"I want to know about his family and where do they live"

Ace declared as he glanced at Valent with a wicked smile.

And in an instant, all the proud look on Valent's face disappeared and was replaced by shock and fear.

"No, no wait! It was between you and me, I was the one who offended you. You can do whatever you want with me, but you must not bring my family into it!" Valent shouted in panic.

No matter how despicable he was, but if he was sure to die, he would rather not take his family along with him to the road to the underworld.

"Yeah, that's the look I was talking about… good. Now, if you kowtow and beg to me, I might consider leaving your family out of this" Ace offered with a generous smile.

Hearing those words, the black-robed men shivered.

"Lord Ace, I am begging you, please keep my family out of this, in exchange, you can torture me however you like, or use me however you like. I'll be your slave if you want but please, please leave my family out of all this" Valent begged earnestly.

"Hmm... Though you did a good job, I am still not satisfied yet… alright, stand up and repeat the words you just said and I'll keep my promise" Ace said as he stretched his arms leisurely.

Hearing those words, Valent's eyes opened wide as he glanced at Ace with shock and disbelief. He couldn't even move his legs properly, how was he supposed to stand? That's completely impossible! But though enraged, he didn't burst out and remained calm while he tried to stand up.

'I just have to bear with the pain for a little while, I am a proud warrior, I can do this!' Thinking that, Valent shifted his body, but he had underestimated the role of knees in the body, no matter how much he tried, he couldn't stand up but felt excruciating pain all over his legs instead.

But, no matter how much pain he felt, he didn't give up and continued to try and stand up before falling again and trying again.

Seeing this scene, Ace smiled even more, no one would actually believe that the hero of this novel was Ace.

While Valent kept trying, Ace was already bored so he declared, "Alright, I gave you a chance but you didn't grab it. Now all of you, one chance, tell me about his family and you all can live"

Hearing those words, black-robed men came out of their reverie, while Valent's face paled in fear.

But contrary to Ace and Valent's expectation, no one came out. No, it wasn't that the black-robed men were touched by Valent's determination, it was just that the only person who knew about Valent's family was already killed by Ace.

Realizing this, Valent's face regained its color as he laughed heartedly, "Hahaha! Ace Vorste! I knew the gods didn't abandon me! You won't ever know about my family! So what if you kill me here today? I am sure your end will be far worse than me, no far worse than anyone in this world! Hahaha!

Ace muttered as he glanced at the black-robed men and with the wave of his hand, 10 wind blades appeared simultaneously, beheading 10 heads at the same time, leaving behind only 3 individuals, Valent, Quer, and another black-robed man.

Quer, Valent, and even the black-robed man himself were surprised how he survived before crimson flames appeared around him, engulfing him and burning him alive. As slowly as possible.

"AAAAGGHHHHHH!!"

Under these screams, Quer finally realized that he was the man who asked about his chance with Ace's Maeve after Valent was done, and realizing that A shiver ran through Quer's spine.

Doesn't that mean Ace was here when they were planning everything?

How terrifying this man actually was?

Ace completely ignored Quer's gaze and he walked towards Valent, "What the hell are you laughing about? Others might now know about your family, but you do right?" Ace smirked.

"Heh! You think I wil-"

Without bothering with him, Ace grabbed a black-colored, snake-shaped artifact from his storage ring and attached it to Valent, the artifact shined and Valent's body was sucked inside.

Ace then turned towards Quer, who was still kneeling on the floor, and ordered in a cold tone.

"Prove your worth"

Quer nodded as he stood up and walked out of the room, unlike when Valent tried, there was no barrier to stop him as he walked out without any problems.

"Lord Ace, please follow me, I know where each and every person is"

Ace just nodded expressionlessly and Quer started walking.

Soon, the two appeared in front of a door and Quer spoke, "Lord Ace, we had 38 more companions, 4 of them should be here"

Ignoring Quer, Ace directly knocked on the door.

"Haa! Who the hell is here at this time of the day?" A lazy voice was heard and a man appeared.

"I am sorry customer but our shift is over so we wo-"

Before he could even complete, the man's head was already on the floor while a fountain of blood gushed out of his neck.

Of course, there was no trace of any blood on Ace's clothes. He had maintained an air barrier all around his body, so he was completely clean at the moment.

Ace then stepped over the man's body expressionlessly and entered the room.

"Who are y-"

Another 4 heads were severed and Ace walked out of that room as if nothing happened.

Though filled with different emotions, Quer decided to remain silent and walked towards another room.

One by one, Ace visited every single room and covered that room in blood.

Within 15 minutes, Ace killed all 37 people and was now standing in front of the last one.

"Who are you? There is no enmity betwee-"

With another head detached from the body and another life just ended.

Ace turned towards Quer and finally opened spoke, "You know what?"

"What is it, Lord Ace?"

"I hate traitors"

With those words, crimson flames covered Quer's entire body as he screamed in pain.

"AAAAGGHHHH!! YOU SAID THAT YOU WOULD LET ME LIVE!?!"

"I lied"

Ace replied calmly.

"AAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!"
