CHAPTER*73: USUAL BEHAVIOR.

In the morning Ivana woke up Very early to prepare. She had received a phone call from her Uncle Mukhongo during supper informing her to attend the board meeting the next day. She was so worried because she didn't know whoever is going to take over the company. 

She had tried to contact lawyer Sifuna but still he was out reach. She texted him, asking whether he was going to come to the company tomorrow but the text messages didn't get delivered.

She find it hard to sleep and to understand what was going on. One thing that was too disturbing for her was her Mother in-law,Mrs Wechuli. After everyone call she asked Ivana who,what she was talking to and about on the phone respectively.

Is she really concerned or have other motives. Yesterday after her uncle called during supper she picked the call right there and talked to him. He was family there was no need to hide or talk from a business.

Although her phone loud speaker was high and clear, someone can evesdrop on their conversation. Mrs Wechuli had the guards to ask her after the call was ended. During the call she had noticed different facial expressions with her mother in-law. She didn't understand quite well as her full concentration was on the call.

When she enquired about the caller and the information. Ivana didn't lie to her she told her the truth. She stopped eating saying that she was already full and hurriedly climbed the stairs to her room. It was quite unsual for her.

She went to the bathroom and took a warm shower. She came back to dress when she was surprised to find Paul had already selected what to wear and placed it on the dressing table with a note.

'WOMEN HAVE TROUBLES IN CHOOSING WHAT TO WEAR. I CHOSE THIS SUITS BECAUSE YOU LOOK DASHING IN IT WEAR IT FOR ME- Hubby.

She smiled after reading it, actually she was think on what to wear while bathing.She had started to gain some weight. So she was thinking of wearing a dress but now Paul had selected for her what to wear. She chose not to disrespected his wish.

It was a three piece business suit from Dior collection,dark blue in colour. She dried her hair and waited for him to finish bathing. He had told him that she won't drive herself to the company neither will the driver do. He wanted to drop her before he goes to his office. Was that being a gentleman, Jelousy or caring. She didn't know what her husband was portraying.

When she asked him if he was Jelousy. Paul said that he is concerned with her safety. Ivana didn't want to question him further as she already know what he was trying to do.

She was anxious and butterflies were moving in her stomach. So they didn't waste much time on breakfast as she ate only one piece of nduma- arrow root and sipped serial mouth of tea. Although the nduma had a different taste in her Mouth she decided to swallow as he walked to already opened car.

As agreed Paul told his driver that they will be dropping her to Luhyahood dream company before driving him to his office. They arrived and Paul took her to the board too to make sure that she is okay.They kissed each other goodbye before he left after saying "Incase of anything wifey, call me. I'm only five kilometers away. Remember he showed her a sign of love with his two hands before leaving.

Since this was the second time she was stepping in his dad's company. Ivana was not familiar with the employees of that company. She was seeing most of them for the first time. Although she was still young in that room,she promised herself not to be intimidated. Business mind and leadership blood run in her veins.

She put on a business face as she looked around in the board room. "Ooh young Madam, l didn't know you are already here,if you haven't lifted up your head" Mr Mwangi said.

He was the marketing manager of the company and he was the closest person to her late dad in that company. "Ooh l am sorry, l didn't know you are present too"

"But as the sole heir of the company and the new CEO,you should learn how to interact with your employees,don't you think so?"

"You are right Mr Mwangi my bad,"she apologized.

"No problem, guys l know most of us don't know her, she will be our new CEO after this meeting"he introduced her. Capturing the members present attention. Ivana blushed because she was not used to titles. Also she didn't imagine herself being the CEO of that large company and leading people that are twice other trice her age.'If only you had introduced to business and leadership earlier dad...'

"Make sure nothing goes wrong in that meeting.You know who owns that company now!Just call me if hings run out of your hands,or else l will have your head."

"So now you are threatening me, you have forgotten we are partner's in these? If you try something foolish we both rot in jail or one of us will, don't forget,what you did to me and who l am. I am not my brother" Mr Mukhongo walked outside the house after ending the call. He didn't notice that his wife heard everything. She was standing on the stairs listening to whatever he was saying.

'You have the guards to hung on me? Son of a bitch.Dont beg me for mercy when that time finally comes. I will be happy to pull the trucker's she smeared and entered the bathroom.

She wanted to be ready, if things goes wrong. She can't afford to lose that company. She entered the bathroom to take a shower.

Mr Mukhongo told his driver that he will be driving himself to work. He will call him to come and drive him back in the evening.
