A Bet

Richard explained hurriedly, "Here's what happened: I was worried about Cecilia after the car accident, so I brought her home to take care of her.

"Cecilia has shown no signs of waking up.

"The doctors have examined her, and there's nothing wrong with her.

"All her vital signs are normal, but she won't wake up.

"Master Howard, you're the only one who can save my daughter now. Please help me. I'll pay you any amount of money!"

Every parent was admirable.

Richard was a real estate magnate, but he still treated his only daughter like any other parent would.

Clarence consoled Richard as he stopped a taxi. "Mr. Shelby, don't panic. I'll come over to check her out."

"Okay."

Richard placed all his hopes on Clarence.

Half an hour later, Clarence arrived at Cecilia's villa.

There were three ambulances parked outside. As Clarence entered the villa, he felt a chill. It was as if he had stepped into an ice cellar.
