There's No Need to Accept It

When they finally left the sea of people, the traffic light suddenly turned green. The driver stepped on the accelerator and was about to continue moving forward. Unexpectedly, just as the speed increased, a pedestrian rushed over at an extremely fast speed. Looking at the moving traffic, the pedestrian appeared very flustered.

The driver hurriedly braked and stopped. The pedestrians were so frightened that they hurriedly bowed and apologized. They had no choice but to retreat and stand in the middle of the traffic flow. They looked around nervously, as if they were afraid that a car would accidentally hit them.

And with this, Su Wan, who had just fallen asleep, suddenly woke up. Her dazed eyes stared at the road ahead that was steadily moving forward, and she only came back to her senses after a while.

They had already left the reporters' human wall.

It was the same every year. It was like a set process that would happen every year. Before she got married to Jing Chen, she had already understood all of this when she was a child that Grandfather adopted.

She yawned and let go of Jing Chen's arm very naturally. She sat on the other side obediently. At this moment, they were the furthest away from each other.

However, the space in the car was still very big. The two of them seemed like they were completely unrelated to each other.

Su Wan changed her seat and leaned against the car window, preparing to continue sleeping.

On the other hand, Jing Chen moved his numb body and looked at the driver with a dark expression, his gaze sharp.

The driver immediately felt a chill down his spine. He glanced at the rearview mirror and met Jing Chen's eyes. He apologized immediately. "I am sorry, Master Jing. I will be careful when I drive next time."

Jing Chen did not give him any face and replied coldly, "Go back and collect three months of your salary."

In other words, the chauffeur was fired on the spot.

The chauffeur panicked immediately. He wanted to beg again, but he didn't have the courage to say it out loud when he met Jing Chen's eyes. He could only agree reluctantly.

He hated that pedestrian.

Su Wan was so shocked by the fierce voice that she lost her sleepiness. She squinted at the scenery in the distance and knew that they were almost there.

She took a deep breath and was completely awake. "Has Young Master Jing always been driving steadily?"

Stunned by her question, Jing Chen quickly understood what she meant. He stared at her and asked, "You're pleading for a chauffeur? Do you think he will repay you? Or hate me?"

These words scared the driver so much that he almost turned the steering wheel wrongly!

The driver replied hurriedly, "Young Master Jing, you are my bread and butter. How dare I offend you? This is my mistake and I deserve to be taught a lesson."

They stopped there.

The driver didn't dare to say anything else. He was actually very grateful that Mrs Jing would speak up for him and the anger in his heart instantly dissipated.

He put his hand behind his seat and looked at Su Wan with a terrifying smile. "Come here, Mrs. Jing."

Su Wan was stunned by this nickname, but she had no intention of going over.

Jing Chen was not annoyed. He continued patiently, "We'll be there soon. Aren't you afraid that the reporters will be able to take photos of us in the car?"

Su Wan looked outside and saw people walking on the road from time to time. This place was supposed to be sparsely populated, and only after the event was arranged would there be people busying themselves here. Being able to see people meant that they were indeed arriving soon.

She leaned over, her face expressionless. In the end, she even closed her eyes.

But Jing Chen smiled happily. "You don't have to collect three months of your salary."
