CHAPTER124: APOLOGIZED
"I have missed hugging you Ivana"Mish said as she continued hugging her tight.She didn't know that the hug was suffocating her, and pressing her bell so hard made her uncomfortable.
The hug became unbearable for Ivana as she tried pushing her off. "Mish don't suffocate me with your hug, we can do this other time."
She let her off then apologized "I am sorry l guess l was carried away with emotions and I was showing my appreciation by hugging you. I am so happy that you have forgiven me" She said.
Mish wanted to add on that she knew that she is pregnant but restrained because she was not ready to see her upset. Just after she have been forgiven, so Mish looked at her then smiled.
"Yeah, I know right I have missed you too" Ivana said as she smiled. How have you been, how is your home since the day you left the haunted mansion" she joked.
"Don't use those words against me Ivana, will you?. I haven't even spent there much time. Actually l arrived yesterday from the upcountry, I have spent only three days in that house I guess" she said.
"How is upcountry, I know you are missing the place already and your Aunt Lydia." Ivana said as she sipped the juice.
"Yeah, l miss the place but not my Aunt, can you imagine she had quarrelled me because I didn't help her do the house chores? Who does that in this 21st century."
"Your Aunt Lydia does that"
Hahaaaaa, they burst out into a laughter. Something that both of them had missed creatly. Since Ivana was not comfortable with Mish being in her room she suggested that they go to the seating room. They found the table already prepared for breakfast, just in the moment when Milka was about to call them down for breakfast.
"Woow, l miss having breakfast in this mansion Ivana. It feels home, you know a home is not just a house but somewhere that you feel warmth" Mish commented.
She said that with an expectation that Ivana will tell her toove in back to the mansion. But Ivana was not ready for that, once bitten twice shy. Mish earned a smile from both Milka and Ivana.
They ate breakfast in silence since they had nothing to do about. Milka was feeling uneasiness with Mish's presences perhaps this was the first time Mish and Milka we're eating from one table.
When Mish's family was living in the mansion, the maids used to stand aside while they watch them eat. After the family is done with their, breakfast, lunch or dinner that's when the maids are allowed to eat. So Mish was surprised to see Milka seated on the same table with them, maybe thats the reason she was looking at her in a disgusting way.
"Why are you drinking milk only?" Mish asked Ivana.
Milka glazed at Ivana then smiled when the found her looking at her too. " I just want to keep fit Mish nothing more" she said and ignored Milka's stares.
"Really sister, you are hiding the truth from me now. You think l don't know?Ivana tell me the truth doll, nothing but the truth" Mish joked.
Milka and Ivana had that 'what' look on their faces.
"When did you become a judge Mish or should I say a lawyer I think now you will help me in the case concerning Paul Wechuli and I" she said nonchalantly.
The had finished taking breakfast, do Milka didn't want to be the part of conversation since she already knows what happened. So she excused herself by carrying the flask, cups and the dish back to the kitchen.
She didn't want to be painted disrespectful or perhaps be embarassed by Mish, since she is not the part of the family. She made herself busy in the kitchen.
"Talking of Paul,what happened?you know yesterday after arriving home from the upcountry l went to visit Mike. I found Paul there watching the movie, so when I asked him about your well being he said that l should come and visit you in person.So I thought yesterday night that l should pay you a visit and ask for your forgiveness. But in the morning l saw you and Paul treading about the press conference he had yesterday." Mish narrated everything to her.
"Did you watch the press conference yesterday?" Ivana enquired.
"No, I had no idea that it was going on, I only found out this morning Ivana. What really happened between you and Paul?" She asked.
"You missed alot, can you imagine Paul denied me publicly that l am his ex-girlfriend and I licked the information to the media"
"What?he did that so you want to sue him or what?"
"I will be divorcing him soon Mish" Ivana said without fear.
"No,Ivana can't you make thing work, you can forgive him maybe he said that way out of anger. Or is their something l am not deciphering?"
"Mish, Paul have cheated on me. The first time he cheated on me was when my dad was in the hospital in a critical condition. Paul lied to me that he was going for a business conference in Eldoret only to end up spending good times with Slyvia"
"Who is slyvia?" She asked.
"My bad, slyvia is Paul's ex-girlfriend, and just a week ago, when I came back for cleasing ceremony of the mansion after you have moved from here. So when I returned back, I found them in bed, my matrimonial bed naked" she said as she wiped away the tears that were flowing down her cheeks.
"I am so sorry that l caused you all these, Ivana. If I had known that these will happen, I would have stayed here" Mish apologized again.
"No, no Mish it was not your mistake and it will never be. Once a cheat is always a cheat so you should not blame yourself. Infact l am fine because my dad made me marry someone I had no idea about."
