CHAPTER 233:CHRISTENING CEREMONY

Are you ashamed of him? that's why you don't want to tell us or what?," She asked jokingly.

"Why should I be ashamed?"

"Maybe it's Charo and you have not informed him to be prepared. Dont ambush him," she said.

Charo just smiled and concentrated on driving.

"Just relax you will be surprised and happy at the same time, it's not someone new and it's not Charo," Ivana replied.

After that theyy were all silent in the car until they arrived at the Christ the king chapel. Ivana was the only person that kept on checking at her boys. They were all sleeping silently in the baby carriers.

They arrived in the christ the king Chapel and Charo pulled over to the parking lot.

Before Ivana could alight, a call come on her cellphone and when she checked whoever was calling it was Sammy. She hurriedly received the call with the mind of maybe Sammy is not coming.

"Kindly don't tell me you are not coming please, I don't want to have a heart attack now," she said upon receiving the call 

"What are you saying I am already inside the chapel the priest is asking for you guys.  You are already late with five minutes,where are you?" Sammy asked.

Ivana sighed then said, "we are coming in we are here in the parking lot," she said then ended the call.

"We are late guys the priest is asking for us," She said as she picked Mulongo from the back seat.

Milka did the same and they didn't wait for Charo to open the door for them as they opened themselves and stepped outside.

Charo was standing outside the car after alighting when Ivana told him, "Charo you should follow us inside, you are a family to me so come," Ivana instructed.

Charo was about to open the boot and carry the dedication requirements, but Ivana told him not to. To wait until the time the priest will ask for them that's when he will come for the items.

When they walked inside chapel, the first thing Ivana saw surprised her. She spotted Sammy dressed in Jungle green suit, his suit was matching with her dress in terms of colours.

She looked at Milka and Mish and smiled, she wanted to ask them if they have been talking to sammy and instructed him to wear a jungle green suit so that they can match. She didn't ask them as the priest was already at the altar waiting for them.

So she walked hurriedly and sat in front row oposite to where sammy was seated.

"My apologies priest we are late but you can start now, this is my family," she said.

"May the good Lord be with you always," the priest said to those present in the chapel.

Be with your heart priest," they replied standing up.

After the song the priest instructed Ivana and the father to the children the godmother and godfather to come in front.

Ivana asked Milka to help her carry the babies to the altar where dedication was going to happen. She did that then come back to sit.

Ivana was only standing on the altar alone with her boys so the priest looked at her then asked," Where is the father of the babies."

"I am sorry father I told you yesterday that he is out of the country and I can't wait for him before I dedicate my children,he will be back after five years," Ivana answers the priest.

"You are the same lady who was here yesterday?" He asked.

Yes father (priest), she replied.

"Then your husband is not serious at all,how can he leave a very beautiful wife like you alone in this country?" The priest joked.

Those in church bursted in uproar laughter, they were not expecting the priest to say something like that to her. The way they laughed made the priest to chuckle then said.

"Who is the godfather and the godmother I want to start the dedication," the priest said atleast to end the laughter.

Both Sammy and Mish stood up at the same time, Mish was surprised that Sammy was putting on the suit that matches with Ivana. That's when she understood why Ivana was smiling when they entered the church.

So they walked to the altar and Mish murmured to Sammy, "You are dressed to kill, you are so smart."

"Thank you," Sammy replied without looking at her.

Priest then chuckled and said, "When you entered the church I thought that you are married to this handsome young man behind you. Did you plan on matching your outfit today?" 

Sammy just smiled and bowed his head to hide his smile.

"He is my friend, my good friend maybe we had communicated telephatically" Ivana replied.

"Okay we will start now, what are you supporting the dedication and the Christening with?"the priest asked.

Ivana turned to Charo and signaled him to bring the two dove that they were in the car boot.

Charo run outside  and after five minutes he returned back with the dove and handed them to Ivana.

Ivana took her brown envelope that contained some cash together with the dove and handed them to the priest.

"Now the three of you, stretch your hands and let's pray together for the children," the priest instructed.

"All Might father, I dedicate this children to you that you may bless them. Let them grow in your knowledge and favour, that they may turn out to be the best children in the society. To help and honour their parents. We all pray trusting in the name of Jesus! Amen," they all said in unison. 

The priest took some anointing oils and applied it on the boys forehead. 

He then came walked to the pulpit and read the word from the bible that talks about the naming of Jesus Christ and John the Baptist. He chose that word because the baby that were being dedicated were twins and thee was no example in the bible that can be used at that time.

"What is the name of your twins, from the first born and the other one that come out last," the priest asked.
