9 09: Kevin vs Mika

After the confession night, Kevin and Yuki are getting closer. Both of them adore each other but none of them tried to say what they truly felt. Kevin is afraid that Yuki just thinks of him as a brother and savior and he feels safe around him. He doesn't want his confession pulling them apart. Meanwhile, Yuki feels unworthy of Kevin. Kevin is kind enough to provide him with everything so he couldn't ask for more.

However, no matter how hard they try to suppress their feelings, their eyes and expression can't lie when they look at the other person. It is a gaze full of love. Their daily live still going on as usual. Yuki struggling in the study. He is almost done with the first-year lesson and after getting an examination, Alex will proceed with the second-year lesson.

Kevin also still working hard like always but he never returns home after seven in the evening. He has promised Yuki that they will have dinner together every day and he won't break it. Kevin's gaze at Yuki never changed, always with his softened and gentle expressions. But unbeknownst to Yuki, he's already sent his people to dig information about Evo Organization.

However, no matter how hard Kevin's men tried, they couldn't get much information. Those people at the organization did great work in hiding their dirty work. Plus, that organization involved many big shots, including politicians. It's hard to bring them down unless he got solid proof.

Even so, that's not a big deal for someone like Kevin. Whatever he wants, he'll achieve it. Once those people have entered his blacklist, they gotta prepare their coffins. Since he can't get any information using a secret way, then he just needs to approach them openly. Sometimes, direct confrontation is better than a sneak attack.

Inside the biggest room in Tsujihara Group, it's been two hours since the CEO and one of the directors having a meeting on how to set a deal with Evo Organization.

"Isn't it weird if we suddenly want to buy their share? We did have a lot of shares in various companies but not any medical-related ones. Won't they get suspicious of us?" Raiden asked.

Continues flipping through the document, Kevin says, "They got no time to get suspicious. They're desperate for money right now. We give them money and also buy their share. They won't think much."

"But WE never offer a deal. Usually, it was vice versa. People ASKED to make a deal with us. For sure they'll be questioning our intention." Raiden can't help but worry.

Kevin sighs. "The one who will deal with them, buy their share and become their investor is not us. We'll use Hina Corp."

"Hina Corp.? You mean our subsidiary company?" Kevin nods.

Hina Corporation was actually a company that Kevin's father built for his mother. It doesn't have a big reputation like Tsujihara Group but the company itself is quite huge. Hina Corp. involves the food and hotel and tourism industries. Suits Kevin's mom who liked to cook and travel.

Hina Corp. owns two five-star hotels and two three-star hotels and also seven branches of the restaurant all over the country. The management of Hina Corp was given to someone that Kevin trusted, which is Raiden's father.

"So you're going to persuade my dad to make the deal with them?"

Kevin smirks, "No need to persuade. Once I've told him the truth about Yuki, he'll help me even without me asking for it."

Raiden rolls his eyes. Raiden's dad, Mr. James is really weak against someone who has been abused or mistreated like Yuki. A good Samaritan like him will be the first person lending his hand once he knew it.

"By the way, do you mind coming to my house this weekend? Bring your wife too." Kevin said.

"Mika? Why do you want me to bring him along?"

"I... kinda pity Yuki. He's all alone. Besides me and everyone at the mansion, he got no one else. So, I thought at least Mika could accompany him once in a while. That's why I want to introduce them."

Raiden laughs. "I thought you hate him? Why would you choose him to befriend with Yuki?"

Kevin scrunches his nose. "I do hate him but at least I could trust him. He hates me but I know with someone like Yuki, they'll be a good buddy. And I know he won't hurt Yuki."

Raiden shakes his head and smiles. "Fine. I'll tell him later. Just...don't start a fight when you meet him."

Kevin shrugs his shoulder, "Not me. He's the one who started."

After dinner, Kevin knocked on Yuki's room to tell about his friends will be coming over. "Friends?" Yuki asked.

"Hmm. He is my best friend and also he's one of the directors of the company. He'll bring along his lover. Maybe you guys can get to know each other and be friends."

"But...won't he questioned my presence here?"

Kevin caressing Yuki's head. "Don't worry. I've told him about you. He is also excited to meet you."

Yuki faintly smiles. "Alright. I'll cook something delicious for them." He excitedly said.

Kevin hums. "But no need to tire yourself out. Ask Aunty Emma to help you." Yuki nods repeatedly.

Finished saying his pieces, Kevin give a peck on top of Yuki's forehead. It was like a routine before both of them going to bed. But, before he could turn around, Yuki grabs his wrist. "C- Can't you just... sleep with me? When you're with me, I won't get any nightmares." He holds tight on Kevin's wrist. He still got nightmares on certain nights but at least if Kevin is beside him, he'll be held in a tight embrace. Kevin's lips curved. Yuki yelps when he is flung into the air and carried in a bridal style. He immediately circled his arms around Kevin's neck.

Without saying anything, Kevin carries Yuki to his room. He puts Yuki gently on the bed. Again, he pressed a kiss on top of Yuki's head. "Sleep. I have to make a call for a while." After Kevin went out of the room, Yuki tucks himself under the quilt. He moves to the center part of the bed, so he could lay closer to Kevin later.

When Kevin entered his room, Yuki already fell asleep. He walks on tiptoe, avoids making any noise. He lays down on the bed then scoops Yuki into his arms, hugging him tightly. Feels the warmth, Yuki snuggles closer. Kevin fell asleep with a big smile on his face.

The weekend arrived and today Raiden will come over with his lover, Mika. Yuki had been since early morning, baking and also prepping the ingredients for lunch. They rarely had a guest coming over so Yuki decided to welcome and treat them properly. Besides, they're Kevin's friends so he needs to show some of his good points.

Kevin walking to the kitchen. He can only sigh when he saw Yuki is busy mixing the batter. "Yuki... No need to make so much for them. It's not like they haven't eaten for a year. You'll tire yourself." He stands beside Yuki, pulling his hands away from the mixer.

"It's fine. They're our guests and also your friends. My mom said always make our guest feels at home." Kevin is about to retort but Yuki cuts his words. "Besides, I rarely get a chance to make something like this. Usually, you, Aunty Emma and Uncle Robert become a tester for all my cooking so I can't make much. Since today we got a lot of people in the house, I can bake and cook to my heart content."

Yuki used his secret weapon, round puppy eyes and little pout. When Kevin saw this, he knew he was defeated. He pinched Yuki's cheeks. "Alright. But where's Aunty Emma? Ask for her help. Don't do everything on your own."

"She went to the garden just now. Looking for Uncle Robert, I guess." Kevin ruffled his hair then leaves the kitchen, watching the TV in the living room.

A few hours later, the sounds of a car engine entering the mansion's ground attract Kevin and Yuki's attention. Kevin had told the guard to let them in when they came that's why no doorbell sounds. Kevin walks to the front door followed by Yuki. He feels a little bit compared to the first time he met Alex. Maybe because Kevin regards the persons who came over as his closest person so Yuki feels like he needs to show his good points to be accepted by them.

As soon as Kevin open the door, two guys entered and greet him. The taller one looks mature but seems kind. The shorter one had a poker face and feels like he hates Kevin, as they're glaring at each other when their eyes met.

Kevin clears his throat. He pulls Yuki by the waist. "Let me introduce you guys. Raiden, this is Yuki. Yuki, this is my best friend, Raiden and this is his wife, Mika." When he introduced Mika, he looks at Yuki and didn't spare a glance at Mika.

Raiden smiles, he reached out his hand for a handshake and Yuki grabs with both of his hands. He bows, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Raiden. I'm Yuki."

Raiden chuckles. "Just Raiden. Mister sounds old. I'm almost the same age as Kevin. Nice to meet you too."

Yuki nods repeatedly. Then he turns to the blond guy beside Raiden. Kevin stares in awe. The guy named Mika is so enchanting. When he smiles, he looks so sexy!

"Hi, Yuki! I'm Mika. Nice to meet you."

Yuki was flustered. He quickly reached out for Mika's hand. "N- Nice to meet you too. I'm Yuki." He stutters.

"Hey... what's wrong? Scared of him?" Kevin asked while smirking at Mika.

"N- No. He's so beautiful." Yuki's answer makes Mika returns the smirk to Kevin. Raiden just shakes his head. 'It's starting...'

While Mika tagging along with Yuki to the kitchen, Kevin and Raiden went to the living room. "So...how?" Kevin asked.

"My dad will do it. They'll prepare all the documents as soon as possible and right next week, they'll meet with Evo Organization." Raiden said.

"Nice. Let's invest in their project as much as they want. Ask your dad to agree on whatever terms and also amount that they want." Kevin said flatly like he's buying groceries at the supermarket.

"Are you sure? What if their condition is... a bit different from usual?" Raiden raised his left eyebrows.

"100% sure. Yuki told me, usually the main or largest investor will be brought to their company and given a 'special service'. I'd like to know what kind of 'service' they'll give. It is better if we bump into those politicians when we're there."

Raiden sighs. He knows, once the enemy lets Kevin into their lair, they can no longer escape from him. Kevin for sure will dig everything to the root and slowly destroy everything.

Meanwhile, Mika is fascinated with Yuki's skills. He can cook but doesn't like baking. "Where did you learn to do all this?" Mika asked while munching the macarons made by Yuki.

"Well, a long time ago I used to bake with my mom. But now, Aunty Emma always helps me."

Mika nods. "What are you doing right now? I mean, job or study?"

"Study. Kevin let me take homeschooled as I've missed high school." Mika makes an 'O'. "What about you, Mika?"

"Me? I have my own business. I started a fashion designing company. That's why you can see, I'm a bit glamorous in dressing." Yuki nods agreeing.

Mika looks around then leans closer to Yuki. He whispers, "Are you alright staying here?"

Yuki tilts his head and blinks repeatedly. "Ye- yeah. I'm alright." He doesn't know why Mika asked such things.

"That guy didn't do anything to you?" He squinted.

Yuki shakes his head vigorously. Now he understands what Mika meant. "Kevin never did anything to me. He's really kind. He provides me with everything. Without him, I don't know how miserable my life would be right now." Yuki smiles faintly. He believes in Kevin. No matter how much people keep saying that Kevin is not a good guy, he'll still defend him. He knows the real Kevin.

Mika shrugs his shoulders. Both of them head to the living room, join the other two. Mika keeps praising how good Yuki is in baking. He can't stop eating whatever Yuki made. Suddenly he turns to Yuki and Kevin. He smirks.

"Yuki, can you sleep soundly at night? I mean, you didn't hear any noise...like someone's panting or moaning..." Kevin grits his teeth. Oblivious Yuki just shakes his head.

"Oh yeah... I forgot. Kevin never brings his partner home. He'll go straight to the hotel and return home late at night. So Yuki, don't worry. I guess you won't have to accidentally see some X-rated scenes early in the morning." Mika scoffs.

Ignoring Mika, Kevin turns to Yuki. With a gentle smile, he asks, "Yuki, I always return home early right? And every night I always at home, right?" Yuki nods repeatedly. "Of course I have to be at home. I got someone cooking for me. How could I miss it?" Now, his turn to sneer.

"Poor my friend. When he got home, his partner is still outside busy with his work. No time to cook for him. Less time spent together. Raiden, I wonder where you always have your dinner? Home delivery? Restaurant? Or.... you got someone else cooks for you?"

Mika clenches his pants. While gritting his teeth, he said, "Yuki, someone so kind like you, how could you stay with someone like him? You're so pure, innocent, kind-hearted. *sighs*"

Kevin rubs his stubble. "Yeah. I wonder that too."

Mika looks at him in disbelief. How could Kevin agree when Mika is dissing him.

"I wonder how someone so kind like Raiden can live with someone like Mika."
