Bleu's Domain: Cooking

Bleu's domain.

Sitting in front of us was a joyous looking elf-- high elf. She was all smiles, humming as she practiced cooking in a make-shift open-styled kitchen Bleu brought into existence. Together with her was Prune.

Bleu did say that it would take the latest info on the body and then bring it to this world-- which basically means that Prune was feeling sick all over. With Bleu's magic however, it was cured in an instant..

Hold up. We could've just asked Liliath to cure Prune in the real world couldn't we?

When I asked LIliath about it, she said she forgot that she could do so.

Damn fuck! How dumb were we again?

As for the current venue, we're at some open beach area with a single modern, open-style house with glass as the make-up of the majority of the walls. It's built in such a way that makes the outside feel like it's part of the stay, cuz the entrance doesn't have a door and you can literally see the bedrooms from here.. which is weird.

The kitchen where the high elf and Prune was cooking was separate from the house. You had to cross a sandy beach.

"One day for sure," Liliath leaned against my chest.

"Yeah. It'll be a while."

I heard her sigh.

Honestly speaking, I don't know how to accommodate Liliath until we get married. Kissing, cuddling-- but anything past that is banned-- for now.

At the same time, I heard that the moment a couple starts to touch each other, say starting with holding hands-- they would take on the next step which is linking arms-- then hugging-- then kissing-- then cuddling-- and the likelihood of them doing 'that' increases significantly because it's the 'next step'. Which is why it is not advisable for teen couples to hold hands.

Liliath and I have already reached the second last phase.

A very dangerous phase.

"I'm coming down now."

"Okay," I loosened my grip on her waist as she slowly made her way down from my lap.

The sky was dark, with loosely hanging electric lanterns illuminating the beach side. A large table set up in centre of the sandy beach, flowers and glassware to top it off--

Oh, did I mention that we were going to have a small feast tonight? For what reason? To fill up Prune's empty stomach-- it won't reflect in the real world of course. But it's a sign that Prune is hungry since she skipped dinner.

Liliath went to the sea and dipped her toes into the cold tea.

Tea?

Yes. It's a sea of tea, not salt water.

"Liliath-- don't drink it alright?"

"Bleu said it was fine though?"

"At least.. take the ones further offshore.." I'm sure Liliath is in paradise. I think the tea is your typical earl grey. I didn't dare to try it-- and I couldn't think of anything that matched the woody colour of it.

I saw a large mass of tea rise into the air…

Liliath took out the walkie-talkie from her pocket with her free hands. She pressed the trigger and spoke.

"Bleu, could you.."

"On the way Liliath!"

Heh.. mind reading sure is convenient. It even works at a remote distance.

A large container-glass thing with a tap appeared out of nowhere. Liliath moved the mass of tea from the sea into the container.

Well.. looks like our beverage is decided.

"Bleu, there's no weird creatures in the ocean right?" I asked using my walkie-talkie.

"Nope. Bzzt. Not at all. Not even a single microorganism can be found on this bzzt island," came the reply.

What a lonely place.

I turned to look towards the direction of the accommodation-- the second floor where Nine and Bleu were gazing towards-- the ocean on the other side. Their legs dangling dangerously at the ledge, the veranda had no side rails.

I don't really know what happened to Nine. Bleu was there to console her-- him.. whichever.

"Noel," Liliath called.

"Yeah?"

"Your personal opinions on the demon lord?"

"Nope. Not taking her in."

"I meant her beauty."

"Why are you asking me that? You're cuter of course."

"That's.. not what I meant."

If you're wondering what we did after that? We wrapped her up as a package and sent her to the post office-- just kidding. Her horns weren't disappearing so it's impossible to just bring her back to her room with the other stalker-cum-maid.

After the wedding ceremony buffett-- which by the way, Liliath and Nine managed to eat some crazy good food-- Nine went to notify the demon lord's stalker-accomplice that she would not be with her for the night.

There's a lot we still don't know about the situation-- and that demon lord is having a real deep sleep. Even after Liliath gave her two good, CRISP, slaps, she didn't wake up. She's totally alive alright? I just couldn't figure out the logic behind how she didn't react even though two very red handprints are now stuck to her face.

Hm.. wouldn't want to be her alright.

"Laura-sama might know something," Liliath said.

"Possibly."

The two of us walked over to the open kitchen-- there were plates upon plates of food. Red lobster in cream sauce, salmon grilled with a smear of tomato puree, eggs benedicts with a lot of cheese and runny egg yellow, garlic bread with truffle, and three coloured souffle with macarons.

What the hell is this.. did the two really cook this..

"What do you think? Jiwon-san would be proud if I could reproduce this meal wouldn't he?"

"I-I don't know anymore.." Prune looked like she was going to pass out.

"Wait-- who cooked this."

""She,"" the two of them pointed at each other.

"What do you mean, me? You were the one who did the eggs and the baking of the lobsters?"

"You were the one guiding me. And you even created the entire macaron souffle yourself."

"You made the cream for the macaroon."

"Let's come to the conclusion that you two create an amazing synergy," Liliath clapped her hands.

"Yeah.."

Laura and Prune looked at each other and nodded.

Looks like only Liliath and I know the truth then huh?

I wonder when Nine stuck the skill onto them-- [Cooking (SSS)].

Liliath and I moved the plate to the table. A soft breeze blew, pulling up Liliath's skirt a little.

"Nine, Bleu, the food is ready, over," I said.

"Roger that, over," Bleu replied.

From this distance, you could see Bleu shaking Nine by the shoulder quite vigorously. After a while, they got up, took the stairs down and came in our direction. By then, Prune and Laura-san had finished cleaning up.

"Noel-sama, is it alright if Jiwon-san is given the permission to be brought into this temporary world?"

"Maybe.. but this is Bleu's domain so it's better to ask her.."

"Permission denied," Bleu said.

"Forgive me," Laura-san apologized.

"I know you have good intentions but there's a one month long contract going on, and it's advisable that he stays away from them four for now."

"I understand."

"Quite the deplorable elf you are, to ask for a pass for Jiwon-san and not Moirae-san."

Laura-san looked away, probably to hide her shame or whatever.

The meal started-- tea was served.

I was right. It's earl grey tea. I had to add my own sugar and ice to balance the flavor. Overall, it's nice--

As for the food-- I'm blown away.

Okay. I'm dead serious when I say this but [Cooking(SSS)] might be one of the most overpowered skills out there. The food is so good, one could eat themselves to death, and that is by no exageration. Laura-san skipped her manners and started to even lick the remnant sauce directly off the plate.

I had to really hold myself back.

Liliath kept requesting Prune to make her a glass after glass after glass.. of tea. Only when the skill was removed from her column did Liliaths stop-- and with a funny expression at that.

"So, how are you getting along with Jiwon-san? Are you winning or Moirae-san winning?"

"We came to a compromise."

"Oh? You won? She decided to go back?"

Laura-san nodded.

"What if she brings him over to that side?"

"How could.. that's impossible isn't it?!"

"She's tricking you.. a ploy perhaps,"

"That crappy goddess," the high elf grounded her teeth.

God damn. So this is the so-called carnage caused by harems huh? An absolute nightmare… from my standpoint at least.

I glanced at Liliath. She looked back at me. Our gazes intersected.

"That's why I don't want a harem."

"That looks rather fun though?"

"W-Wha.."

What is with that logic..

"Are you really appalled by having a second wife?"

"Yes. Seriously.."

I'd be worried sick if this sort of conflict happens… not that I would ever allow it.

"Laura-san, can we have some of your time," Nine raised her voice.

"A-Ah yes.."

"Go on, on go," Bleu nudged.

"Question. What is your opinion of a demon lord?"

"Demon lord? I.." Laura-san thought for a moment, "I hate them."

"Great," Nine flooped to the cushion of her seat.

"You can't give up so soon, can you now, Nine?" Bleu said.

"Rinalanashina. Do you know who she is?"

"Rinalanashina? That is.. if i remember correctly that is one of the monarchs wives--"

Liliath spat her tea.

"U-Uh.. Liliath are you al-right.." I stroked her back. She continued coughing.

"The fish.." Prune looked on with horror-- what? Don't tell me she wanted to lick off that plate too?!

"Rinalana.. shina is demon lord Javiel's wife?" Liliath asked.. shuddering.

Laura-san nodded.

"No.. that can't…"

"It's the truth."

"Since the plotline has changed now, what are the chances of the two meeting?" Nine asked.

"Who knows," I continued to stroke Liliath's back.

"His wife.. his wife.." Liliath kept muttering.. I don't know why I didn't find that fact more of a shock than everyone else.

"Liliath," whatever it is, I brought her into my arms. She pressed her head tight on my shoulders, her body shuddered every so often.

"Noel, good luck," Bleu said.

"Good luck with what?"

"You'll know soon enough."

And.. fuck.

Let's be honest here, I'm really done and confused with this series anymore. With the freedom of college and the bygone days of being stressed out at home where I have to listen and comply with my family schedule-- I don't know if I should continue writing anymore. Maybe I'm just experiencing those times of lull but.. with the end of the year coming and how I have to plan my goals for next year.. I kinda wonder if writing should continue to be a priority. I just remembered a deeper reason to why I started to write, I wanted to create an asset-- to earn money-- a book. And through this process, I came to realize that shit won't work cuz I'm selfish-- and come to realize the only driving force behind my writing is generosity. I don't think I could've made it this far if I didn't know there were people anticipating my work (it's very different from art where people just give it a glance and go 'oh, nice art'). Well, in a sense, to say once again. Thank you. Thank you for your support, thank you for reading this, and I'll stay commited to completing this series. Hopefully I'll continue writing for you'al-- even after this series comes to an end.
