CHAPTER 188:FIVE YEARS.
So Paul and Mike had already started studying at Del-York creative school. One of their professor was so happy,when he learned that the two handsome men were from Kenya.
"I am so happy that two of my students are from the country of my wife." Professor Nkozi said. I hope you have the character of my wife, listening" the class bursted in the uproar laughter.
He was one of the Professors in school that is loved by the students and he likes cracking jokes before ending his lectures.
After their lessons were over, Paul and Mike accompanied each other to their small apartment. Paul had already texted Chioma their maid to prepare pounded yam with okra soup for them. When they arrived they freshened up immediately and sat on the table to eat their food.
Since they started schooling they had no specific time for breakfast, lunch and supper as they used to. Anytime they returned to the house that's when they could eat their food.
Mike noticed that Paul had need Incomparably silent. It was not his usual being, so he decided to enquire what was bothering him when they were eating.
"Hey,are you okay? Is something bothering you? I have noticed that you are so silent today. What's wrong Paul you can talk to me." Mika asked.
"I don't know what to do anymore mehn, it's paining me. I just feel like I should go back home and stop schooling." Paul said with anger.
"Wait you want to stop, yet you have not started. You are going to leave your school fees get wasted like that?"Mike asked surprised.
"I didn't say that I am stoping to study, did you listen to what I said? I said I feel like doing so." Paul retorted.
"Okay, you haven't told me what is bothering you." Mike asked again.
"The thing is it have been one week with some days now since we arrived here in Nigeria. I thought that Ivana will even enquire about how my journey was. I have been waiting for her call but she have not called me. I decided to call her and text her but neither my calls or texts are going through. I think she managed to block me.So today before the lecture time of Professor Nkozi, I decided to inbox her on the instagram. I was able to unblock myself on her social media pages." Paul paused to drink some water but Mike was note ready to wait.
"Lower your expectations Paul, when you left the country you were not in the right terms with her yet you expect her to call you?" Mike asked.
"The thing is I inboxed her in the instagram and left there a message. For your information she had started designing some dresses. I have seen that her designs have been trending since the day she posted. So I have checked now, she was online but she didn't even reply to me. Do you I deserve this kind of treatment in the world full of women than men?"
The thing is Mike had seen the Ivana's post on the instagram but he didn't tell Paul about it. He didn't like or comment to the post because he didn't want Ivana thinking that he was stalking her. He also didn't want Paul to know that he was there before him and he didn't care to tell him.
"What do you mean with that statement? Do you want to marry another woman? For your information if you marry be ready to share everything under your name with her according to the new constitution of the country. Having read it you will be left bankrupt. The second thing you are the one who wronged her. You went ahead to call a press conference and when you were asked where was your wife, you said that she was your girlfriend and she is the one who gave the information concerning the company to the media." Mike narrated to him.
"The press conference was my mother's idea Mike. Infact I was at your place when she called me to go home."
"Now that you allowed to let your mum do the thinking for you here are the results." Mike said.
"No Mike, I am to blame because mum have been always wanting me to convice Ivana to come back home, but I was the one delaying it. One of the reason their is a time Mum told me that she chose Ivana to marry me because she is important to us. Something I didn't understand." Paul said.
"Didn't you ask her?"
"No I never bothered bout it." He replied as he tried to think while tapping middle finger and index finger in his forehead.
"Don't worry, you married Ivana, she won't get married without divorcing you. Now she can't divorce you because you are not in the country. So just prepare yourself after five years you will go back and prepare yourself to date her a fresh. That's if you still love and want her in your damn life after FIVE years in nigeria." Mike stressed the word five adding on by stretching his five fingers to him.
"I love Ivana mehn, I love her so much, it pains me knowing that I was her first to enter between her legs. Yet I ended up cheating on her with a whore..."
Mike's eyes were wide open when Paul reveled the secret. "You mean she was a virgin? You are very lucky Paul. Do you know how it's hard to find an educated virgin?" Mike asked.
Paul looked at him then continued with what he was saying.
"I used to think that I married Ivana because mum wanted me to. I thought that I didn't love her, I never knew that it will be this hard when I am far away from her." Paul said as he swiped his phone screen to look at her picture.
"Mmmh" Mike just hummed.
"If I had known that my heart will pain me like this I would have chosed to study in Daystar University. Rather than flying out of the country. I miss her, I miss her alot mind you a week is just over. When will give years end?" He said as he scratched his head.
