Chapter 14 Please shut up

_Which deity did I offend to deserve such an unlucky night_

To his dismay, the sound of the crashed car door being forced open was accompanied by the sound of foot steps.

" Dang it!, I thought I told you to take a left you idiot!" A Man in dark clothing cursed aggressively after stepping out of the car.

he held his head which was now bleeding from the supposed injury he got from the crash as he glared towards the person in the driver's seat.

The driver remained motionless before his eyes.

" Sang Kim get up already will you!, We don't have time to lose!, get up let's leave this place before those bastards catch up to us" he shook the man's body vigorously urging him to get up but his partner remained unmoving.

He was just about to smack him out of annoyance when he noticed a bloodied wound on the back of his neck, a bullet wound!.

He recalled them being chased by a few law enforcer's after they refused to comply when told to step out of the car with their hands up

The bullet must've hit him when they were being chased down after refusing to calm to a halt by the law enforcer's.

While trying to flee Sang Kim must've lost a lot of blood from the porous wound on his neck which led to him soon losing consciousness.

Which was likely the reason for the crash.

" Who's their!"

The vigilant and panicked robber sensed a gaze on him, he quickly turned towards Lu Xin's direction but the careful young man was quick to duck, missing his line of sight by a slight margin.

" Almost got caught!" Lu Xin muttered underneath his breath, his expression one of relief.

" Maybe next time try staying put before you get caught..." The cashier whispered while glaring at him with her enchanting icy eye's but Lu Xin who was still worried about the armed man didn't even pay her any heed, to her irritation he actually rolled his eyes at her instead, though not trying to take a peak again anytime soon.

When he didn't catch a glimpse of anyone, The robber still didn't fail to look around the store vigilantly while standing next to the crashed car, his gun still in hand.

His eyes scanning around checking if someone was around.

" Could've sworn I saw someone..." He used his finger to scratch his shaved jaw with a contemplating look.

" Hmm...., Maybe I was just over thinking?" he reassured himself before going back to pulling out the bundled money bills from the decommissioned car.

With the robbers back facing their direction as he hastily started bringing out all the money bills from the car, Lu Xin took a slight peak at him before crouching down behind the counter once more.

" He hasn't noticed us yet so we should be safe for the time being, I suggest we keep quiet until he gets what he wants and leaves"

" Do I look stupid to you or something, of course I know that, I don't need you to explain something so simple to me" she sniggered disdainfully towards him but Lu Xin's expression didn't seem to change at all seemingly not bothered by it, he instead shifted away from her, leaving a noticable distance between them before pointing towards the space between them and pointing back towards her, his meaning was as clear as daylight.

He promised he wouldn't try anything else against her till this was all over.

Lu Xin didn't want to bother saying it out loud for he was afraid of the robber noticing them, it was already a miracle that he hadn't noticed their voices in this silent convenience store.

Unfortunately for him, The cashier took it as him telling her to stay on her own and that he didn't want to have anything else to do with her.

From this moment onwards I don't want to have anything to do with you.....

While misunderstanding his meaning, A heartless sentence she'd tried so hard to forget resurfaced inside her head.

Her mind became clouded with a reminiscent memory that caused her eyes to dim, their once icy luster looked as if they'd vanished and in it's place was the remaining coldness.

" Fine then!, I'll stay on my side!, if you even try moving an inch closer I swear you'll regret it!" She said in a frosty tone causing Lu Xin's face to turn pale in an instant.

He hurriedly tried getting to his feet before scampering towards the isle's.

Though filled with coldness she couldn't help feeling confused as to why he'd react that way.

She sat their silently, only when she felt the cold metallic surface of something pressing against her skull did she finally realize why he'd ran.

" Looks like I was right, someone really was hiding back here and a stunning beauty at that hehehe " The robber chuckled sinisterly whilst liking his lip's in a revolting manner.

His expression was no different than a fat man seeing a greased drum stick for the first time.
