CHAPTER 15: JOURNEY OF NO RETURN.
Ivana's dad never comes out of a coma for two months. Ivana was out of hope now, she didn't know what to do but just continue waiting for him to wake up. She always prayed and wished that her dad will wake up one day.
Ever since Paul walked out of her in the hospital no one bothered to call each other. Paul continued bedding as many sluts as he can. He never visited her in the hospital again. He went back to his bachelor's kind of life. The only people that kept her company were the Mukhongos'.
She never bothered herself because she can't pursue a man she has no feelings for. That's why she just spent all of the two months in the hospital beside her dad.
In the morning Mike dropped by as a good friend he always cooked her a favorite snack and that was duma (arrow roots). The conversation was cool until something happened that changed the mood for the entire day.
Ivana heard a peeping sound from the machine connected to his dad's nostrils. And with that sound, she knew that something is a mess. The nurses started running inside the room her father was in. Hardly had they started checking him when the sound stopped and with the faces that the nurses were wearing she knew that her father is no more.
"Noooo....please do something doctor do some..thing...you... do it right?....l will pay anything as long as my dad survived. Doctor money is not an issue...please " she was shaking one of the nurses pleading with her to revive her dad back. But the nurse could only move her head in a negative way that implies that there is nothing she can do.
Ivana could not believe what was happening, she was more than confused. She moved from. one nurse to another, one doctor to another all those that were present in the room .she approached every paramedic pleading with them to help her dad. But she never received a positive answer.
She just come to realize when they pulled a white sheet over her dad to cover him and move him to the morgue.
"Mike...mike they are taking him away do something please..."Ivana was losing her mind. Mike just moved his head as he pulled her into an embrace. He didn't know what else he could do but only console her.
The news of the CEO of LUHYAHOOD DREAM COMPANY spread like fire in social media and mainstream media. When the Mukhongos' learned about his death they rushed to the hospital. They wanted to be with Ivana in this difficult situation. They knew how Ivana loved her dad so much.
On the arrival, Mish rushed towards Ivana and hugged her tightly. "Ooh Siz I am so sorry for your lose, okay we are here for you Ivana."
"Yes, Ivana don't hesitate to tell us anything you need okay" Mrs. Mukhongo chipped in.
"Aunt ..my dad is no more l can't believe this like he was fine a couple of hours ago but now, he is no more....l don't know what l will do now that he has left me alone," Ivana said as she sniffed.
"Indeed death is a journey of no return" she said as she sat down on the floor.
