CHAPTER 98: RECOGNITION.

*Fast Forward*

Everything was arranged according to the plan. The family agreed that after the memorial mass. Mrs Elizabeth's body will be cremated. Mr Mukhongo didn't want to argue with her daughter she granted her the wish she was requesting.

The car processions started from the Live care mortuary driving to All church cathedral for a memorial Mass. The photographer were filming everything from the motorbike followed by,the first car was carrying Mrs Mukhongo's friends, the second to fourth car was full of Mr Mukhongo's business partners and friend.

The fifty car was full of Misha's Friends, Mike being one of them.Although he wanted to be in the same car with Mish, the family spokesperson refused saying that he was not family.

Mish's car followed, inside was her father, herself and Mrs Wechuli all dressed in white. A Mercedes Benz followed with its top opened, A woman who was looking exactly like Elizabeth was carrying the deceased picture. If Mrs Mukhongo was a life some people could mistake them of being twins or either the same person. But she was her young sister called Lydia. The last car was supposed to be the hearse carrying her body.

Behind the hearse was a white Maybach following closely at a distance. A couple was spotted inside, they were dressed elegantly. Someone could think that they were going for the party rather than memorial mass.

The man was dressed in an immaculate dark grey suit with a white shirt and black bow tie. He was more than a model according to his appearance. The beared were slightly shaved reveling a perfect mustache similar to a Greek god. He was so appealing as the women started drooling on him when he was driving slowly following the hearse.

On his left side, a woman was spotted, relaxed in as she was leaned back on the seat. She was decked out in designer wear from Prada collection. She had a Gucci bag placed on her laps as she was busy with her phone. She was the perfect match for him.

They were the last people to reach in the church. The congregation was already seated as the sung the solemn songs. The casket was already taken inside.

When they stepped inside the church, most people who saw them enter had a resolute gaze on them. They walked slowly with their hands intertwined, capturing the attention of the camera man. He turned his camera and focused on them capturing them in the video that he was paid to do.

Since it was a memorial mass, it didn't take long before it ended. The family spokesperson who was Mish's maternal uncle stepped on the alter and started the speech program.

The first person to give his speech was Elizabeth's sister. She walked to the alter then said," I loved Elizabeth, she was my eldest sister. I will dearly miss her, Rest well my sister"

Elizabeth's closest friends represented by Margarita," She was my best friend since childhood time. She was someone l was comfortable in confiding in. Dance with angel friend"

Then the family spokesperson said, "the following people are the closest family members of the deceased. But before l call them upon, let me recognise the presence of Mrs Ivana Bombwe-Wechuli and her husband Mr Wechuli Paul. They said that they are not comfortable giving their speeches because of their reason well known with them thats why l just recognised their presence."

The congregation clapped for them when they stood to wave at them. Mish had an experated look on her face when she heard the names being mentioned. She fidgeted in her seat as she looked at her father demanding an explanation. She had told her father to instract the security not to allow them into the memorial mass.

Like someone who had already read her mind, Mr Mukhongo looked at his daughter then murmured loud enough for her to hear, "Not now Mish please, you need to behave."

'You better leave before l face you, l will accuse you of killing my mother. I can't wait to embaras you in public, how dare you' she thought. Just in the moment when the spokesperson called the family to the alter to give there speech.

She sighed then took in deep breathe before reaching out for the hand of her dad to hold which was stretched out for her.

Mr Mukhongo took the microphone then said, "I will allow my daughter to talk first." He handed the microphone to her.

"Hello, my name is Mish Mukhongo", she paused after her eyes accidentally landed to Ivana who was looking at her. She averted her gaze then decided to search for him in the cogregation. Fortunately their eyes met, she relaxed the moment she licked eyes with Mike. Then continued, "My mother was an extraordinary woman, l am so lucky to be her daughter. I found everything l needed in her, First she was a wife to him," she chuckled to ease the tension that was starting to built inside her, she was a mother, a friend and a big sister. Then their is this character that an African mother always has. She was also my enemy." The congregation busted out in laughter.

"Yes she was my enemy, whenever l went astray she had to Cain thoroughly, sometimes she made me think that she was not my mother." The congregation laughed as the clapped for her.

"But whenever l looked at our family photo, l was the mini - her that made me not to doubt her. I will dearly miss her especially her beatings. Rest well Mummy l love you"

The cogregation clapped as she walked towards her seat. Even her dad was smiling, that was the first time Mr Mukhongo was smiling since the day his wife died.

"My daughter has talked everything l was supposed to say. I married Elizabeth when l was a broke man, but she made me accumulate wealth because she was a visionary woman. I found both wife and a friend in her.
