroom. She knows her son to well, she knew that he will ask her what happened. He will demand an explanation why she is a CEO now and not Ivana. He will demand to see all those legal papers that allowed her to be the CEO. 

He will want to talk to the lawyer who was present during that transfer of shares. He will want to talk to witness, and here he is one of the witness this will lead to disagreement between them. Something she fears more than death, she can't lose her son neither will she allow him to find out. Also that was one of the reason she come home late.

Atleast in the morning she will have harboured enough lies to tell him.

Mike didn't get to sleep that night he turned and turned in bed. He was being disturbed by John's promise. He didn't believe that John is Ivana's brother. John is always doing meagre salary work, sometimes he will be involved in the small robbery in town yet he had a rich father. A Wealth family,he didn't want to believe it but there was similarity in their appearances.

John looked exactly like Ivana's father. Although he only saw him countable time when in hospital. That was the first time he saw him with the naked eyes. All the time he used to see him in interviews on television and newspaper.

'How comes he is only coming out when his dad is already dead. He was not there during memorial and burial ceremony. He didn't come to claim the inheritance like other children from the wealth family who normally waits for the the will to come outside and demand for the share. My friend is different, he doesn't even care about the inheritance. What he wants was Ivana's security.

I wish he had told me the full story behind these promise. I hope l will be able to keep the promise. How is it possible when she the wife to my best friend also my friend. Making it worse she is a cousin to my crush....

Ivana had enough on her plate now, with all that has happened in the company. She won't bare it if l add her another crucial information. Will she even belief it ? Or even belief me? The credibility of the source of information?...l better keep the promise...

That night everyperson that was close to Ivana didn't sleep. They were having sleepless night with numerous thoughts.

Mr Mukhongo laid on his back on the bed as he looked at the ceiling board. 'l am sorry brother that this is happening, that lam doing these to your daughter.But you left me with no choice. I hope my wife and daughter will not find out about what l did. I know they will despise me forever. I don't know where l will hide my face if that happens.'

Then the scene in the washroom popped up in the mind. He turned his body to sleep on the left side as he smiled. 'l don't know why you keep denying it, l know you love me, l saw it in your eyes. Next time l won't allow you to manipulate me with your words'

Mrs Mukhongo, Elizabeth turned in bed and now she was facing her husband's back. She wanted to touch him and cuddle up but restrained. Alot have happened since that day. The day he come home drunk and she found the condoms in his trouser pocket. She missed him, she missed their love life.

'What happened to our love? I wish l can turn back time and go back to the way we used to be. We couldn't go to bed when we are angry at each other. I know you are hiding something from me, l know you are cheating on me, you are having an affair. I don't have evidence that's why l can't confront you. But soon l will find out,and when l find out l will leave you, l wi divorce you do that you can marry her.' She wiped out her tears and closed her eyes.

Mish removed earphones,she have been listening to music to aid her catch sleep faster. She sat on the bed and held her head in her palm. She didn't know what to do, Since the sleeps to be far away.

'l don't know how you are feeling now, but as mum said you are a strong woman Ivana. I hope you are okay despite all off this.l don't know what l would have done if l was in your shoes. Now that you are a married woman that prevents you visiting us time to time. I can't pay you a visit everyday, l don't want your marriage to be jeopardized.'
