CHAPTER 9: COUP DE'ETAT.

Days turned into weeks but Mr Bombwe never improved. Luhyahood dream company was now being headed by his brother,Mr Mukhongo. Although he was not experienced in leadership he had no choice but to step in, he wished his brother  could recover soon before things run out of patient.

Ivana wished that her mother was a life so that she can be here with her. She never saw her, but everytime she looked at her photos in the house she wished she lived to see her grow into a big girl. Only God had a reason why she died while giving birth to a life- to her. Even if she never saw her or get to spent time with her,she vividly knows that no one will ever replace her in her fragile heart. She never experienced motherly love and she doesn't know that she will ever experience it. Maybe she will let others experience that kind of love through her. Maybe one day she will make a good mum. Just maybe......

Her mother was a special person. All those years her dad lived like a Bachelor. He never married or flirt with women. He buried his feelings with her. 

' if only mother was here,maybe dad could have woken up from his 'deep slumber'. Maybe their memories could have helped him come back. I wish l saw you as a couple together mum. Why did you leave me that early?.But mum don't take dad away from me, l know we have a strain relationship but l love him. He is my dad,' Ivana thought. Her mind was in a whirl of thoughts. She even didn't realize that someone has entered in the room until he spoke.

"Hunny, don't cry dad will just wake up," he said.

She stood up and hugged him tight,at that time she just needed a shoulder to lean on. She didn't care whose shoulder will be but she needed someone to comfort her. Atleast now she had a person somehow familiar to her.

Paul was surprised by her action but he didn't mind her hug. He hugged her tightly not to let go. He knew that she was emotional at that time. He needed to comfort her but his body betrayed him when she pulled away from him that's when he realised that his big little member has bulged.

He got embarrassed as he said, "Eeeh I am sorry l didn't mean to," he said with his head bowed from embarrasment.

"It's...it's ..just that l ..have feelings for...you" he struggled talking because of embarrasment. " I will take my leave...

"Don't leave,l understand Paul beside am your wife".she mumbled the last word. "No need to leave have a seat ,beside I am lonely and l dont know when he will ever wake up."

"Don't worry l know these is the best hospital in these county and l know the doctors will do anything they can for his survival. Just keep on praying and talking to him he will soon wake up, don't give up just yet"

"Before l forget,l brought you something," he said as he handed her. "You like them?" 

"What?" She asked as she unrapped them. She exclaimed when she saw what it was,"Black cudbury chocolate? these is very expensive Paul you don't have to do these okay. Don't waste your money." She told him.

'Expensive just like you hunny, l will buy you anything no matter how much it costs as long as you like it Ivana' he wanted to tell her that but he was left drooling over her face.

He cleared his throat when she got him drooling. Ivana liked chocolate but these was an expensive one. She never bought it herself. She knows that Paul is trying to woo her to like him and fall in love. She just didn't know what Paul could do next. She just enjoyed being  pampered. Who wouldn't love as a girl..

Silence took over in the room,until he spoke again. "Hunny l need to leave so that l can bring you supper before it's late you know." 

"Don't worry Mike has promised to bring me supper tonight when he drop by" he spouted out without any care.

" Mike? He pinched the brows between his eyes.

"Yes,the other day he brought me breakfast and cooked *nduma* it was so sweet so l begged him to bring me again when he is free," she replied.

Paul heartbeat raced he didn't know why but he was fealing jealousy. He was Jelousy he wanted to strangle mike. How could he do these to him. Cook his wife breakfast when he was away. 'I told him to check after her for me not to cook her breakfast. What didn't he understand there? It was simple and clear,'Paul cursed himself inwardly.

All these time Ivana was looking at his change of expressions in his face. "Are you Jelous?" She asked.

Before he could answer Mike entered and Ivana stood to welcome him.

" Welcome l thought you will not come?," She said jokingly.

"No! A promise is a promise Ivana it must be fulfilled, how are you doing," he answered.

With these flow of conversation Paul could not keep up with them he was so furious with Mike. No with himself for telling him to check after her. 

He cleared his throat to draw their attention.

"Oh mehn you are here how was the graduation?" Mike asked. Oh shit! He said something he didn't have to.

"I mean the meeting l don't know you are here, It's good to see you,"Mike said 

"I am fine mehn but l was about to leave. Let me give you a ride..."

"Paul it's still early we can spend time together " Ivana butted in.

"No hunny,you need to rest and beside Dad needs a quite place."He chuckled and said,These is a hospital remember not a conference room. So please if you don't mind l am leaving with this MAN." He stressed the word man clean showing that he is Jelousy.

"Okay then," she nodded and moved to close the door behind them. Only on that instant she felt that Paul presence was now important she felt lonely again.

Paul dragged Mike behind him like a Father pulling his child who has committed an offence. When they arrived outside that's when Paul talked. All this time Mike knew that he was Jelous. From that day he learned that Paul was married he knew that Paul had feelings towards that girl . He had read his emotions and besides he is his best friend he knew him very best.

"Why did you drag me like a thief mehn?" Mike complained.

"Who gave you the authority to cook my wife breakfast?, are you trying to commit coup' de'etat'. Back off mehn she is MY WIFE,"he stressed the last two words.

"Woo! woo! Paul, you are the one who told me to check after her. Did you expect me to leave her hungry. I know he is your wife no need to remind me, hah haaa are you Jelous?,"Mike asked him.

That time he was look upwards towards something Mike followed his gaze and there. Ivana was looking at them in the window. When she saw both of them look at her,she closed the window.

"I expected you to be Jelous l know you,let go then drop me back home". Mike draw his attention back to him.

Without any word they entered the car as Paul accelerated it out of the hospital premises.
