CHAPTER 33: ACADEMY ENTRANCE (2)

Licol academy is a huge castle covering a fifth of the city. It has four enormous buildings tall enough to be called giants as well as diverse facilities. When they reach the gate of the academy, a huge bald man holding an iron staff stood in front of them. He is the daytime gatekeeper.

“Purpose.”

As none of them is wearing the academy uniform or anything representative that would distinguish them, the gatekeeper understands they are not students.

“Enrolling as students. And for her,” Lekas shows Melka behind him with his hand, “Enrolling as teacher.” Lekas answered the same way he was asked, without unnecessary remarks or greetings.

“Entrance exam, white facility. Follow right path with blue lines.”

The gatekeeper gives them simple instructions on how to reach the facility used for the entrance exam. Lekas slightly bows to the gatekeeper and enters the academy. As they are walking on the indicated path, Seraphin suddenly stops.

“Wait.”

“What is it this time?”
