Gaining favour
Klaus and the others walked back to the camp with their spoils packed up in a sack they brought along. The kids although terrified earlier had broad smiles on their faces like they had just gone out for a party. This was because they knew they had gotten a whole lot more than they had bargained for easily on both ends. And while it all ended well, for some the day was not complete.
"I still wasn't able to get the soul energy from the beasts. And if my guess is correct, that was exactly what Shaw went off to do. He was weak before running off but when he came back, he was sharper than ever. Does it mean the soul energy after being extracted grants that much instant power? That would mean a lot for demons that do it constantly," Klaus thought inwardly as they approached the camp and he could hear noises and the roof of the cabins situated all around.
