chapter seventy three

when he got to know where Joan was he headed there but he saw Joan with Callum and she was smiling, it seemed everything was going on perfectly, he just watched them and maybe they were the right match.

but was Joan really smiling

for the past year and half, Joan had been searching non stop, she felt guilty and she was heartbroken for being the reason of pain for the man she claims she loves.

that day she forced a smile because she had seen how hard it had been for them all, each one of them have their own burden of what had happened to Nick, each one of them took a blame. Callum had been trying to cheer her up during the period because he was worried about her, she faked it to assure him that she was fine so he shouldn't bother and that was what Nick saw.

when Nick saw them they were at a coffee shop, what didn't help the situation was before Nick could see Joan and Callum he overheard Leticia and her friends right outside the coffee shop showing their displeasure at how they think Joan is enjoying the company of Callum rather than looking for Nick

"how dare she, how could Nick love her so much, he's been missing for a year and she hasn't even tried to help look for him" Leticia said and they left

Nick looked and she was smiling, she was happy without him.

"do you even think of me, do you ever think of me, have you ever thought of me" he asked Joan these questions in his mind.

when they got out of the coffee shop he followed them

"Joan just once, just once turn towards me, and I will run back to you, just once and I will forget everything, just once... am right behind you, just turn and fix my heart..., once.... just once" he pleaded but she never turned

"let's go Nick, your wound just opened" Alice said

indeed he was walking through the pain

his heart ached.

the moment he turned away from Joan she turned her head but they were gone.

Nick sat in the Hospital feeling nothing,

Alice and Bruce took him home and he just stayed indoor, hurting

"pain, please let me go. memories, please release me. heart ache, please free me now,

please bury me or let me bury you, please set me free, I can't take it anymore,

"love" you never told me you come with pain or you did but I Ignored because she was there and when she's here nothing else matters but now she's not I can't take it.

I tried to stay strong and endure but I can't, I really tried but it's too much to handle, if today is my last day to breath, please let me breath it free from all these miseries you put me through.
