CHAPTER* 79: PRICE FALL.

There order was brought,they started digging in the food because they were famished. Especially Ivana who didn't eat lunch because of confusion from the board meeting concerning the CEO position.

"Wooow it still tastes good just like before" she said before something capturing her attention. Paul continued stopped eating when he saw her gaze fixated infront. He followed her gaze then boom, he turned his chair to look at the business news on the television.

The headline read: LUHYAHOOD SHARES FALL IN PRICE. The details that followed surprised them. The initial price of the share was one hundred kenyan shilling per share and now the price was at two kenyan shilling per share.

'What? what's the meaning of this, after she has taken over these happened in less than a day?' She thought.

She couldn't believe what she was seeingvon the television. She blinked several time closed and opened her eyes to make sure that she had seen the correct thing.

'l don't know what you are feeling in that grave, look at your company now the person you trusted dad.'

"This only means one thing people pulled out their shares and investment" She said.

Paul turned and looked at her. "I don't know what mother is thinking right now. The company is under a crisis, if she won't think straight this is the downfall. Are you with me Wifey?"

"I don't care" She spoke with her mouth full of food. She continued eating like a glutton. She stuffed more food in her mouth and even struggled to chew. She only knows what she was doing; preventing herself from speaking further.

"Hey hey wifey ,....go slow you will choke,.... here have some juice or water to aid you in swallowing"

"It's only two months since he died and now the company is collapsing" one of the customers said.

"I heard that his brother is the CEO,maybe he had embezzled the funds"

"He was the interim CEO, l don't think so "

"They had a meeting today you know, my husband is one of the board of members there. I heard that their is a lady who took over the CEO position"

"A lady,?the daughter of the former CEO right?maybe she is inexperienced with the leadership that's why the share price had declined?

"Not the heiress, l don't know my husband said that their boss had transferred his here's to that lady before his death"

The customers in the resort started having conversations and different opinions about the stock exchange and Luhyahood dream company.

Ivana and Paul tried not to pay attention on what they were saying and concentrate on their dinner. It become too much when they started to talk about his mother. He stood up and got hold of Ivana's hand, then ;"Let's go l can't bear it in here"

"What, hubby are we going to leave because of mere talks?

The way Paul looked at her, made her to oblige and follow him outside.' l felt more than that when l saw your mother snatching away the company from me.' They entered the car and the driver accelerated it.

"What? Son of a bitch this is not happening, what is happening" Mrs Wechuli shouted as the glass of her wine slipped away from her hand.

After reading the headline about the stock of exchange. It attracted the attention of everybody in the party. The music stopped playing, the party was at it's pick but the news ruined it.

"I knew you would do this, shirt!" Mr Mukhongo exclaimed as he brought out his cellphone and dialed his number. But it didn't go through, Mr Mzee had blocked him.

"I had invested greatly intjis company and now this, l can't believe it" she sat on the floor as she weiled.

"Relax we will figure out how to bring it back" Mr Mukhongo tried consoling her but it didn't go well with him 

"Shut up you are the one who gave me this idea,look at the result now, you better know how to bring it back on it's feet or else.."

"Hey relax bestie,stop making a fool out of yourself,a CEO like you should not behave like this in public. Who wi respect you if you behave like a child. Arise and seat in your chair l got you okay"Eva said her longest best friend.

"Ooh yeah thank you Eva, you know l reacted out of emotions. She dusted off her clothes as she sat down on her chair.

Although most of the employees concentration was on the television and the discussion that was going on some of them saw how she behaved. It was mannerless and childish.

Her table comprised of only three people, Mr Mukhongo, Mrs Wechuli and her friend Eva. 'This is the perfect time to get her to our business' Eva thought. She didn't know how to talk to her since there was a third party, neither can they shift to a safety place for their conversation. It will only raise concern and questions from the employees present.

"I need to talk to you bestie", she said eyeing Mr Mukhongo.

"Are you leaving Eva, are you going to leave me alone. I thought l can count on you but l was wrong" Mr Wechuli said.

"Stop over thinking, can you ask him to give us a moment? I want to talk to you privately" she said.

"I will go to the washroom anyway l am pressed go on and talk, hope you won't take long" Mr Mukhongo said.

Eva rolled her eyes that spoke who are you to dictate me'. "Bestie now that this is happening even when you haven't started what are you going to do?"

"Eva, l am confused l really don't know, l don't know if l can borrow money from you. Or l should borrow from my son."

"For now l can't help you bestie, l am down" 'I am talking about something else here you are wanting to borrow money from me.'

"Any idea Eva, because l know my son, he is against me taking over this company. Do he won't lend me money neither invest in it"
