Chapter 5

"What are you doing here, Dr. Sherman?" Clef asked with curiosity in his tone.

"I heard you lost SCP 239, so I came to help, nothing more," Sherman replied.

"And you, Bright?"

"Same. Do you have any clues?" Bright asked.

"Outside of the fact that she isn't in the country, no," Clef replied.

"That is a problem indeed," Sherman said.

"However, that can wait for now. Site 16 asked for assistance. Let's go," Clef said as he continued walking, with Bright and Sherman following him.

Back with Adrian, a week later.

"Finally, tests are over!" Adrian exclaimed as he walked along the school compound with Shaheem and Daniel to his left and right.

"It's about time. I was getting bored of tests," Shaheem replied.

"Yeah, and now I can go home and relax," Adrian said with a sigh.

"Hey, Adrian."

"Yes, Sigurrós?" Adrian asked, looking over to Sigurrós.

Sigurrós was seated on his shoulder, wearing a light blue shirt and a pair of jeans shorts, and was wearing a pair of black Air Forces.

"Can we get ice cream?" Sigurrós asked, her eyes sparkling.

"You want ice cream? Why not," Adrian said, smiling.

"Yay!"

"Alright then, let's go," Adrian said as he started to walk again.

"Adrian, you shouldn't spoil her too much," Shaheem said.

"I'm not spoiling her," Adrian said defensively.

"Really now," Daniel said with a teasing expression.

"You shut your mouth," Adrian said.

"Hey! I'm being attacked here!" Shaheem said in a fake hurt tone.

"Shut up," Adrian said with a grin on his face.

As they continued to walk, they reached the car park and Adrian took out his key to open the car. They all got in, and Adrian started the car and drove out of the school compound.

They arrived at an ice cream parlor a short drive away. Adrian parked the car, and everyone got out, heading inside.

"Wow, so many flavors!" Sigurrós exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement as she looked at the display.

"Pick whatever you want, Sigurrós," Adrian said, smiling down at her.

"Okay!" Sigurrós said, practically bouncing with excitement.

After a few moments of deliberation, Sigurrós chose a double scoop of strawberry and chocolate in a waffle cone. Adrian got himself a vanilla sundae, while Shaheem and Daniel opted for mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream, respectively.

They all sat down at a table, enjoying their ice cream.

"So, what are your plans now that tests are over?" Shaheem asked.

"I'm thinking of taking it easy for a bit," Adrian replied.

As they chatted, Sigurrós happily licked her ice cream, clearly enjoying herself. Adrian watched her with a fond smile.

Later, back at Adrian's house, they settled in for the evening. Sigurrós was watching TV on the couch, her eyes glued to a cartoon show. Adrian sat beside her, reading a book. The room was filled with a comfortable silence, broken only by the sounds of the TV.

Adrian hummed as a thought came to him. "Hey, Sigurrós, how much have the researchers taught you about your abilities?"

Sigurrós looked up from the TV, her expression turning thoughtful. "Not a lot. They only gave me a short list of spells to use."

"I see."

'These people are teetering on the line of smart and dumb.'

"Okay, Sigurrós, follow me for a sec."

Adrian got up and walked out of the room, with Sigurrós following closely behind. After a few minutes of walking through my house, he then stopped at a door which he casually opened. Stepping into the room revealed a large white room. The room was spacious and empty. Walking into the room, Adrian and Sigurrós stood in the center.

"Okay, Sigurrós, show me what spells they allowed you to use."

Then Sigurrós showed me some basic abilities most reality manipulators could do: things like creating something and then making it disappear (erasing it) and creating elements.

"I see. Wanna see something cool?"

"Yes!" Sigurrós exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

Adrian smiled as he raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The entire room transformed. The room went from a white room to space, with planets, suns, and stars. It was as if they weren't in the room anymore. The massive celestial bodies floated around them.

Sigurrós gasped, her eyes wide with wonder. "This is amazing!"

Adrian chuckled. "I'm glad you like it. You can do things like this too, and I'm going to teach you."
