CHAPTER 255: EXAM RESULTS.

Paul and Mike did their first examination and they were just waiting on their result. Mike was confident that he was going to pass because he read and prepared fully for that paper. 

Paul was not sure if he was going to pass or not. What he had decided was that if the results comes out he had failed. Then he will have to get back to the country to take over the chairmanship seat in the company. He had told himself that he was not ready to redo that to paper again.

He had made that decision without consulting or telling Mike about it. He didn't want Mike to judge him as a mama's boy. Something else he hasn't told his mother about it.

So the only thing that was going to determine if he continues to study or take over the vacant seat back in their company was the exams that they had written.

According to how prepared he was, it showed that he knows what he was going to score. He had already packed his luggage and he had paid all the salary dues of his maid Chioma.

So that evening he tried calling Ivana to find out how she was doing. In case he fails the exams then he will tell her that he was coming back to the country and hoping that they can start afresh again.

He called the first time and no one picked he called for the second time and s Ivana didn't pick. He sighed as he decided to write her a message. "Hello Ivana how are you doing, I miss you and hope to see you soon if all goes well." 

The message got delivered and he got anxious and nervous as he waited for her reply. He turned his mobile phone upside down so that he doesn't check every time it flashes. Five minutes elapsed and when he checked there was no reply.

"I don't know how you will forgive me if you can't talk to me and listen to what I have to say," Paul murmured to himself.

He thought about calling his mother but he was scared of raising the hopes of her mother about him jetty g back in the country. Aside from Ivana and his mother's contact Paul had no other person that he could use to talk to Ivana.

He didn't have Mish's contact and he didn't want to ask for the contact from Mike. He was very sure that Mike had her number because they do communicate with each other.

Paul still hoped that Ivana Will reply to his text or return his call. He still had hoped so he kept on waiting.

What he didn't know was that after Ivana read his text she deleted it returned the phone where it was and continued with what she was doing.

She didn't want any disturbance because what she couldn't understand was that. She was divorced, yet Paul keeps on calling, texting, and Sometimes sending his other relative to check on her.

Sometimes she is forced to doubt their divorce, she could double-check to ensure that Paul was the one who had signed those papers and the sign that was there is not forged. When she confirmed the divorce papers, she is always convinced that Paul was the one who had signed and went on to the extent of putting there the company's rubber stamp and seal to show that indeed he was the one who had signed them.

The next day, Paul and Mike went to class as a normal routine. They had no idea that the lecture was coming to give them the results of the exams they had written.

After ten minutes of the students settling in the lecture room. Their professor entered carrying the transcript. The students started laughing and the professor couldn't understand why they were laughing.

"What is so funny?" He asked as he adjusted his glasses.

"Professor we are surprised that you are returning.the transcript. Are we still in high school, I thought that in college there is nothing like this!" The class representative said.

The professor chuckled as he said, " Guys this is your transcripts and not mine so I have no business keeping them."

"You should have burned those papers after recording our scores professor. Why do you want us to collapse from shock," one of the students said.

The students continued clamoring among themselves as they laughed. Paul and Mike were the only students that were quiet.

"Let's have one meeting guys, I don't know what you are discussing yet you have failed terribly. I don't understand the predicament that made you score this kind of score. At least two of the students here put a smile on my fave by scoring high marks," the professor said.

The class was very quiet d if you passed from outside no one would have known if the class was going on or the lecture room was empty.

"A lot of you students have failed terribly, you all know the rules of this school. You will have to pay 1$ for you to be able to re-write the paper," the professor said.

Paul turned to Mike as he whispered in his ears, " if I am among the students who had failed. Then I am not going to rewrite the paper again. I will just go home."

"What? Why? Is not that the money they have mentioned is expensive. I know that you can pay that paper for retake without informing your mother so why do you want to go home."

"I have two students hee that made me proud. This guy almost scored everything is none other than Mike Oga and the other person is Paul Wechuli," Professor said with pride.

Mike turned and looked at Mike as he did. said,"  I am so happy that whatever you were planning to do after the results are out to have failed. I knew what you were planning without you telling me," Mike said.

He didn't care to ask him how because the years that they have been together explained everything.
