Lucas lives with Norah

While Lucas was on his way, his phone rang, he stretched his hand and took it out of his pocket. " I have his money." He said to himself, seeing it was Mr Benjamin's mobile number.  Lucas pressed the green button, then answered.

" You are lucky that I did not lay your hands on you," Benjamin told him.

"I'm sorry, Mr Benjamin, it wasn't my fault to not have paid you before now." Lucas paused and continued, with confidence.

" I have your money now." He said to her,

" Hahahahah." Mr Benjamin laughed as he mocked Lucas on the phone.

" What money, the one you were unable to pay for over three months, how do you raise it in just a few hours?" Mr Benjamin asked him. " Don't worry Mr Benjamin, I will transfer it to your account." Lucas answered smiling.

" Her fiancé has paid off your debt." 

Lucas muttered, wondering who Mr Benjamin was referring to.

" Who exactly is that?" Lucas asked.

" She introduced Xavier as her fiancé, bringing to my notice that she had divorced him," Mr Benjamin added.

" Renee did so.?" He asked with shock.

" Are you surprised that your wife has been taken away from you.?" Mr Benjamin mocked him the more.

" Excuse me." Lucas told him and ended the call.

" Xavier paid off the debt," Lucas said to himself.

" Yes he did," Lucas replied. " This is serious." Lucas added and touched the cheque, after which he nodded his head.

"This is an insult. Nevertheless, I won't brag about the money, by paying Xavier back, rather use it to establish myself." He said, tapping his chest. " Renee divorced me and Xavier, but I assured her that she would pay for it." He concluded and adjusted the chair.

" He ended the call on me." Mr Benjamin, speaks alone in his office.

" Did he say such a prank to me?" Mr Benjamin asked, butting his lips. " Lucas, I know, can't afford the shoes he wears, talkmore, paying off his debts." He concluded and hissed. 

Shortly after Lucas arrived home, when Lucas stepped into the compound parked he found Mr Liam and the police car parked.

" This must be about me," Lucas said, and about making a step out of the compound, when he decided to move in.

" I have to face the challenges, moreover I was the cause of it." He took the bull on its horn.

" That is the chief that wants to destroy my years of effort." Mr Liam instructed the police officer about getting Lucas arrested.

" I have the money with me, please don't get me arrested." Lucas pleaded, but he was already asked by the inspector not to say a word.

" Take him out of this place now and make sure he ends up in jail." Mr Liam instructed the police men. Lucas was then handcuffed as he was asked to get into the car.

" That was the man you want me to spend the rest of my life with, a fraudster, not just one but also a thief." Renee admired her father. " He will spend the rest of his life in jail, and I will make sure that Benjamin is thoroughly warned for his actions." Renee added, with a furious look.

" Go on with your life." Mr Liam told his daughter. "Thanks Dad." Renee replied to him and hugged him.

Lucas in the police station. " I seek your favor." He pleaded with the inspector.

" What do you want, Lucas?" Inspector Aiden replied to him.

" Can I speak with a friend?" Lucas asked.

" It is not permitted," Mr Aiden added.

"Please…" Lucas pleaded.

Mr Aiden handed him over the phone. Where Lucas dials Norah's number.

" Hello Lucas." Norah said to him, melodiously.

"I am in police custody." Lucas told him, speaking so slowly.

" What, what happened Lucas.?" She stood with force. " Hold on, I will be there." Norah replied to him, after demanding an address. She got into the car without Evelyn coming with her.

" What is Miss Norah?" Evelyn asked, worried.

" Stay aside." Norah told her and instructed the driver to drive down to the police station.

" Thanks." Lucas said to Inspector Aiden.

" Don't you have relatives?" Inspector Aiden sounded so caring.

But Lucas was silent, as he kept staring at him.

They were still talking when Miss Norah arrived.

" Isn't Norah missing William's daughter.?" A police officer asked his colleagues at the receptionist.

" She is the one. What exactly has brought her here?" The police officer asked.

" Where is Norah?" She asked the police officer. " How can we help you miss Norah?" The police officer asked.

Norah walked majestically closer to the receptionist again.

" Good day miss Norah." Inspector Aiden said to her with a smiling face.

" What brought you here?" He asked.

" Lucas is under your custody." She replied to him.

" You know him?" He asked surprisedly.

" He is my friend," She answered.

" I don't believe you know an irresponsible man like him, while you are a woman with great potential." Inspector Aiden said to him. " He narrated all Norah should know about Lucas' arrest.

" I thought it had paid off." She asked.

" Mr Liam instructed that Lucas end up in jail." Inspector Aiden added.

" No, when I am with him," She said and added. " Please release him." Norah pleaded. However, Inspector Aiden, with Norah's influence, called for Lucas' release, who was quickly released.

" Thanks." She said to Inspector Aiden, who shook hands with him.

" You are welcome." Inspector Aiden replied to her. 

" Mr Liam shouldn't know that I am the one who called for Lucas' release, you should know what to reply to him when he asks," Norah said.

"Alright, miss Norah," he replied.

" Thanks Miss Norah," Lucas said, and hugged Norah right before Inspector Aiden. Inspector Aiden was shocked. " You both must have known each other for a long time?" He asked Lucas and Norah.

" We are fine." Norah smiled and asked Lucas to come with him.

A few minutes after Lucas had left, Mr Liam called. " He should be persecuted soon." Mr Liam said.

"I'm sorry he has been released by an unknown person." Inspector Aiden replied.

"Who must that be?" He asked with his right hand on the cushion.

" Norah." Inspector Aiden replied to him.

" She bailed him.?" He asked.

" Yes she did." Inspector Aiden answered.

" Dad, who is that?" Renee asked, with her eyeballs on her father.

"Who is Norah, and how is she connected with Lucas?" 

" Oh! Renee exclaimed. " She is a daughter of the serangoon billionaire, Mr Williams." 

" He is her chef, I think she needs his service." Renee said. Nevertheless, Mr Liam ended it there, never to remember Lucas again, not Renee doing that.

" This is your new home." Norah said to Lucas, smiling at him.

" Thanks for all you've done." He answered Norah and shouted. " My cheque." Lucas checked his pocket.

" Here is the check." He said to Norah. 

" It is safe." Norah said to him, and instructed that Lynn get Lucas a glass of wine and a cake, awaiting the meal which was in process.

" Here is it, Lucas." Lynn handed over the glass of wine to him, same with the snack.

"  I can't appreciate you enough for what you have done to me, you are my Savior" he reciprocated.

" I have done nothing." Norah replied to him.

However, Norah was given the best wine to drink so far, and cake.

The next day, Norah called on her domestic workers.

" Lucas will be staying with us, and I command that you respect him as well." Norah instructed them.

" He is more than a friend to me." She concluded. " Failure to respect him as required from among you, I will fire such an individual." She added. " Am off to work." Norah said,, making a step to move when she sighted Lucas with her sexy eyes.

" Can I help with the briefcase?" Lucas asked, smiling.

" Evelyn will do that." She replied, and smiled at him. Lucas, appreciating her, got closer and kissed Norah on her forehead. " Have a nice day." He said to her, "Thanks." She appreciated, moving further, Norah turned and said more. " Get reading for an outing toward the end of the day." She smiled and left.

" What will you eat, Mr Lucas?" Lynn asked, respectively, and as commanded.

" I will prepare the meal myself," Lucas answered her.

" No, she requested you be treated specially just as she is." Lynn told him.

" Going into the kitchen wasn't exclusive." 

"I'm sorry Mr Lucas, you won't go into the kitchen until she permits," Lynn replied, as she stopped him from going into the kitchen.

Lucas, unable to supersede Lynn, sat back on the cushion, he held the television remote, turning to his favorite station.

" I am not supposed to be doing this now," he said to him, dropping the remote  on the table. "Lucas, go out and search for a job, be creative this time." Lucas said to himself, with his hands on his cheeks. " I will have to set up my restaurant with the little money at hand seeing that Norah has decided to house me for a while." He added, and stood from the cushion.

" Here is your breakfast." Lynn told Lucas, pointing at the dining table.

" Thanks, but I'm not hungry." He answered her. 

" You have to eat please," she pleaded with him.

" I am not hungry." Lucas answered her.

" She won't be happy with me if you fake eating." She replied to him slowly.

"I'm fine." Lucas said, and quickly went into his bathroom, where he took his bath.

" Why is it actually wrong ? He has refused to eat." Lynn gets worried. She went into the kitchen and stood so surprisingly.

While in the bathroom, he got to the little table beside his bed, picked up a cream and started applying it to his body. After that, he wore his clothes and looked  so charming. 

" Am set to go," he said to himself, from the mirror.

" Lynn, you can have breakfast." He shouted aloud and about leaving the compound.

"I'm sorry, Mr Lucas, you are not permitted to leave without me driving you. Please permit me, else I will be fired if you fail to grant me the opportunity." The driver pleaded with him.

" What is happening here?" Lucas became confused. 

" Am not caged "he replied to the driver.

" Yes I know that sir." Replied the driver.

" Alright, let go," Lucas Concord to that.

While in the car, Lucas and Jonathan the driver kept on chatting.

" Can you please take me to the Norah office.?" Lucas said to Jonathan.

" Why not, I can." Jonathan replied to him.

" Alright" Lucas answered. " Before that, I hope you are married.?" He asked the driver.

" Not really, but in a serious relationship," The driver answered.

" How did you fall in love with your fiancée?" Lucas asked, and drew more of his attention on Jonathan.

" Why did you ask sir.?" Jonathan asked him, curiously. " We became best friends after I had her here in Sengkang," Jonathan replied.

" You must have treated her well, for her to have fallen in love with you." Lucas, smiling, asked.

" Yes sir," Jonathan replied.

" Stop." Lucas commanded him.

"Do you want some food?" Jonathan asked him.

" No, rather make my investigation on where to establish a restaurant." He replied to the driver.

" Did I hear what you said?" Jonathan asked him.

" Yes, is there a problem with that?" He is Jonathan.

" Hi fast, do you want it done.?" Jonathan, speaking with his hands on the stirring not driving rather looking from the window alongside Lucas. 

" This is where I would like to establish mine." He replied Jonathan. " And I will want it done immediately." Lucas answered him.

" Hmmmm," Lucas muttered. 

" Why?" Lucas asked him.

" That is, Miss Norah will permit you to do that in a hurry.

" What do you mean?" Lucas asked, with his hands on the stirring.

" You met a billionaire, a lady with a good heart, she would prefer you to have something better than a restaurant," Jonathan replied to him.

" Is this how good Norah is?" He asked.

" She is nice to everyone," Jonathan replied. " Remember, you requested to see Norah at the office." Jonathan reminded him.

" I have changed my mind," Lucas replied.

" Why?" Jonathan asked him.

" Let's step down while I survey the area", Lucas told him, and got the car door open.
