CHAPTER 184:TWINS.
"What do you mean by that statement doctor?"Mish asked worriedly.
"She is fine meaning that neither her or the baby is in danger. Again she is not fine because Ivana is too much fatigued. I had told her that her pregnancy is the high risk one so she need enough rest."
"What will happen to her now?" She will have to stay here in the hospital for two days for close examining." Dr Masika said. "Now you will have to excuse me."
Dr Masika left and returned to the room, leaving Mish,Milka and Charo outside.
"I told her that she should not exhaust herself but she didn't listen to me." Milka said.
"You should not blame yourself Ivana is always stubborn but this time I will force her to listen to me." Mish said.
When Doctor Masika entered the room that Ivana was in, she was already awake.
"You are already awake, that's will allow me examine you for the second time." Dr Masika said as he examined her pulse and the heartbeat of the baby.
"Dr what happened? I don't remember how I ended up here!" Ivana asked still feeling dizzy.
"You collapsed out of fatigue Ivana, I told you that you have a high risk pregnancy but you didn't listen to me. Now the heartbeat of the other baby is so faint." Dr Masika said surprising Ivana.
'The other heartbeat is faint, what does she mean by that.' Ivana thought wondering what's was her possibility with her pregnancy. Dr. Masika answered her un asked question.
"You are carrying twins Ivana, and your pregnancy is high risk one. You need adequate rest or you might loose the baby. When you over work yourself, you are risking the lives of your babies and yours. Don't force me to put you under bed rest, I know how much you hate the hospital." Dr Masika adviced.
'Twins? what a surprise now this will text me to find out about their gender but I want it to be a surprise.' she thought as she caressed her bump."No doctor don't put me to bed rest I will take your advice from now on." She said.
"But you are not leaving the hospital now, you will have to stay here two to three days for closer examining." Dr Masika said then left before Ivana could protest.
When the doctor stepped outside if the room, Mish, Milka and Charo were ready to bomber her him with questions.But the doctor told them something that made them forgot about asking him the questions.
"She is awake you can go in one person at a time to see her." The doctor said then left.
"I will go in fast," Mish said as she walked in the room. It was obvious that she will be the first one to go in because among the three of them she was the only family there. The other two wete Ivana's employees that turned into family.
"Ivana how are you feeling now I was worried about you." Mish asked immediately she entered the room. "How is the baby did the doctor check how it is?"
"I am fine Mish,I am fine now. The baby is fine don't worry." Ivana answered 'I guess I should keep a secret about carrying the twins.' Ivana thought.
"I think Ivana you should not overwork yourself. You need to get enough rest for the remaining months before you have your baby. I will still remind you that I want to be a godmother so I don't want anything bad happening to you." Mish said nonchalantly.
"I have learned a lesson Mish and perhaps I don't want anything bad happening so I will follow the doctors instructions." Ivana replied.
"I will have to excuse myself so that Milka and Charo can visit you too." Mish said as she stood up ready to excuse herself.
"You mean they are here too? I am so sorry for worrying you." Ivana said apologetically.
Mish just nodded and left the room the next person was Milka.
"Milka,thank you so much for taking care of me Everytime." Ivana said as soon as Milka entered the room.
"How are you feeling ma'am we were so worried about you. You know since morning you were not feeling well but you refused to listen to me."
"From today I will be listening to you from today." Ivana said with a smile.
"Okay now, are we not leaving the hospital now, it's getting late, what do you want to have for supper?" Milka asked.
"Milka, you will have to home and take care of stacy, Nekesa and Gloria.Tell Rhoda to give them rooms at servant quarter. The doctor have said that I will have to stay two days in the hospital to examine my stability." Ivana explained.
"But Ivana who is going to stay with you here in the hospital? Atleast I....
"No Milka you need to go back home, I will ask Mish to stay with me. If she doesn't then you will come early tomorrow to check on me. I know you are worried." Ivana said.
Although Milka didn't want to leave Ivana alone if Mish refuses, she had no choice because Ivana is her boss, bit to listen to her.
Charo was the last person to visit Ivana, although he was not used to talking to her. He is used to maintaining the respect and the distance between them as an employee and the employer.
"Ma'am Ivana you should take enough rest now. Milka have told me that you are not coming with us. So I will have to drive them back home and drive Ma'am Mish back here too." Charo said while standing at the door. He was tried his best to make that entire statement.
"It's okay Charo I understand and thank you for holding me not to fall down when I staggered. Drive safe back home,bye." Ivana appreciated him.
Charo nodded then left the room, Ma'am Mish are you coming with us or remaining?" Charo asked.
"I guess I should go back freshen up and cook her supper. I know she hates hospital food and perhaps carry her clothes for change." Mish said as they walked out of the hospital.
