The skilled swordsman awakes 

In the evening my mom returned and we went to the police HQ together to retrieve my dad's body.

But we couldn't retrieve his body cause there was nothing left of his body. When he fell off the Valley his body was crushed and burned.

The car blasted after the fall. So there was nothing left of his body.

When my mom was crying in the HQ a police officer came and told sub inspector Willy Brand that 8 no house on lane 4 caught fire.

I smiled in between my fake crying when the police officer confirmed the blast.

After hearing the report Willy asked the officer "whose house it was?"

He replied, "It was Wist Aizer's house".

After hearing the name Willy replied, "Is he the journalist of Daily Brangel?"

He replied "Yeah and added that his wife Airin Aizer is here to meet him".

Willy expressed an emotion that told me that he was annoyed by her visit.

So he put on his hat and came to my mom and told her to be strong and apologized for leaving in this situation.

My mom replied, "No it's okay please do your job and don't worry about us".

After saying sorry he blabbered about how annoying the meeting with Airin is going to be.

That's when I was wondering in my mind who is she and if is she going to be a problem in the future.

To know about her I searched about her on the Internet and found out that Airin is the CEO of Daily Brangel News company. Daily Brangel is the largest news-providing company in Brangel City.

The company has contracts with Politicians, hitmen, Police, and a lot of powerful individuals.

I don't know if it's true or not but there is a rumor that they have a connection with a Child kidnapping gang 'Child Grippers'.

This gang is responsible for the murder of Christopher Brown.

After getting all the information on her I decided not to mess with her.

But in my mind, I was hoping that it's gonna be good if she chases me cause then I will trap her or will send her to the Kalid universe and going to ask her about the 'Child grippers'.

Sub Inspector Willy Brand went outside the HQ to meet Airin.

Airin was sitting in her expensive car so Willy got in the car. When he gets in the car she tells him to find the culprit in a week or he is going to lose his position.

He was stiffening his heart after hearing the threat but there was nothing he could do so he agreed and told her not to worry.

She informed him that she is coming to see him after a week but she will bring a murderer that time.

He assured her by saying "Relax I will catch the criminal so you don't have to bring any murderer".

After hearing his word she told him to get out and leave from here.

After getting out of the car he salutes her and waits until her car gets out of his sight.

When the car was completely out of his sight he sighed and went inside the HQ.

I was reading about Airin on my phone at that time that's when he came and sat on his chair and told his junior officers to accelerate the case of Wist.

The junior asked him "Did she give you a threat again?"

He nodded and replied, "Yeah she is a pain in the ass and this time the pain is going to get bigger, she isn't going to spare me until I find the killer of her husband".

"Are you sure that he died in the fire?" the junior asked.

Willy replied, "I don't know but still I have to present someone before her or she will rip me apart".

I heard their conversation and understood that I have to contact Robin soon to eliminate Airin or she is going to mess up our Dark Isekai project.

We stayed in the HQ for an hour and returned to our home. Tomorrow the Police department is going to hold a salute festival in respect of my father.

At the same time in the Kalid universe, Chris and his party are preparing themselves to fight the Phoenix Emperor.

Gilbert is carrying Harold and madam Trivut is helping Lara to walk. I and Draies are in our alert mode.

Somehow we reached in the front of the boss room where the Phoenix Emperor resides. It's a matter of wonder that no Phoenix vultures attacked us while we were marching.

But it seems like they were all waiting for us in front of the room. We have to defeat 50 phoenix vultures and 2 Evo vultures in order to enter the room.

So I cast my 'Worms of Dark' and Draies cast his 'Tree of Protection' to protect the injured Harold and Lara.

Tree of Protection is a mid-level heavy defensive spell. It creates a big tree that captures anything if anything comes near it by its roots and branches.

After securing the security of Lara and Harold, Draies indicates Madam Trivut to commence her attack.

So madam started her chanting and on the other side my 'Worms of Dark' were already destroyed by the phoenix vultures.

Worms of Dark killed just 5 vultures so I have to attack with more powerful spells if I want to defeat them.

But right now I have to buy some time for Madam so she can prepare her powerful spell 'Mercury Rain'.

As the name of the spell suggests, it rains mercury from the sky. It's a high-level attacking spell.

To buy some time for madam I cast my 'Vanishing hole' with full power. I just put some more mana when casting the spell and due to that, the spell becomes more powerful and effective.

My 'Vanishing hole' sucked 10 vultures and weakened other vultures. If I could just hold my Vanishing hole for more time then maybe I could kill more vultures.

But due to my over mana input, my mana circulation broke and the spell canceled itself.

After using my 'Vanishing hole' in full power my mana level dropped at the bottom. With the remaining mana I can only use a spell.

So I have to find a way to replenish my magical power or we are gonna die in the dungeon.

Due to my 'Vanishing hole,' Madam Trivut found some time and prepared her spell.

She casts her 'Mercury Rain' and finishes the remaining vultures. But her 'Mercury Rain' couldn't finish the 2 Evo vultures.

So Gilbert jumps with his hammer and tries to beat the Evo to the ground but he didn't notice that when he was jumping to beat a vulture the other one fired its flame.

So the flame hit him but due to his defense magic 'Armored layer' the damage wasn't that severe but that doesn't mean that he wasn't hurt.

He can't fight for some time now so we have to defeat the Evo's.

But I have run out of magical power and madam needs some time to replenish her mana. Draeis has casted his 'Tree of Protection' so he can't move from there as well or the spell will break.

So there is no one among us who can fight the Evo's but that's when Harold stood up with his sword.

We were all in shock when he stood up with his injury and burn.

Draies told him to lay down but he refused and took his Rover stand and slashed an Evo with his fifth form 'Crimson Slash'.

And slashed the other Evo in a blink of an eye with his Hage stand first form 'Fallen Knight'.

He slashed the both Evo's in front of our eyes and we were just standing there without helping him.

But the truth is he didn't need our help. After defeating the Evo's he collapsed but Draies quickly grabbed him and put him on the floor.

We were all surprised when he drew his sword cause he never draw his sword until he feels he is in danger and he didn't draw his sword in front of us before.

So we didn't know that he was that powerful. We always thought that his swordsmanship was poor and that's why he didn't want us to see it.

But who knew that he was a skilled swordsman?

Draies cast his 'Rain of Grace' again to heal Harold and Gilbert.

We dropped our weapons and took some rest there until Gilbert awakes.

He is the one who always makes the plan so there is no choice but to wait for his awakening.

After some time he awakened from his sleep and shouted "Phoenix Emperor be ready to get your head slashed by our swordsman".

Madam Trivut went near him and smacked his head with her hand and said 'You are a terrible person Gilbert, Harold protected us from the Evo's even when he was injured and you want him to get up again to do your job'.

Gilbert laughed and said, "I think it's my time to shine". (To be continued)
