My diary system in Marvel

After transmigrating into the Marvel universe, Luke had awaken the Diary Entry System. As long as whoever that holds the diary believes and trusts in what was written, then Luke would be rewarded by his system. The stronger the trust value, the better the rewards. Editor note: Hello guys! I am not the author, nor am I a translator of this fanfic. I am simply a normal guy heavily editing an MTL of the raw "People are writing diaries in Marvel, and the Avengers are all confused". I saw some others on this app who are attempting to edit the chapters, such as "Elephas" or "BlackGoku222" but I find their edits rather lackluster. And since I am interested in reading this further, I thought i'd do the rest of us a favor of putting out my edited version of the MTL. Please note that the characters will be slightly AU. If you think that my edited version is different from the original or other versions, you would be right as I included my own elements and removed some extra information in order to try to make the story as congruent as possible. Honestly guys, the MTL is so confusing. Lastly, I will TRY my best to make this story as readable as humanely possible, but no promises for a 5-star edit as my English language was only a B3. And thanks for taking the time to read this! (Gib me cookies/stones please) (Cover pic by Nariva Amynia on DevianArt. This is not an original work, I own absolutely nothing except my own deviations to the original fanfiction!)

~ With Fury ~

At the conclusion of the first diary entry, Fury breathed a sigh of relief. He could not have predicted for the contents of the first entry to be this shocking. In the entry, someone with the moniker of Conqueror had been defeated along with an organization known as the TVA, yet countless of them appeared in the end. Fury had never heard of any TVA in existence, nor did he know if the Conquerors were the same person, or if they were individuals who had earned themselves the moniker of 'Conqueror'. Fury also concluded that the monsters that appeared at the end should have been the same ones as the monsters that were mentioned during the battle at the heart of New York. But what truly worried Fury, was the mention of 'Cosmic Beings'.

'Cosmic Beings? Who, no, what are they?' Fury wondered. Throughout the Earth's history, there were many stories of Extraterrestrial or Godly beings descending towards the Earth. An example would be that of the Greek or Norse mythology. 'Thor and Loki. Are they the ones from the legends in the Norse? Are they the same as these Cosmic Beings? No, that should not be possible. If they were, they would have been able to put up a fight against these Cosmic Beings. From what the diary had shown, just the mere presence of these beings had caused the end of the world. It would seem that of all the adversaries that Luke and this team of Avengers faced, these Cosmic Beings were the true end-game adversary. The final boss. And if Godly beings such as Thor and Loki fell so easily, then what chance do we stand?' Under such daunting thoughts, Fury began compartmentalizing the various information that he could get from the diary.

Fury started by dividing the names and known entities into different categories. Luke, Bruce, Tony, Natasha, Clint, Conqueror, Mad Titan, Wanda, Pietro, Steve, among others. After much thought, Fury separated the names Tony, Pietro, and Steve from the rest. He believed that if what the diary stated was true, then these three should have been the firsts to have either been the retired or the fallen.

(See editor's note 1 for this segment)

Next, Fury thought about the names of the people who formed the Avengers. Aside from Luke, Fury could only make initial assessments about who the members were. For instance, since only Fury should have known about the Avengers Initiative, it can be assumed that the Avengers were made from the people that he would have approved of. In that case, the Natasha and Clint mentioned should be those of Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton. Hawkeye can also be easily associated with Clint due to his remarkable marksmanship with his chosen weapon, a Bow. At this realization, Fury decided to include the name of Laura Barton and Natasha into the earlier separated list, but he wrote down a question mark at the side of both names. Fury knew that there could only be two possible candidates for who the death of 'her' belonged to. The question now was who among these two had fallen.

As for Steve, Thor, Bruce, and Tony? Fury had entertained the thought of Steve being Steve Rogers, however he had immediately ignored that thought as he believed the captain to be dead. Thor was most likely to be the same Thor from the Norse Mythology, whereas he had no clue as to who Bruce and Tony was. Just as he was about to delve deeper into his musings, he heard a knock on his office door. Giving his permission for the person to enter, he saw that the owner of the knock on his door was none other than Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow.

"Is there something you need, Agent Romanoff?" Fury asked. Taking measured steps into the office, Natasha noticed the same golden-black diary in Fury's hands that she also had possession of.

"There is sir, but it would seem that you are well aware of it." Immediately making the connections, Natasha showed Fury her own copy of the diary. She had conducted her own tests on the diary and had come to the same conclusion as Fury. Only the holder of the diary is able to see the diary, and she could not talk about the particular existence nor the contents of the diary with others, lest she wanted to feel the touch of death. She could mention of a golden-black diary, however she could not say what the diary specifically was.

Seeing that they both were able to see each other's copy of the diary, they further established that communication between diary holders was possible.

"Apart from you, are there anyone else in the other departments who have knowledge or ownership of a copy of this diary? Agent Barton perhaps?" Fury started. At his question, Natasha shook her head as she responded, "Not that I know of sir. As for Clint? I just came from running different tests for the diary with him before coming to see you. He is not a holder like us. And when I tried to speak about the diary or the contents, it felt as if the shadow of the grimm reaper was watching over me. The last time that I had this feeling was during my training in the Red Room." Taking a moment to let her words sink in, Natasha continued, "Sir, if what was written in the diary is to be believed, then what is our next course of action?".

- End of Chapter 3 -

Editor's note 1: It's not really explained in the fanfiction, BUT it is assumed that there was other information that is being glossed over from the diary entries. In such assumptions, it is highly possible that Luke had written about the situation with Steve and Tony, but we as the 4th wall readers don't get to read about it. So please don't worry too much about 'wait the fanfiction didn't talk about Steve or Tony's death and stuff so how could Fury make these conclusions?' Just assume that if the characters are talking about it or make conclusions like these, then it WAS talked about in the diary, but we just don't get to read about it.)
