Chapter 113: Invite Me In

During the short car ride home, the pair chatted lightheartedly. And soon they arrived at their destination, a small old cottage in the outskirts of Oxford. Professor Wentworth parked his car, a Tesla, across the street from Aubrey's house. As if by second nature, the man immediately got out of his seat and opened the car door for her.

And when they walked across the street, Professor Wentworth made sure to stand on the side of the oncoming traffic.

'Professor Wentworth is so chivalrous. He's what you call a true British gentleman.' Aubrey thought with awe.

As Aubrey opened the lock to her front door, something unexpected occurred. A creaking sound could be heard from above and the roof atop the doorway suddenly began to give way! Aubrey was completely caught by surprise. She barely had the chance to react before she was enveloped into a tight hug. And her vision suddenly darkened.
