What A Long Day

Leah was the only one speaking throughout the conversation, Liam barely listen to her, his gaze was on his phone, he was playing games, she didn't mind doing the whole talking, and the waitress arrived with their food. She positions it gently on the table, bowed, and left.

"Let's eat," he spoke up. Liam sips his wine before picking up the fork and knife to slice his steaks. Leah was eating smoothly, with no sound of the fork cracking the plate, she cleans her mouth every time she eats, she wants to leave a good impression on him. He found her uneventful and more of a puppet that is being told what to do, she can't even be herself, this thought made him remember Heemani, she was the definition of living your life to the fullest.

Leah ate just five spoons of the veggies, she drank the cup of water "Thanks for the food, Young Master Smith" she said sweetly. Liam didn't respond instead he replied with a nod.

"I don't want to gain weight, that's why am watchful of what I eat" she explained with a giggle. Liam didn't reply because he didn't ask her about her diet, it was none of his business. She sips water out of embarrassment.

The date will determine whether they will go further or not, Liam finished his food, he signaled Alfred who was drinking his wine to come, Alfred stand up with immediate effect "Yes Young Master" he bowed.

"Go pay for the food and let's leave," he said. Alfred bowed and left to pay for the food.

Leah was curious "Where are we going, next to Young Master?"

"The date is over," he said coldly. Leah looks disappointed thinking she didn't make a good impression on Liam "Okay" she said with no objection.

Liam remembered his old master will trouble him more if the date doesn't end well, he doesn't want any drama "Leah, don't worry there will be many occasions like this in the future" he assured her even though he didn't mean it.

Leah's face lit up, "I will look forward to it" she blushed.

Alfred arrives "Time to leave Young Master" he bowed. Liam and Leah stand up, she picked up her handbag, and Alfred leads them out. They left the restaurant and went to Frederick's Mansion to drop Leah off.

It getting late, Terry make sure Ezra stayed throughout the day, he was used to using his charm to lure people in doing what he wants. Ezra was watching a movie with Terry on his laptop, he didn't realize that time has gone, Terry indeed helped him to forget all his worries and he was grateful for that.

Ezra pick his phone from the bed to check what the time was "Oh my God!" he exclaimed.

"What wrong?" Terry asked him. Ezra stood up from the bed "I have to go now, my sister will already be waiting for me at the hotel" he said in hurry. Terry didn't stop him this time "I will drop you off" he volunteered.

"Let go, right now," Ezra said, they both left Ezra's mansion for the hotel.

They arrived at Frederick's mansion, Alfred alight from the car, and he opened the car door for Leah. She faced Liam "Thanks for today, I hope you don't mind a drink," she said trying to invite him inside.

"It's late already, I have somewhere to go, maybe another time" he declined. Leah nodded understandably, she alights from the car, Alfred close the door and returned to the driver's seat, "Where to boss?" he asked Liam.

"Dr. Mo's hospital" he ordered. Alfred starts the car, he drove off. Alfred knew Liam hate visiting the hospital, but why is he going against his normal self because of the lady?

Terry and Ezra arrive at the hotel, "Thank you so much for today" Ezra appreciates. Ezra was about to alight from the car, Terry placed his hand on Ezra's thigh, he make a move to kiss him but Ezra opposed "I think I should get going" Ezra said and alight from the car, he close the car door and went inside the hotel without looking back.

"I will make you mine," he thought with determination. Terry drove off at a high speed.

Ezra asked his colleagues that know Heemani but none of them has seen her, he looked worried, and he went outside of the hotel to call her but her number wasn't reachable, he called Sarah immediately.

Sarah was peeling tangerine for Heemani "Here, eat as much as you want" she handed over the peeled tangerine to her. Heemani accepts the tangerine from her "You are so sweet" she compliments her.

Sarah's phone vibrates, she stands up and picks up the phone from her trouser, she checked the phone screen to check who the caller was "EZRA!" Her face froze in disbelief.

"Why are you frightened?" Heemani asked. "Pick it up," she said boldly and continue sucking her tangerine.

Sarah summoned her courage topic the call "H...hello" her voice cracked as she speaks.

"Where is Heemani," Ezra asked in an impatient tone.

"Ezra, everything is fine, just take a taxi and come to Global Health Hospital," Sarah said calmly.

"What happened to my sister" he cried out.

"She was involved in a little accident, but she is fine, start coming now" Sarah assured him. Heemani signaled Sarah to hand over the phone to her, Sarah hand it over "Ezra, am fine now" Heemani said and hung up.

Ezra ran toward the road, he stopped a taxi and enters the taxi "Global Health Hospital" he said in an emergency tone. The last person Ezra can't afford to lose is his precious little sister, the only person left for him.

At Mr. Park's restaurant, it is late already, and it was time for them to go home, none of them could go home because they hadn't received a call from Sarah, Mr. Park has visited the restroom more than five times out of tension.

"Call Sarah, so we can know how she is?" the head of the chef suggested.

The thought of calling her didn't cross their mind before the chef suggested it. Mr. Park dialed Sarah's number, his hand was trembling, and he was terrified.

"Hello Mr. Park, am sorry for not giving you a call" she apologized.

"How is Heemani?" he asked, his voice shaking.

"It was a minor accident, she is out of danger now, everyone can stop by tomorrow to check up on her" she assured.

Mr. Park sighed in relief "Thank you so much, we will all come tomorrow" he said and hung up.

"She is safe" he informed them. They all jumped up out of excitement. The day wasn't a productive one for the restaurant, they close and everyone went to their various houses. What a long day.
