CHAPTER 69:ANOTHER CHANCE.
"Yes ask what is it? She asked anxiously.
"Promise me that you will tell me the truth, baby girl, sorry sorry l mean Ivana". Babygirl was what he used to call her when she is asking her something. It seemed he didn't really forget or let everything go.
"Are you HAPPY with the man you married" he stressed the word happy. Don't ask me why l am asking just answer" he pleaded again.
Ivana swallowed hard and then sigh, before she could think on what she should tell him. 'should l tell you that the man is already having an affair with her ex-girlfriend, should l tell you that he left me for a month on my own. The time my dad was on a dead bed the time l needed him the most he was absent. I wish l can tell you all these but no Sam l don't want you to be sympathetic with my situation.'
"Ivana, is something wrong? Why are you spacing out ?if you are not comfortable with answering then it's okay with me.
"No, actually what l mean is yes ...l am trying..... l am happy, don't worry about me" she said followed with experated sighs.
He smacked his left palm against his forehead,then tapped his middle and index finger of the right hand on his knees. He lifted his head and looked at her then.
"Ivana can you allow me to go against the societal expectations? Can you please..?" He got distracted when Ivana stood up and she was leaving when he stood up and grabbed her hand.
"Ivana allow me to love you, let me love you like before, can we rekindle our love Ivana ...please...l know you are not happy with him. Ivana avoided his eye contact as he struggled to turn her head so that she could look at him.
"I am married samuel and l love him, please forget about me and move on with your life. We can't be together" she said.
" How can you say that babygirl, l still live you, how can l move on when my heart still beats for you. Give me a chance to fight for you, for us please."
"There is no us and there will be no us forget it Sam, l am so sorry l got to go" she pulled away her hand and walked away.
She wiped away her tears as she stopped a cab. What she did know was that Samuel had seen her crying.

"Tell the auditors and accountant that l want the information about the bank transactions, the finational statement and all crucial information about loans and fundings that are important to the company in thirty minutes time." that was the first statement he said to his secretary when he entered the bank.
He had the mood swings from the coffee date that he had carried to office and transferred it to his surbodinates.
When the secretary informed the recepective parties. Their was mixed reactions.
"What? this is the problem with having a young boss"
"His he out if his mind, that's a short period of time, it will just be shoddy work.
"Better the previous manager, this one gonna be a pain in the ass".
