"Light up the room!"

Rose stood still for a second, confused about what was happening and afraid of the creature in front of her as she channeled her mana into her hands and released a wave of fire.

She focused on the volume rather than the heat, resulting her in illuminating the room without setting anything on fire.

Jayce had expected the sudden flash so he closed his eyes, but Nightmare wasn't. He felt pain spread across his body as the curse let out a wail.

The scarf extended and hardened, knocking Rose into the wall while it simultaneously grabbed the two swords it dropped.

Not fully understanding what was happening, Rose was late to react as she was flung into the wall, blocking the scarf with her forearm.

By the time she looked back up, Nightmare was gone along with Jayce.

'What the fuck was that?'
