Chapter 15: Doctor's Visit

Hades woke up early and called Jerry to buy them breakfast. Jerry felt that the vinegar last didn't really spill out because, how can his young master talk to him like he was his old friend!

Nevertheless, Jerry still bought their food but this time, he didn't knock. He was still traumatized when it was the young madam who opened the door. If what happened last night was real or just a nightmare or a premonition he needs to be vigilant so he called his young master to tell him that he is already waiting outside to give the food.

His young master seems to approve his actions because he nodded at him when he took the food but afterwards he slammed the door. Anyway, that's already a good sign that if what happened last night was true then his young master didn't take it to heart.

Hades didn't care about how his subordinate's mind is functioning right now. All he thinks is to prepare the food of Nina before she wakes up.

Nina is now inside her space. Since she accepted Hades to be by her side, she felt a little better emotionally so she arranged her space energetically.

She asked her farming tools to make several other plots for her crops while she was munching the strawberries. The strawberries she's eating right now are so sweet and delicious. She can also feel a little spiritual energy while eating it, but it was not too much so she can put it outside. She'll give some for Hades to try later.

Nina planted several vegetables and fruits. She also planted some flowers, she can use them for a flower bath when they bloomed.

Nina felt that something was still missing in her space but she doesn't know what it is. Anyway, she is quite satisfied with her space now so she took some fruits to give to Hades and Grandma Sol.

When she was out, she took a bath first before looking for Hades. When she opened her room's door she saw Hades who was about to knock on her door.

She noticed that he also just took a bath. He's wearing a long sleeved tight shirt and jogging pants which showcases his nice sculpted body. Nina never dared to look anywhere on Hades' body anymore. Hades' body makes her think of dirty things! She is not really an 18 year old girl, she's already a 24 year old soul who had a child in her previous life.

But she only experienced doing those adult stuff twice, once in her previous life and once here, she still can't help but be curious because she was not fully aware in both experiences! Why is she thinking about this? It's Hades' fault! Why was he parading his body in front of her?

She already felt his strong arms and chest when he held her yesterday but she's curious what would it look like without the clothes? Oh no, Nina! You have gone bad!

Nina's flustered face made Hades chuckle, maybe he should give Jerry a raise for buying this shirt for him.

"W-why are you here?" Nina tried her best not to be affected by Hades' chuckle. He looks so damn good when he smiles like that.

"I'm about to call you for breakfast because it's already 9 am, the doctor will check you up at 10 so you need to eat first"

"oh"

"What are you holding?"

"I almost forgot, I'll send half of this to Grandma Sol, then let's eat the other half"

Hades didn't ask anymore. He just helped Nina carry the fruits to the kitchen then divide it. He told Nina to eat first while he sends the fruits to Grandma Sol.

Nina didn't follow Hades' instructions. She waited for him to come back.

"you haven't eaten yet?"

Nina shook her head "it's boring to eat alone"

Hades knew that Nina is an orphan who was not treated well because of her aloof personality then she lived two years by herself. Then after she left her previous house, she met his parents who stayed with her during mealtimes, she also ate with Ares, even though he doesn't like the idea of his cousin being too close to his Nina he still wanted to thank him for taking care of her in his absence.

Hades wanted to tell Nina that she will no longer eat alone. He will always be with her. If there will be a time he will be absent, he'll make sure that someone will accompany her. But thinking of who will be that someone, he already feels a little irritated. Now he knew why his dad threw the company to him, he wasn't bothered before, but now he thinks to make his old man go back to work. He has been enjoying his life for nearly 7 years.

Hades didn't tell Nina what he wanted to do. He will show it to her.

When they finished the food, Nina fed Hades the fruits that she brought. Hades just opened his mouth. If it was another person, he would automatically slap its hand away but if it's Nina, he will gladly accept anything she gives.

Hades doesn't know if the sudden loss of fatigue that he felt was a psychological reaction because Nina fed him or it has something to do with the strawberry he ate.

Hades looked at Nina who is also munching strawberries while fiddling her phone. Nina seemed to feel his gaze so she looked at him "what?"

"nothing"

"eat more"

"feed me?"

Nina just rolled her eyes and put another berry on his mouth then she continued using her phone

"what are you doing?" Hades can no longer stand Nina's attention to her phone and not caring about him.

Nina took a berry first then put it in his mouth "this is the list of the things I will buy later. I wanted to cook, I've been eating restaurant food for a long time now, it's not healthy"

"okay, let's wait for the doctor to say it's already fine for you to go out before buying"

"uhm" Nina answered then she stopped using her phone to clean the table but before she can lift anything Hades already took it

"you should also let me work, you already arranged everything for our breakfast"

"You can work next time, but now no. You are already tired from feeding me"

"How is that tiring?" Nina just put berries in his mouth, what is tiring there?

"I know my Nina will never be tired of me" Hades said triumphantly smiling like an idiot

"who is yours?" Nina snorted before walking out of the kitchen then went straight to her room

That guy always finds a way to flirt with her and she is not immune! This is so unfair!

While trying to calm herself, Nina heard Hades calling her because the doctor is already here. When she left her room, Hades was already waiting for her so they went to the living room together.

"Little sis, are you okay now?" Ares run in front of her but he was not able to get near her because Hades blocked his way

"What little sis?" Hades asked darkly, Nina will be his wife so why is this stupid cousin of him still calls her little sister?!

"Nina is my sworn little sister, you can't change that" Ares is also firm with regard to this matter, he may be afraid of his cousin but with regards to his sworn statements, he will never back down.

Ares and Hades had a glare war so Nina had no choice but to stop them.

"Brother, Hades, stop okay? Don't act like 3 years old kids"

"What did you call me?" Hades' eyes now turned to Nina

"Hades" Nina just answered back

Hades feels like he ate something very sweet so he ignored Ares then held Nina's hand to meet the doctor.

Ares' irritation turned to disbelief when he saw his wolf-like brother turned into a puppy when Nina called him by his name, this is too unscientific!

Everyone knows how much his brother hated to be called by his name. Only his family can call him that way so if anyone calls his first name in front of him, he will be dragged out of the place immediately.

Nina remembers this beautiful doctor from yesterday. She knows that this doctor is dedicated to her job that's why she got easily close to her.

"Doctor Alice" Nina greeted her

"Nina, you look so much better from yesterday"

"Yes, thank you for your help"

"That's my job" Doctor Alice smiled "Anyway, I'll just do some basic check-up okay"

Nina just smiled, all throughout the procedure, Hades was just holding her hand which made Nina feel funny. It seems like the doctor will do something bad to her and Hades is ready to take her away if the doctor made a bad move.

Nina was not wrong with her assumption. Hades is afraid that the doctor would do something unnecessary to Nina. Although he made a background check to this doctor, Hades is still vigilant. He let this doctor be in charge of his most important person but if he sees anything odd, he will directly grab Nina away.

Alice feels that she went back to the times when she's still in her internship. Where her teacher looks at every move she makes.

Why was this girl's boyfriend like this? She looks so sweet and beautiful, why did she fall for a man who looks like a big bad wolf? Maybe younger generations are really into bad boy looks. But the man doesn't look like a bad boy but an evildoer!

In Alice's 25 years of life, she never felt too nervous in front of anyone, but her patient's boyfriend's aura can make her run away in fear. But this is her sworn duty. She must always execute it beautifully.

After like forever, Alice is finally done diagnosing Nina "Everything is fine now, but you should not make yourself too tired and stressed. Drink your vitamins and eat healthy food and-- for the first trimester you can not do that, it will be dangerous to you and the baby!" Alice bit the bullet, she needs to tell this no matter what! Nina looks so soft that she might not be able to say no to the big bad wolf so Alice will help her.

Nina was so flustered when she heard what doctor Alice said but as a courtesy, she nodded her head.

Alice didn't dare to look at the wolf. She just arranged her things to go back to the hospital.

"You should also go for a monthly check-up to monitor the baby. I will schedule your next check in my clinic, is that okay?" Alice really likes this girl. She looks so sweet and innocent, she was a little sad when she found out that the sweet looking girl that was brought to the emergency room was pregnant, but hey, all babies are gifts! She will just help Nina lessen the burden of pregnancy in any way she can.

"Thank you then" Nina answered sincerely. She knows that this doctor truly cares about her. The two said goodbye to each other while Hades just nodded his head to the doctor.

Ares also said bye to Hades and Nina because he was the one who sent Alice to Nina's house because Hades instructed him to do so

"I know yesterday that you are quite brave but to tell those things in front of my cousin...man, my respect for you reached whole new level" Ares said when the two sat on the car

"A lawyer takes care of the people they sworn to protect, it's just the same with doctors. Doctors will try their best to make their patients feel comfortable and when they can't make it, they will weep secretly with them. I know that as a lawyer, you haven't lost to any trials but as a doctor I already lost a young woman and her child that's why I took Nina's case seriously"

Alice's usually bright eyes suddenly turned cold which made Ares unaccustomed. That was why when this doctor found out that Nina was pregnant she wanted to nag him thinking that he was the father.

"Doctors are not gods. They can only help you feel better. It was not your fault that you lost them"

"I know, I just don't want that to happen again"

"Well, you don't need to worry too much about Nina. You might feel like my cousin is a demon but he can be an angel in front of Nina. He is a wimp in front of her"

"Yeah, I saw that too" Alice finally smiled "I think Nina is also blessed to have that man by her side. I thought at first that they don't match together because the girl looks so sweet and kind while the man looks terrifying and brute. Their great contrast made them unexpectedly compatible. But come to think of it, your cousin is really good looking. It's just his aura that made me afraid to look at him but he is actually an eye candy. Nina will have a great eye feast just by looking at him, and if she includes the body… okay, now I understand why that sweet looking girl allowed herself to be pregnant with that man"

When Ares heard this, he felt irritated. What does this woman mean? Does she mean that if his cousin asks her to give birth to his child she will willingly agree?

"my cousin already has Nina, don't think of any nasty thoughts"

"I wasn't thinking anything nasty! I was just giving explanation to why the two got together"

"But you said you understand why Nina allowed herself to be pregnant"

"Yes, I do. Her boyfriend is good looking and is nice to her"

" Are those only the reason why a woman will be willing to give birth?" he became more irritated, he remembered why he was existing in this world.

"My dear attorney, you are thinking that all girls are too shallow" Alice noticed Ares' sudden change of mood. Seems like this attorney may look carefree but he also has some chains that binds him.

"a woman gives birth due to different reasons, some because they have no choice, there are also those who has shallow reasons like what I said earlier but most of the time it is because they love the man and the man made them feel secured that if they had the child she will still be okay"

"But what if the man just made a lie? Will they not find it?"

"I can't say something out of general context with that matter because women have different IQs and stupidity levels. Some girls know that they are not loved by the man but they can actually tolerate that and give birth to his child just to be with him."

"Some know but choose to ignore because they don't want society to laugh at them."

"Then there are those stupid to the bones where all the evidences was laid to them but still can't get it. They will try to give excuses for their man until they realize that it was all a lie."

"There are three endings for this type of girl. The first one will still stay in that toxic relationship because she doesn't have enough emotional support from her family or close friends. So even though she wants to break free she doesn't have enough courage"

"The second one resorts to revenge, because duh, they tried to give everything an excuse then they will find out that it was all a lie. But this type of girl is a little worrisome because she feels that she has done the right thing but she knows that she's empty inside. She will try to feel the emptiness but if she can't find the cure to her emptiness she might be succumb by that emptiness"

"So you mean that there is a cure for the second one?"

"Of course! But different cases need different approaches. But the problem is, most of this type doesn't know that they need to be cured because they thought that what they are doing is already their lifestyle. And a person of this type can't be cured unless they are willing to be cured"

"Then what will you be?" Ares asked curiously

"I will be the third type. If ever, I know I will not enter any relationship if the other person is unwilling. But if by chance I fell for a man's lie I might also try to give the benefit of the doubt but if there is already solid evidence, I will take my child's custody and live far away from that man. I'm not a saint, I might think of having my revenge but if we already have a child then instead of focusing my hatred toward the scum man, why not focus all my attention on my child. Then we will live a better life. The greatest revenge is not making other people suffer, but to make them look up to you and try to get you back but they already lost their chance"

"You are right"

"Oh, where here already" then Alice smiled at Ares "thanks for listening to me attorney"

"I had a great time chatting with you doctor" Ares smiled back then Alice walked towards the hospital.
