CHAPTER 103: TOASTING.

"You better stay in your working environment,let's not make each other's working environment unfavourable" Paul said.

After the interview was over, the interviewers rewarded marks according to researched paper presented, the grade you graduated with, dressing code and confidence amongst many other things. 

Unfortunately for Paul Sylvia emerged the best among the ten interns to be hired. Although he was frustrated with the results, he didn't want to show them or give them the reason for his frustrations.

He told the human resource head of department to prepare the contract and send them to his office for prove reading. Also the interns were to collect the contract from his office.

As expected Sylvia was the last one pick her contract as she smiled. "I told you l will find my way here and work with you"

"You better stay in your lane Sylvia,remember l am the boss here. Don't get yourself fired !" 

"Yes my boss and ex-boyfriend too. Paul l am here for work, forget about what l told you earlier about being your personal assistant. I was only testing your loyalty, l have no I'll intentions, trust me" Sylvia maintained her eye contact with him as she said.

"Thank you for making my interview easier, you know l thought that you will make it difficult for me. But you never concentrated in what l was presenting. How about l toast you to new friendship of being your employee"  she asked mastering a good smile on her full lips.

Paul scoffed as he looked to his desktop. He was already tired with her presence so he tried ignoring her.

"It's Friday Paul, let's get wasted....l mean let me make a toast to you please. Trust me on this,l have already moved on."

Mrs Wechuli have been patiently waiting for the reply from her friend. She was desparete to see her company start operating. She had done so much to acquire it, and there was no way she will leave it like that.

She have been trying to reach out business mogul that she had an acquitance with to no avail. She was tired, with begging them to work with her. 

Although she didn't want to show her desperation to Eva but she was left with no choice but to call her. She picked her phone and dialed her number.

"Hello Eva, how are you doing?"

"I am fine Carol, what's up?" She asked happily. This was the moment she was dying to see her best friend in. She perfectly know why she was calling, but she wanted carol to say it with her own mouth.

"Nothing Eva l was checking on you" she said with a timid voice.

"Really? That's so nice of you l got to go, l have something to do" she said but in reality she knows what she was trying to do.

"Uhm, Eva? Have you talked to your boss as you said?"

"Yeah , yeah don't worry l am on it. Just wait for my call, okay?"

Before Mrs Wechuli replying or rather asking her. She hung upon her."l hope this works out" Mrs wechuli murmured to herself as she placed the phone on the table.

"Hahaa carol, l wish you were here, l want to see that face of yours. You were so mighty back then, despite us being friends you looked down on me.      I will crush you like....

"Have you informed her?" Her boss asked. She was behind her, so there was no way she could see her approaching.

"Hey you startled me..."

"Yeah l know you're busy soliloquiesing, l am sorry for that. Have you informed her? I want to discuss a contract with her."
