The driver obliged as he started to drive to the main road though slowly.
"Take me to Milimani police station, she finally said after three minutes.
The taxi driver reversed the car and drove towards the Milimani police station.
As she sat in the taxi at the back seat, she couldn't imagine that she was using a taxi a form of public transport that she had sweared that she will never ever use them no matter what!
"Never say Never," she murmured loud enough for the taxi driver to hear despite the fact that it was not her intention to do that.
"You said something ma'am?" the taxi driver asked politely.
"Don't mind me just focus on driving, that's what I will pay you for not eavesdropping on what I am saying to myself," she said.
They arrived at the Milimani police station and Mrs Wechuli told the taxi driver to keep the meter running she will pay him the time she will waste in waiting for her.
She walked to the O.B desk with courage but deep down she was very scared. She didn't know what will happen when she came face to face with Mr Mukhongo.
"Good day officer, my name is Carol Wechuli, I want to see my long time friend I heard that he have been arrested," she said to the police officer seated at the reporting desk.
"Okay, carry on" he said as he searched for a blank space to record what she was saying.
"I am telling you that I want to see my friend and you are here telling me to carry on? what's your work here now? To sit and be paid for doing nothing?," She hollered at the surprised police officer
"Ma'am this is a public office protocalls must be followed. You know the time....
"Stop talking to me about time, it's a public office so I should do what I want. Do what I say, I want to see my friend," she commanded.
"I am sorry Ma'am but it's already passed visitation time. You can come back tomorrow," the police officer said.
"You are very useless and foolish, do you know who I am? I am the owner of Luhyahood dream company," she said as she tapped on her chest boastfully. "My allowance only can pay you all of your salary for the entire year. What do you want before you allow me to see him money? Just mention it and I will...
"Hey ma'am you better leave right now if you don't want to sleep in jail today. I have told you this is a public office and we follow rules. Another thing I don't care what you are or what you know, I am just doing my Job. Next time know that we don't allow corruption, this is corruption free zone," the police officer warned.
"Really you are talking about corruption free zone yet some few months ago I corrupted you with millions of money to cover that murder case. That's why I told you that you are useless," she retorted back.
The police officer at the reporting desk was about to walk to Mrs Wechuli as he was enraged, but his colleague held him. This was the first time he was insulted by a woman who is not a police officer. He was trying so much not to beat her to pulp for the sake of his job.
He is one of the police officer that doesn't entertain nonesense. He was trying to be good to her but Mrs Wechuli took it as an advantage.
"Relax okay, this woman is very influential that's why she behaves like she owns the whole world. Two years back she was ranked as the best business woman in the county," his collegue said to his fellow police who have been insulted.
"Does that give her the permission to insult us, you know if the inmates sees something like this happening without us taking an action then they will start disrespecting us."
"If you are ready to lose your job then go on and put her under arrest with a crime of insulting the police officer. Then let's wait for tomorrow, you will be stripped of your rank together with the job. The best thing is ignoring her," the collegue adviced.
"I guess you will have to step in for me, my temper can't allow me to ignore her. I might do something that I am going to regret tomorrow."
"Take chill pills mehn, women are women no matter the position she is in . You need self control and understanding to understand a woman."
The police officer that have been insulted by Mrs Wechuli walked out of the reporting desk as the the other officer took over.
Mrs Wechuli have been trying to call random number, but no one was picking up. She had drunk excess wine that had high level of alcohol that's why she was behaving like a drunkard.
When she looked at the reporting desk and saw that another police have been brought to reporting desk she walked towards it again.
"Good day officer my name is Carol Wechuli, the owner of Luhyahood company. I want to see my friend that have been brought in here some few hours ago," she decided to introduce herself politely.
"Good day ma'am, no need to introduce yourself. I know you that you are the boss of Luhyahood dream company. I am very sorry ma'am that you won't be able to see your friend because of time," the police officer replied.
"Really? How much do you want before you allow me to see him?" She asked with pride as she was ready to fish out some cash from her purse.
"I am sorry ma'am but I won't accept that. It's a public office and this means that it's a corruption free zone. I don't want to lose my job by...
Mrs Wechuli cut him off as she hollered at him.
"What are you telling me! If I want all of you here will lose your jobs tomorrow. What I need is just a press of a button," she boasted as she walked away murmuring to herself.
